Good morning Member Cruisers!
We sail in 34 weeks!

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for your kind thoughts and wishes. As I sat hear reading this morning I had a tear in my eye to think of how kind and caring you all are. It is really is amazing. You all are very kind. Again, Thank You.

Flo - Bolt is so adorable!!! I just love dogs. We have a golden retriever named Tessa. She is 3 years old and still a lot of puppy in her. She is calming down though. Hopefully Bolt isn't chewing too much stuff up. How old is he now?

Flo - the weather today wasn't bad like in the 20's, and that is above zero!!! :rotfl2: But we were having some seriously strong winds that were blowing the snow across the roads and drifting pretty good! Our ditches are full of snow and now with wind, it makes for some slick roads. I had to go to town today by noon and it wasn't too bad but by 3:30 or so when I came home it wasn't nice. Glad I will be spending the night at home. So, I guess, tomorrow, be prepared. :crazy2:

I agree, who changed the icons? My Woo Hoo guy isn't out there or the dancing banana. Which, he is one of my favorites. I'm not a person for change but . . .I will manage.

Well, just to keep you informed, my BIL has found out that he has a very agressive brain cancer. Nothing can be done. They removed the original tumor but it had fingers and is out there, attacking. They have given him 18-24 months. :sad1: They are going to fight it with chemo and radiation but . . . All I can say is that I am worried about my DH. Not really sure how all this, sorry, CRAP works, but my FIL passed away January 7, 2008 of lung cancer and just under a year later my BIL has brain cancer. Tonight the Margarita's are going down really good cuz, well. . . . Does anyone have any advice? I want the DH to got get a complete physical but my BIL had one in September, and said he was fine, and now look. I'm just worried. And :sad2: I know the dr's don't know everything and they are just practicing medicine, but couldn't they have seen something in September? Sorry, just venting. . .Margarita's.

Chris,

Very sorry to hear about your FIL and now your BIL's diagnosis. Best to keep your spirits and hopes up and be supportive of all his needs and wishes. My nephew had an inoperable brain tumor when he was 6yo and we were told that he had less than a year. He is now 22yo and cancer free. The chemo and radiation did wonders and even his doctors were amazed. So, we will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:

Chris,

Bolt is 12 weeks old today. He has not chewed to muc. He likes ankles, and those baby teeth hurt.

Take care! Enjoy your Sunday.

I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm still here. Sorry to hear about everyones bad weather, we have been fortunate to have dry 80's this past week, but then again, this is normal for about 8 months out of the year.
Don't have much to say, so I'll just be lurking around, watching everyone's conversations.
BTW, is anyone a Battlestar fan? What a crazy season opener.

It's snowing and about 27 HEAT WAVE:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:.

I like those kind of heat waves, but not the snow.

Good Afternoon. :wave2:

Well, we have been doing some vacation planning today, yeah!!!:thumbsup2 That cheers a person up. :goodvibes We got our flights booked into Orlando for September, we have our hotel arranged for that night which is the Hilton down in Melbourne. We have stayed there two other times and just love it. It is right on the ocean. Plus, it is free! Well, DH's Hilton Honors points free. Then we booked my dream resort. . .the Polynesian. . .for after the cruise. I have always wanted to stay there and it is a bucket list item for us. And since we will have no kiddos this trip we thought, why not! We are going to take Disney transportation from the port to the resort and then we will use the Magical Express back to the airport on Sunday. The only thing left to do is get a rental car from the airport down to Melbourne and to the port. Whewwwwwwww, I'm glad that is all taken care of. DH is not happy until everything is planned months, and months, and months in advance. :confused3 I don't know about him sometimes.

How about everyone else's plans?

Chris,

You had a very productive day. :thumbsup2 What airport do you fly out of? Are you coming into Orlando?
We don’t know how we are going to Orlando yet. We are thinking of driving, but are also looking into flying. It seams like air is on its way down. We could go out or O’Hare or Midway. I would prefer O’Hare because it is the closest.
We would come in on Saturday and will stay at WDW not sure were yet. We are leaving the day we get back. DH has to be back at work on Friday.
Have to decide soon.

We will probably be coming down just for the cruise. So all I'll need to worry about is airfare - and I haven't even done that yet!

I will be going back to WDW in October for the Tower of Terror 13k. I'll also be meeting up with friends in a Grand Villa in Kidani Village....so excited about that!:cool1:

Rehearsals for Nutcracker start the beginning of September, and my kids can't miss more than two rehearsals. (They even have to sign a performance contract.) So if we skip out on a pre/post WDW stay for the Member's Cruise - they won't miss any practices which are on Fridays and Saturdays.

That means I can take a longer vacation in October! ::yes::

Kelly,

I don't blame you for comming home then. DO you fly out of O'hare? I have been checking into the rockford airport. They have some good deals out of there. The only reason we will come in the day before is becaue it is a Saturday if it were a weekday we would not.
Going to WDW in October will be fun. Will it ge decorated for Hallowen when you are there?
That is cool that they are in the Nutcracker.:thumbsup2 I guess they are trying to teach the kids to be responsible.
Have a good evening.

I usually fly out of Milwaukee. I'm only about 45 minutes from the airport and it is SOOOOO easy to fly out of there. Sometimes the flights are a little more expensive, but its worth it to not have to hassle with O'Hare. I really don't like flying out of O'Hare.

I'm the same way, part of my vacation is the planning. I love everything to be taken care of way in advance.
We've got reservations for Delta airlines to Orlando, Magical Express to Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani, paid for DCL shuttle transfer. After the cruise we have a car rented to drive down to Vero Beach through the weekend, then be back in San Diego Sunday night at midnight.
The only thing that is still up in the air is how to get to Trifty car rental after the cruise. They have the cheapest rates but I don't know if they pick up from the terminal.
