Just reading through the first post again and wondering about the cost of the party bus? It sounds like fun.

EMERGENCY!!!!!!!!

The recipe says "put sugar, honey, corn syrup in a pot" but no where does it list any sugar measurement! Popcorn popping NOW!!! HELP!

Peanut Butter Popcorn:
3qt popped popcorn(1/2cup unpopped), 1 1/2cup peanuts (we use slivered almonds in stead of peanuts), 1/2 cup honey, 1/2 cup light corn syrup, 1 cup peanut butter (any brand, creamy or chunky) and 1 teaspoon vanilla
Pop the corn (remove all unpopped kernels) and place in large pot with peanuts or almonds. Hold in a 200 degree oven while you do the following....combine sugar, honey and corn syrup in a heavy pot, stirring often while bringing to a slow boil. Bring mix to 234 degrees....then remove from heat...next add the peanut butter and vanilla, stir well. Combine coating with the popcorn and nuts....working QUICKLY, stir to coat well. Spread out on a baking sheet to cool. Enjoy!!!!!
This recipe takes about 15-20 minutes to make

Well, made it without any added sugar. Waiting for it to cool. Does it get not so wet and gooey in awhile?

That sounds like such a fun time. Have you ever eaten at the Irish restaurant at Downtown Disney, Raglan Road? OMG!

Haven't ever eaten there, but have passed it many many many times recently passing from the Marketplace to the West Side. :)

Monika

So it'll stay kinda gooey without the sugar?

It's still gooey now but OH MY GOSH, it tastes so good!!!!!

I put some plastic wrap over the pan......as it's never lasted more than 24 hours.

Monika:flower3:

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of!!! Maybe if I'd take the tray of it off of my lap!!!

Mark and I just got back from a wonderful weekend in Galena, IL. We are big Irish music fans and go to a celebration each summer in Milwaukee, WI called Irish Fest. Well one of your favorite groups was playing in Galena this weekend at a pub that is attached to this nice boutique hotel called The Irish Cottage. We went up Friday morning and went to their shows on both Friday night and last night. Saturday during the day we went shopping in downtown Galena which is a quaint little town full of antique and other eclectic shops. It was a nice little getaway for both of us and just what we needed. So if I wasn't around much you now know why. :)

Glad to hear that you had a great weekend. I am on the computer implementation team at work and relaxing weekends are very important to keeping your sanity.

Good morning everyone - happy Monday!

Thanks for the welcome back. We did have a great time and that area is lovely. Only thing that could have made it better was if the weather was a bit sunnier and warmer. It was cold and grey and we even had a few snow flakes. Oh well that's November in the Midwest! :)

Back to work today!
