That is when we decided to go since we are not going this year. We will be there around the 10th of December. When are you going? We are only going for 3 or 4 days.

That is to funny that we will be out there at the same time. Don't know when we are doing the MVMCp yet either. There are other things to do. We are going th ave to decide what is important and what is not with only being there 3 or four day.

Sounds like micro-mini-meet time. We're going Dec. 6-11, 2009! DH really wants to see the parks lit up. We've never seen the Osbourne lights or the new crystal castle. I hope they keep that effect until then! I'm pretty sure we'll be at AKV since that's our DVC home resort.

I second that. A mini meet. i have never been to Disny for Christmas. That i s why I am so excited. Not sure were we are going to stay. Are home resort is SSR but I was thinking of trading to stay at Polynesian. We will see.

I love going to Disney during the Christmas season.
I think all the Christmas decorations are taken down sometime in January.

Welcome aboard Ralph! I see you've already been directed to the first post so you know all that is happening!

Mark and I just got back from a wonderful weekend in Galena, IL. We are big Irish music fans and go to a celebration each summer in Milwaukee, WI called Irish Fest. Well one of your favorite groups was playing in Galena this weekend at a pub that is attached to this nice boutique hotel called The Irish Cottage. We went up Friday morning and went to their shows on both Friday night and last night. Saturday during the day we went shopping in downtown Galena which is a quaint little town full of antique and other eclectic shops. It was a nice little getaway for both of us and just what we needed. So if I wasn't around much you now know why.

Just took a minute to catch up what's happening on this thread. Glad to hear you & Mark had a fun weekend. Sounds like a nice place.

My DH & I were talking about going to Disney one Christmas. I would love to see all the decorations. We do not know when we could go though. Hopefully, it will be in the next couple of years.

They are only available this year in a limited quantity to annual passholders.

It was! I work with someone who goes to WDW the same week (right after Thanksgiving) every year because the crowds are less, lines aren't long and she said she can really take her time and enjoy the parks. I'd like to do that again one year.

My sister in law’s brother goes every year for Thanksgiving. He said it is amazing that you go to bed at night and the parks are normal and you wake up the next day and it is Christmas.

But then again that is the Disney Magic

That's true! I used to like it when they made all of the changes while everyone was sleeping. You would never see someone planting flowers during the day but now times have changed, even at WDW!

You are so right times change! But no mater what Disney is still Magical for me. It give you that chance to be a kid again.

That is SO true! DH and I are thinking of having our vows renewed in 2010 and I requsted information today for both WDW and DCL. I think I would prefer DCL but want to get all of the information.
