So, I declare tomorrow P-DAY!!It is packing day- that's for sure!! It must be done tomorrow before I have to work 2-9:30 (yuck) in order to keep my sanity.... I want Wednesday to be clean up day- wash bedding etc... and that's it!! I hope I stick to this plan!! Cuz we leave Thursday!!

I was stuck at work... it was kind of like that this weekend too- on and off on here. People have lots to do!! but they can't stay away from the boards either!! I know the feeling!

Thanks Flo. I was getting teary eyed with you guys talking about your dogs - I miss my Holly soooo much. Just isn't the same without her around.

I know how you feel. My dog... my old dog, Ginger... was very much the love of my life. Total sweetie. And I had to put her down a few years ago. No dog seems to live up to her. This new one, Roxy... she's a sweetie too- but we're still in the adjustment period. Getting to know her, and getting to trust her with my kids etc. Since she has a past we don't know much about, I'm just kind of leary. I don't want to get myself all attached, and have her snap at them... so we will wait and see. She really needs a forever home, and I would like to give her that. She just needs to earn it here! Once she does that, she's got a new place! If she'd just stop eating toys..... ha! Oh well, it may help my kids remember that they need to put those pesky toys away after playing with them....

We are flying out of Chicago's Midway- and they will fly in anything for the most part... didn't want to have to worry about delays and cancellations that tend to happen at O'Hare. Of course, we are taking Southwest, and they also have a history of landing planes in the middle of the intersection.... but that is another story! At least the will and the life insurance is up to date!! Sheesh! No, I'm not worried about getting there.... but my hubby's all worried about some tropical depression thats down there now....

I told him I wasn't even going to look- because even if it rains, I'm going to have lots of fun!! I have soooo been looking forward to this trip, that I can't imagine not having an excellent time.

Yes, you really do need to be extra careful because you have young children. Things can happen sooo fast. I wish you luck with her - but take it slow!
