My cruise documents arrived this afternoon! Interestingly, they only had stuff for me. So I went on UPS and used Sandi's zip code. Well, it looks like Sandi is getting hers separately. That was a bit surprising but nice.

Anyways, my question is: What are the luggage tags used for? Are they used to get your luggage to your cabin? i.e. for those of us driving, do we just need to put them on prior to checking in at the cruise terminal? Basically, their instructions didn't cover the "you are getting here on your own" case and I am being a bit dense today.

Yes they are for getting from the porters (where you drop them off) to your cabin. Put them on before you arrive at the terminal.

My DW just returned from Chicago, she was out there on business for three days, hopefully she will bring the good weather with her! It has been extremely hot while she was out there.(90's +)

I got tickets for opening day to the walt disney museum in san francisco!!



I was told that opening day was sold out, but I got tickets...will be there for a conference after the cruise, and this is something I didn't want to miss...I decided it is too much trouble to fly from SF to LA and back again and then fly home, so we will forego the DL two day trip and do that at a later date. But I am so excited!!!

I enjoy them both for different reasons. Disneyland is smaller so easier to get around and besides it is Walt's park. You can walk where he walked etc. I like that you can walk from the hotels to the two parks and the two parks are right across from each other so a very simple walk.

WDW on the other hand is much bigger and offers so much more with the water parks, golf, etc. and 4 parks instead of 2.

If you have never been to Disneyland I highly recommend it.

DisneyLand was the first park I ever went to. It was my High school classs trip. Way back when. So that park will always have a special place in my heart. But now that they have CA Adventure it is more fun. Like Mary it is great that you can get to either park and the hotels in a couple of steps. They also have a Down Town Disney, it is a little different then FL.

But I do like WDW, there is more to do and also a better variety.

But I do believe that if you have a chance you should go there. After all it is still Disney and what is not to love about that.

I guess they are both special in there own way.

I realize most sane people would be sleeping at this time of night.... go figure that I'm the only one out here!

Don't feel bad! I would've been here too but couldn't get online. My battery died in December and I don't want to spend $150 for new one.


As far as theme for the Member cruise goes, I know everyone wants to know what's "behind the curtain?"

While DVC knows what awaits us, maybe they don't want to take the excitement away from us! Think of the movie the Goonies. When they went down the slide, they had no idea what was waiting for them. They were totally surprised. Maybe DVC is the same way.

Why do they have to tell us? Think of it another way. You are expecting your first child and before the technician begins the ultra-sound she asks the soon to be parents if they want to know the sex of their child. While they want to say YES, both tell the tech no. The have decided they want to keep the sex of their child a complete surprise!

This may not be what cruisers want to know but think of it this way . . . knowing the who, what, where, when and how much? Okay, all of us know what they how much is But think of it in the context listed above. Wouldn't it be nice to not know what's going to happen?

Then again, DVC may want everyone to be surprised! They want the whole experience to be a surprise! Just as it was on my first DVC cruise. I had read many things online but nothing beats stepping aboard!! JMHP

Wow, Susan, I am soooo jealous. I really want to go there, but to go on opening day - wow!!! Take me with you! I hope you take some pictures to share.
