No doubt about it :thumbsup2 .

And if you couldn't tell, I tagged myself!

Hi everyone!

I have some catchin' up to do. Will someone be so kind to give me a summary of what's up, what's not, when, where, what's in and out, etc?

I've read through 15 pages of postings and noticed that most of you are northerners? Would like to meet you guys--put a face with the name and postings (not that i've read all 1,000 plus)

well, looking forward to exchangig hellos with you:)

:welcome:

I responded to your post back in June. Glad you finally found us.

As Flo said all the info is on the first post and the website.

While you may be too late for some things you are more than welcome to attend either or both of the DIS meets.

Any questions just ask away and we'll try and answer.

PDFG and all our friends who need it!

Can't remember who mentioned Disney Files but we got ours yesterday. Two things in it that I loved:

1) The article on page 8 about Ko Olina. We can't wait to add on there!

2) the article on page 15 about Vacation Guide Michael Collier. I got to see his presentation on the 2006 Member Cruise when he was a WDW Ambassador. What a wonderful young man. I'm sure he will do very well with DVC!

We are too far from Cape Canaveral to hear the launches. I haven't seen a night launch. Either I forgot or wasn't home for any that were in the early evening. If it a launch was after 10pm, it's too late for me..

I have been threatening to go over to the coast inthe afternoon and just STYAY there until the launch this week! I am just afraid I will get so bored just waiting (and so hot!)

Wow is everyone going on the WBTA? Did you all use points or $$$ ? :worship:

Yeah, living on the East Coast, hot and muggy is what we get alot of the time. I'd much rather be in the mid to upper 60's or low 70's. That's my favorite. I do like snow though we haven't had much in the past few years.
We WERE going to go on the WBTA, but now we are just doing the Northern Capitals June 12. 2X flying is too much money!

I was on the magic in june of 2006 and we got down to 1 minute before the shuttle launch before it was stopped. They had it on the jumbo screen and we where so sad it didn;t go off.

That happens all the time! One time when we lived in Winter Springs, we drove over to the Banana River, straight across from where they go off to see a Delta rocket go. We had to go over 4 TIMES!!!!! It finally went. I want to be near for a shuttle launch. We see them all the time from our back yard, but it's so far away. I want to be RIGHT THERE and feel the earth shake!

Ok, I'm bad. I can't remember reading this and can't remember for sure who's SIL was doing an 18 wheel drive challenge, I think it is Dianne or Sue (?), but I never heard how he did in the competition. I hope he did well.

Chris,

That was Dianne SIL. But that is a great question. Dianne how did he do?

Your Right it was me. I thought about it last night, but I thought I had already posted and did not want to repeat myself, We'll they went and had a great time, he did not win, he was kicked out of the competion on Friday, But at least now he knows what to expect. So he going to compete again next year. And if he gets the the finals it will be Ohio in October.

Dianne,
How is the little one feeling? Better I hope. DS didn't feel well last night, but after I let him sleep until noon today, he seems much better. :thumbsup2

She is doing better, she has broncotis...not sure I spelled that right,,,Welcome to school right:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. We have to make sure she stays well, she has a special condition called PKU, her body does not get rid of excess protien. and have to watch everything she puts in her mouth.

Poor baby! I get that a couple times a year. I know how out of it I can be I can't imagine how she feels. In fact I am going to the Doc on monday to make sure I have a new inhaler for the trip.

Congrats to both of you,

Thanks

well I am waiting for my turn...I always get it from somebody...

I was at the doctors today and we are going to try something different.
He is putting me on Tylenol pm when I go to bed.

Since I am not sleeping well, it takes me forever to fall asleep, and I wake up stiff every morning. we will see what ti does for me tonight. maybe I won't be on the boards and facebook till midnight.:goodvibes

Hope that works for you.:) I know what you mean about not sleeping. If I get 5 hours a sleep a night I am happy. I am up but in bed watching tv and to lazy to get up to use the computer.

How is you Blood Pressure Meds working?

I am sooooooo p.o'd. right now. I just spent an hour doing responses and my computer decides not to cooperate and they are all lost. And there was stuff I really wanted to say and comment on and now it is gone. And I can't remember what I said now. :headache::headache::headache:

For one thing, thank you all for your nice comments. You are all so kind. I can't wait to meet you.

We are doing the waverunner thing for our excursion on Monday at like 11:00. Hope DH doesn't throw me off the thing cuz I'll never be able to climb back on :lmao:

Love parasailing. You all will have a blast! Enjoy.

Congrats to the :bride: and pirate: winners.

Joanne - I'm with you on Serenity Bay and Bloody Mary's! :yay:

Thanks Dianne for letting us know about your SIL. Better luck next time!

Lisa - congrats to you!

I know I had more and better responses, sorry I lost them. :sad1:

.

Our youngest daughter is doing great, clean going on 4 years. She is married and has a 2 year old. If ever anyone thinks it would never happen to their family, addiction knows no boundaries. I never dreamed as a nurse that any of our children would have become an addict. But it happened. And for almost 2 years we were looking for her, and found out she was in Philadelphia, homeless and alone, going from shelter to shelter, crack house to crack house...and it took a lot of prayer, lots of prayer for me to survive that ordeal. DH used to walk the streets of the worst area in Phila on Fri and Sat nights looking for her, and asking dealers, pimps and prostitutes and police if they knew her. I was told to check the morgues in Phila by the Phila detectives...and each time I thought I could not take one more day of the pain of losing my daughter, I would get a glimmer of hope..a momentary phone call from her or someone and then she would disappear again. But the man she married took her in off the streets and sent her home to us...she went through her 3rd rehab, but really wanted to survive this time, to a half way house and then she got married and the rest is a happy story.
I thank God every day for saving her. When she was gone, I used to just pray that God would keep her alive. And my prayer was answered.

So there you have it.

Susan
Wow! You have been through a lot but yet, you continued to persevere even though there are others who would've walked away. I am moved by your love. :grouphug:

No. But I'm kinda upset today. The more I look at it the more I don't like it. I'v been going to the same hairdresser for a long time, but I may have to change. I'm going to give it a few days and think about it, but I may have to get it cut again. :sad1:

Sue let me tell you about my bad hair day.

When I was younger I got a perm. Well I used to go to him all the time. He used the small rollers. When he took them out it was not bad. But by Monday my hair looked like a brillo pad. I called him (did not go to work) and when I walked in you should have sceen his face. He trimed it a little but it still looked yucky. But I had to live with it or have him use the stripper and that I was not going to do. Now I think about it and laugh. not then.;)
Oh my goodness, I got a perm(from a local hair "dresser" around the corner from my house. I went there for my graduation picture and hated it. It looked like a steel wool pad or poodle!! I cried for days. Finally, I went to a real hair salon and they cut off the poodle ears and as much of the "burned" hair as possible. I had my graduation picture taken again and believe it or not, my husband keeps that picture on his bedroom dresser.

:welcome: :sail:You don't have to read every page in this, the third part of SSMC09. Just jump in and don't forget to ask questions. I may not know the answer but I'm sure someone here will. ;)

I was reading on one of the other messages about these two magazines and I ordered them...Celebration and Orlando Attractions. Those who subscribe say that they are really good...so, as much as I love getting my DVC magazine, I can look at this and dream some more!!!

Afraid of heights, so no parasailing for Susan...Maybe if it was dark like space mountain... I don't mind that because I don't know where I am, but then again, what would be the sense of parasailing, right?

Wow! These look like good reading. Where did you find the information?

I have been on this board since 2004 and I want a TAG...where is the TAG FAIRY? I just can't get one...I think I say some rather profound things, don't you all?
Someone gave me two tags that aren't even pertinent any more.
