Some days I wish I could get a full time job (like when the bills are all due! :rotfl2:) but I take care of my mom between two and three days a week. So I substitute teach at our local schools, because I have the flexibility to adjust my schedule for hers (like doctor appt. and such). But she needs me, and she has always been there for me - so guess what, the bills can wait a bit longer! :rotfl:

That is a full time job!!! What a sweet daughter, we can all only wish we will have kids that are able to help out like that:littleangel:

I'll never forget for the first five years after my youngest was born we would listen to Disney Classics in my truck. Somedays even when she wasn't in there it would still be playing and my friends would be like what are you listening to:lmao:

I get that same odd look from my friends too! Like I'm crazy or something!! ;)

It's pretty yucky outside today. My DH is coming home early from work so that I can get some stuff done... I need to run to the store to pick up some ingredients for my favorite home made potato soup:lovestruc- seems like the weather will certainly cooperate for some of my fall favorites... (I'm going to make a double batch today! And then I'm going to clean up a bit without the kids pulling on my legs every time I take a step. Wow- won't that be amazing. Maybe I can even fit in a short nap.....

Hope all turns out as planned!! Hopefully he will be taking them away so you can get that alone time.

Ah, yes, music to work by - just put on my CD of the Millenium Celebration at Epcot. I really used to love that parade - the one with all of the really tall walkers and big drums! :yay:

speaking of celebrations- is the theme at the parks still million dreams? guess I could go hunt down the info on the website, but that would get me started on an entirely too long journey surfing the web.

the original plan was for them to go somewhere, but now it's raining a bit again... so as long as he keeps him in the basement... and doesn't do the "oh, we just needed a mommy hug" trick, it will work.

I'm going to lock the door to my room just in case! :lmao:

No. Now it's that "What will you celebrate?" and you can come free on your birthday.

It's "What Will You Celebrate?" or something like that.

I like to be at the high school but middle will do. I don't do it at the elementary school. Too old and not enough patience for that! :rotfl2:

what do you prefer about high schoolers over the middles schoolers?

Middle schoolers are generally to big for their britches - they talk too much and try to act too tough! I can usually reason with the high school kids - key word there was "usually". :rotfl:

that's funny! I'm not a big fan of that middle school age... I remember when I was that age- and "those" kids annoy me! ha! although I am hoping that may daughters too big for her britches attitude will be gone by then... and the eye rolling will subside.... :cloud9: I could be dreaming.

I just laugh at them and that usually makes them mad enough that they don't bother me anymore.

My daughters kindergarten teacher gets all of the "I love you's" from the kids... that's nice- they still want to behave for you then!! Too bad that feeling doesn't last forever!

Dave - Wewill have a drink if I get one

Carrie - Potato soup sound so good on a day like today

I love potato soup- it is sooo good and easy to make. I can post the recipe if anyones interested.
