If anyone flies Airtran, there is a $25 coupon, one per email address for travel up to 12/18. If you would like the link, pm me.

I just saved $250 on our flights for December. WOW

Thanks for the congrats, everyone!

DH has been thinking on the 24-hour food thing and he had a thought - Is the Coffee Bar/Lounge open 24 hours, because I think they serve snack-type food there? Not sure though. Can't think of any other place that is 24-hour.

Congrats to Dianne on the :bride:

Congrats to Sue on the pirate:

Well its official, Sandi & I are driving down to FL for the cruise. I cancelled our airfare last night, so now there is no turning back. :rotfl2:

Hope you have as much fun on your road trip as we do on ours. We love driving down now. Get to visit Chick Fil A and Sonic - things we can't do around here.

Hi everyone, I have been in traing today for new accounting software....boring.

Glad I don't have to sit in on the next two days.

DH is still job less. oh well...may be soon

Software training - welcome to my world for the last 6 months and the next 6 months. :) I love learning new things however.

Here's hoping your DH gets a new job soon.

Does any one know if you can get 24 hour food on the ship, with out using room service

Thanks for the congrats, everyone!

Room service is the only place for 24 hour food. 24 hour beverages are available at the beverage station on deck 9.

Cove Cafe is open from 7 am until Midnight.

Late night snacks can be found at:

Goofy's Galley (open to 11 pm)

Pinocchio's Pizza (open to Midnight)

Snacks also come out at the Promonade Lounge and Route 66 from 11 pm to Midnight.

Hi, everyone...have been catching up when I can on your lives/activities.
DD had her impacted wisdom teeth cut out and now she has a dry socket so we have to drive her to the oral surgeon 90 min away daily. If she lived with me, it wouldn't have happened...have to keep the gauze wet and stop it after the heavy bleeding stops...so she is in severe pain. And then I am going over to my aunt's house to give her her lovenox injections after work...it upsets me that she was rushed out of the hospital after her hip replacement with very little instruction on injecting herself. She is 76 and too afraid to do the shots...I am an RN and I think that some doctors and nurses forget that these things aren't easy for just everyone. I can remember a surgeon demanding that this 78 year old lady be taught how to pack her husband's abdominal wound daily so that he could go home. I had to step in and advocate for this patient and wife...the medical profession thinks just because it is second nature to them it should be to the average person....I guess wisdom comes with age.

Susan

Susan,
Have been through wisdom teeth with DH and both older DS's but thank goodness none had a dry socket. I had one once and it is so painful. I hope DD is feeling better!

Hello everyone. It's hump day but for me it is my Friday since I will not be working tomorrow and Friday. DH's brother is getting married on Saturday and DH is in the wedding so we have a lot of running around to do. Take care.

Marsha,
Are you coming up to Jersey for the wedding or is it down by you? Weddings are great - have a great time?
(sorry I typed faster - :rotfl:

Flo,
I hope the job trail heats up for you real soon - and for everyone else who is in the same place right now. I know how tough it is. After 18 months of being laid off and doing odd jobs in construction, DH finally got a full time job in November and (knock on wood) it's going great. Happy thoughts to all who are looking!

Mary,
Hope you are feeling well today - Happy Wednesday! :flower3:

Hi Everyone!!

Sounds like you all are keeping busy. No time to comment on individual posts so I will send my well wishes to all those under the weather. Glad to see others are feeling better and getting back to normal routines.

Class 2 of 7 was tonight and had my first quiz. 10/10 so that is a good start.

I think someone had inquired as to the classes I am taking...maybe it was Chris. I am working on a Master of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Assurance.

The specific class I am taking right now is Security Concerns with Radio Frequency Identification. Exciting stuff!! It actually is pretty interesting. That is until I have to read about all the really technical stuff like frequencies, wave lengths, etc. Fortunately we are focusing our efforts on solving a business problem with RFID for our research paper. We get to pick the industry and business problem. The paper does not have to be all the technical details.

Did you all know that your passports (as of 2006) have RFID tags in them? It contains the information that is printed in your passport as well as a digital picture.

Okay, well I am exhausted and I have to get up earlier to get DS off to Scout Day Camp, DD off to summer camp at school (we can not call it school or she refuses to go - as long as we call it camp I can usually convince her to get up and get ready):confused3, and myself off to work in the office tomorrow.

Enjoy the rest of your week and the weekend. We are heading to my parents in Cape May. The boys are going fishing out on a charter boat and the girls will probably go to the beach. Oh, did I tell you we started the fish extender - started being the key word here - last weekend when we were at my parents. And, DD picked out your FE gifts when we were at sunset beach in Cape May. She was very excited! If she had her way you would all get Cape May diamonds off the beach. Not sure you would all appreciate then as much as we do around here. This is something my grandparents took me to do when I was a little girl. They are clear and when you clean and polish them they look like diamonds. Okay, sort of like diamonds.

Okay, I am really signing off this time.

Good Night!!

I know what you mean but mine is only 10 days before the cruise. Shame Disney won't give me free admission for having a birthday in that month, since I won;t be there on my birthday,

I agree; not everyone can get to Disney exactly on their birthday. I think they should give a little leeway.

Ok for all those keeping track, DH has recovered pretty much from the knee surgery and is being released, to go back to work.

So tomorrow its off the the Union Hall to see if there is a job for him. He said there are 2 calls for a job tomorrow, So we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Oh well if it dosen't happpen tomorrow, thats OK, he can then go to Therapy in the morning. He says the more he walks the better the leg feels.

Good luck to your DH. We've also been in that situation and it's no fun at all.

My mom got sent home w/Lovenox too, but at 78 she simply could not handle them herself. I'm sure that there are many older folks who can do it, but I really think doctors need to evaluate their patients better. My mom would just not have had the injections if I hadn't been available to do them. Makes you wonder.

Congrats to all the pirate and bride winners. (I continue my streak of never being online at the right time. :upsidedow )

Good morning everyone - happy Thursday!

Lisa - great news on your test. Good luck with the rest of the class and enjoy your weekend at Cape May.

Good Morning all....Hope its a great day for all... :thumbsup2

:confused3On July 4, I ordered from the Disney store, I had not recieved my package so when I checked the tracking # UPS told me the package had arrived in the city but the label was not readable and the package was returned to Disney, I contacted Disney only to be told I must contact UPS. Ups gave us a new tracking # and told you we had to contact Disney,,,is your head spinning as much as mine....So I emailed Disney last night...we will see what happens now.:confused3

Good Night!!

I would LOVE a Cape May diamond!!! Really, I would..so please please give me one in my FE!!! When I was a kid up to being a young adult, loved going to NJ shore...WW Crest, Cape May, wonderful memories. My parents moved to Surfside Beach SC (grandstrand of Myrtle Beach) in the 80's and were there for 22 years...my favorite thing was to collect the smooth stones on the beach and little shells...DH threw them out last year without my knowing it...ARGGG and I was so upset. Mom and Dad went back home in May and I asked them to collect some smooth stones from the beach, but they never went out to the beach the entire 2 weeks they were there!! I doubt I will ever go back there because there is no family there anymore...long drive from PA. Maybe I could convince my family to go there for a vacation...we all used to go there for Thanksgiving week and stay in condos..FUN.
I think I will have to start thinking of Cape May for next year with my family.
Beautiful place.

Computers...oh, I admire anyone who has that ability.

Ok, listen you all, you could have my job...wound care...I was treating someone with rotted flesh and maggots yesterday...smelly stuff and not at all something you would want to see. Hey, someone has to do it, right?

Pixie dust :wizard: to those of you looking for jobs, everyone who is under the weather, to Mary for her ongoing treatments...and anyone else who needs some!!!

Happy Thursday...oh, one more day and it is the weekend!! WOO HOO...and payday which makes it better yet.

Congrats on the :bride:and pirate:!

Blessings,
Susan

This is one of our cats. His name is A.J. (Almond Joy). He is a very sick old kitty boy. Please keep us in your thoughts today.

Gary

P.S. Last years member cruisers will remember this picture. He was counting the number of trick or treaters we had three years ago.;):rolleyes1
