09/12/10 - DVCers Take Over the Wonder (S.S. Member Cruise 2010) - Thread #1

I've been away from the thread for a while for a great reason! My daughter had a baby! We now have a new little princess to introduce to Mickey! Yeah! Arianna was so excited to join our little family that she arrived 2 months early! Her sister did the exact same thing. As it turns out, my daughter is a microwave mom. She doesn't need the typical 9 months apparently. She also likes to stress all of us out with these dramatic deliveries.
But all seems well at the moment and we're just visiting Arianna in NICU until she is ready to come home.
Maybe next year she can join us on the Member cruise!!

Congrats!!!! How exciting! I love her name, too! Hopefully she won't have to spend too much time in NICU, I'm sure that's pretty stressful for her mommy & daddy, and you too!

I'm so excited. DH booked me for a pedicure this trip, again. Had one on last year's members cruise and it was love at first foot touch! Gosh was that ever relaxing. The best part is is that it is booked for Sunday at 2:00 before we ever leave port, so my feet will look good the whole time we are on the cruise!

Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes for Arianna and our family. She is up to 2 pounds and 14 ounces today! Woo hoo!!
We booked our excursions so it feels like we are really going! DD stood over my shoulders and picked everything she wanted to do We are parasailing, snorkeling and of course have floats and bikes. I think we would have fun on the island for a week!! Just hanging out in the water, floating around. We would be burned to a crisp, but it would be fun too.

We got 10:00 am!! Which was PERFECT for me because I wanted it to be as early as possible so that it didn't interfere with the rest of our sea day. Did you book Palo brunch too? If so, what time did you get?

What an excellent way to start the cruise!!!! I'm just going to treat myself before we leave home....but that's definitely something for me to keep in mind for our next cruise.

Nope, not at this time. The only other thing that sounds like something we want to do is the jet ski thing. But it is not something we have to do and with the girls only being 17 and 14 they would want to drive one and I believe you have to be 18 to drive one.

I just love being on the island. We have also never rented bikes or anything like that so we may do that.

It was a beautiful weekend and the storms held off here until almost 7pm - so that made it twice as nice!! I am SOOOOO not ready to get back to normal - we were all late getting up this morning. I guess no one wanted to get on with the week!!!

GREAT, HOW MANY ARE YOU, WE ARE ONLY 2 AND RIGHT NOW THERE ARE ONLY 5 and 6 TABLES, I WOULD RESERVE IF I CAN GET 6 OF US. I JUST CALLED DISNEYCRUISELINE. TO BOOK A DINNING RESERVATION YOU LINK YOUR RESERVATION WITH THE OTHER RESERVATIONS INVOLVED. FOR EXAMPLE WE ARE LINKED WITH 3 OTHER COUPLES FOR DINNER SEATING. WHAT THE CRUISELINES WOULD DO IS UNLINK OUR LINK WITH THE OTHER RESERVATIONS THEN ID MAKE RESERVATION AT PALOS AND BE LINKED WITH THE OTHER RESERVATIONS WHO WERE SEATING WITH US. ONCE THE RESERVATION IS BOOKED THEN DCL UN LINKS US WITH THE RESERVATIONS WHO WILL BE BOOKED WITH US FOR PALOS AND RE LINK OUR RESSERVATION WITH OUR ORIGINAL LINK FOR DINNERS.
I GUESS THAT IS CLEAR AS MUD, BUT THATS HOW THEY DO IT. 2 PEOPLE CANT JUST BOOK A TABLE OF 6 AND ASK 4 OTHERS TO SIT WITH THEM. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU CANT DO IT THAT WAY. Unfortunately, I can't book until June 14th since I am silver CC member. I so want to do Palo brunch again and have my family experience it as well. Keeping my fingers crossed.
