MAYBE SOMEONE HAS A SUGGESTION FOR ME. WE REALLY LIKE THE MUSIC THEY PLAY AT OKW AND ID LIKE TO HAVE CD RUNNING IN BACKYARD WHILE IM WORKING AROUND THE YARD OR WORKING REALLY HARD:cool1:FLOATING IN THE POOL WITH MY RUM IN MY HAND. DOES ANYONE HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR WHAT GOOD CARIBBEAN MUSIC COULD BE USED TO SIMULATE THE SOUNDS OF OKW.

Plans for the weekend. Baseball baseball baseball. Son is playing in Md state championships. Our draw was not real good so we will have to play at the top of our game to make it to Monday. Have to run to costco to get some steaks because will probably be able to cook em up on Monday lol.

11 days of school left woohoo.

Have a good week.

Scott

Good luck to your son's baseball team!!!

Can anyone tell me if the Glass Bottom Boat is worth going on and how much it costs? :goodvibes

My opinion....no. We did one once (not at CC though) and we couldn't see anything. It was a waste of money.

Happy Birthday Chris!!!

Busy day at work - my air conditioning there has been broken all week - the landlord sent the maintanence man in yesterday - no luck - I can't take it anymore!!!:furious: I told them I will not come back until I have air!!!! It doesn't help that we are on the third floor and the windows are nailed shut AND everyone that comes into my office says - OH IT IS HOT IN HERE!!!:headache: Like I was lying!!!

I hope they fix your air FAST!

Sorry....no clue as to what music they play at OKW. I hope someone is able to help you with that. How awesome it would be to have OKW music playing in your backyard!!!

I MENTIONED I HAD PHOTO OF FISH FRENZY OVER OATMEAL!!! THIS WAS FROM THE SIDE OF THE BOAT.

IMG_0830.jpg

WE DID THIS ONCE, WE ENJOY WALKING OUT TO OUR SPOT AT SERENITY BAY WHERE THE FISH HANG OUT. ONE TIME LAURA AND I STOOD THERE FOR 4 HOURS:rotfl2: WATCHING THE FISH SWIM AROUND US. WE BOTH HAD A RED RING AROUND OUR WAISTS FROM THE SUN:rotfl2: SO I THINK IM GOING TO SAY ID RATHER DO THE SEADOOING AND OR GO TO THE ADULT BEACH OR FAMILY BEACH AREA INSTEAD OF GLASS BOTTOM BOAT. WE DIDNT SEE TOO MUCH UNTIL HE TOSSED THE OATMEAL OVERBOARD.

Happy belated Birthdays to Chris and Bob!!!!

We'll keep our fingers crossed for you Scott!!!

Ian, cool pics of the fish!

Terrie :)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone. And Ian, nope we can't forget each others birthdays. I guess the one good thing about the way that our birthdays are is that if he would ever forget mine he would be in big doo doo! :rotfl2:

We have never done the glass bottom boat at CC but we did it on our honeymoon back 20 years ago and said that is just something we would never do again. Thought it was pretty much a waste. But maybe the experience at CC is better than what we had over in Nassau. I guess you will never know until you try. Everything is worth doing at least once then you will know. Good luck on your decision.

Ian - got your pool open and going? We have ours up and running but we have these dang little gnats that are just terrible this year. They are everywhere. In town, in the country, ball fields, just everywhere. And they bite. We are covered in bites. Bob is trying his best to get rid of them so we can enjoy the pool. But it is hard to go outside right now because of them. And we love to be out in our pool, and like you, with a libation in hand! :thumbsup2

Well, have a great day!

Any idea where I can find schedule for 4th of July at MK. I was on info site the other day and found schedule but they have not listed fireworks. We were there last year and saw part of show on the 3rd then insanity set in and we went to mk after dinner on the 4th to watch fireworks with the other 80,000 people. Actually we went to dinner at whispering canyon cafe then planned on taking boat to contemparary resort then monorail to poly and watch fireworks from beach but plans changed when they shut down boats so we took bus to MK planning on getting on monorail but they were shutting them down during fireworks so we sat in a back lot as there were so many people on main st. but CM let us out a back gate when it was over with about 50 other people until he got yelled at so right to bus and outa there. I am seeing HS has fireworks for 4th. We are not going to the park but we are staying at blt. Going to go to dinner with family friends that live in our town and are dvc members and plan on going to pool then to bar at top of BLT to watch the fireworks. I am getting panicked as a planner this is throwing a wrench in my plans. :confused3

thanks

Scott

Since it's not the regular fireworks show, it probably did not pull up normally. This happened when I spoke with a WDW call agent as well. The show that night called Celebrate America begins at 9pm.

Thanks so much for information. I was hoping that was the case. I take it you will down there at the same time.

I just found out several of my students will be down there with family the same time I will be there with mine:scared1:

Can't get away from them.:rolleyes1 Actually great kids so would be happy to see them. They are talking pictures with Mickey for yearbook that would be cool. I should not be surprised every year I see someone I know and it is interesting to see the kids away from school some are really different and nervous around parents.. lol

We have several CD's we listen to, to put us in a "cruise" mood. They are: Caribbean Summer, Caribbean Party, and we just purchased Caribbean Nights (haven't listened to that one yet). The first two contain songs you will probably be familiar with, done Caribbean style. All were purchased online from Green Hill Instrumental. Hope this helps!

Good evening everyone! My weekend has started. I do not have to work tomorrow but I will still be busy preparing for our annula BBQ that we are having on Saturday. I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

:welcome: to our thread.

JUST THOUGHT ID GIVE AN UPDATE ON POOL TEMP. HIT 90 TODAY:cool1: I TOOK MY DRINKIE IN ON HAND AND HOSE IN THE OTHER AND FLOATED AROUND POOL WATERING GARDEN:rotfl2:[/SIZE]

Ian - pretty soon that pool is going to be a great big hot tub instead of a pool! :lmao: 90 degree water temp?! WOW! I wanna know what kind of solar cover you have!! (Or is your pool heated?) We're planning on getting a pool in the next couple of years.

Well, it's FRIDAY!!!!!! It's a 3 day weekend!!!!!!! Lot's to get done...gotta take advantage of an extra day off. I think I'll clean out the closets this weekend and get ready for our neighborhood rummage sale in two weeks. Or I may just forget about that and spend the weekend outside. We'll see!

Ian - the pool temperature sounds great! Ours is around 84 right now. And that is where I plan on spending my weekend. Just laying around the pool enjoying myself.

Have a funny story from yesterday. My sister works at our local hospital and I went out to have lunch with her and while I was in line this lady comes up to me and says "were you in Florida a couple weeks ago?" I said "yes I was. Mother's Day Weekend." She says "Were you at EPCOT?" "Yes, I was." "I thought that was you," she says. I'm like what? You saw me? She said yep. How funny. :) I didn't even see her. She said we walked right by them but couldn't tell me exactly where. Small world.

Marsha - lucky you for having the day off today. Enjoy!

Well, have a great day! :flower3:

GOOD MORNING, ANOTHER SUNNY DAY BUT NOT AS HOT. GREAT FOR GARDENING I WONT WANT TO PASS OUT:rotfl2: JUST THOUGHT ID MENTION WE HAVE SOLAR PANELS ON ROOF OF HOUSE. THE WATER GETS PUMPED UP ONTO ROOF AND BACK DOWN INTO POOL. SOLAR BLAKETS ONLY HEAT THE TOP FEW INCHES OF WATER. 3 DAYS AGO OUR POOL WAS AROUND 70 THEN IN 2 DAYS OF SUN IT WENT UP TO 90. COOLS DOWN AT NIGHT A BIT THATS WHAT THE SOLAR BLANKET HELPS IN KEEPING HEAT IN. SOLAR HEAT IS FREE ONCE YOU BUY THE SYSTEM.

Unfortunately, the tickets we have will not allows us in the parks on the 4th (imagine that...). We will be probably go the day after since I will be off work (and hopefully crowds will be a little less thick)

I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and takes the time to reflect on the reason for the 3 day weekend. Remember those that served or are currently serving. Take a moment to reflect on the good in our country and thank those that help protect those freedoms.

A special thank you to Marines Kurt Shea and David Smith that paid the ultimate sacrifice!

God Bless America!

That is too funny! It always amazes me when people run into each other at WDW. I mean, seriously, the size of WDW and the millions of things to do there! Once we ran into someone I knew from work....not once, not twice, but THREE times during the week that we were there. I guess it really is a "small world after all". :lmao:

And, God Bless Marine Kurt Shea's family and Marine David Smith's family. I hope they know that there are so many Americans that appreciate their service to our country and mourn the ultimate sacrifice they paid.
