I know, isn't it great!!!!!!!!

We are getting so excited. Need to go to Wal-mart today to get some more stuff. And we are trying to come up with ideas for foods that travel well and you can eat on the road. Anybody got any ideas?

I don't know if you're pb&j fans, and it's not the greatest, but that "Goober" pb&j that's all in one jar is pretty convenient. One time we went on a road trip and had that, chips, and a container of potato salad that we bought at Sam's Club and when we got hungry, we just stopped somewhere and had a little "picnic". I think we also had granola bars and cheese & bologna because we were NOT going to eat pb&j the whole week! lol

Good Morning!!! DH went to get the paper this AM and in our mail box was a little booklet from the cuise line!!! It had our names on the front and FAQs and such - I know a little thing BUT I was so excited!!!! It just helps me prepare more for our cruise!!!:cool1:

I have been looking at flights and am waiting for SW to open theirs for Sept...

Have any of you used trip insurance? Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am trying to use my time stuck in this house wisely!!!

:banana::banana: We got ours too! I was so excited. DH and I were "fighting" over who got to look at it first! :lmao:

We're also waiting for SW to open their flights for Sept...we got a gift certificate from my mom for Christmas to SW. Too bad, cause I found really good airfare on Air Tran. I've never used trip insurance before, but I think we are going to this time.

Argh me hearties! dvc deernut (Ian) has graciously agreed to arrange our pirate night photo shoot. So, on pirate night, come dressed in your finest pirate attire (or not), and be prepared to walk the plank (in other words take a picture with Cap'n Mickey and your fellow DISers). More details will follow.

THANKS IAN!!! :yay:

I love getting mail from Disney, especially if it is pertaining to my upcoming trip. Ahh, the simple pleasures in life.

Last year we did not purchase trip insurance. This year we will be. The prices offered through Travel Guard (I believe) for DVC members are not that bad. For our 3 staterooms it was alittle over $400. Now, truthfully, I do not know if that is good or bad since we rarely purchase trip insurance but for what it covers it seems good to me. We decided to purchase trip insurance mainly because our parents want it. I always try to think good thoughts but you never know. Perusing these boards makes me realize anything can happen.

I know what you mean...after reading all of the TR's lately where someone has seen a passenger getting airlifted away or when the Magic got stuck at CC....you just NEVER know! Not to mention, our last two cruises, DH got sick and stayed in the room most of the cruise. I felt bad for him and it was kind of a wasted trip because of that.

Have a great Sunday, everyone! I can't believe we're only 28 weeks away!!

Thanks Ian for organizing the photo - although we have to go pirate gear hunting!! I'm not so familiar with that attire since I have Snow White Jr and Ariel Jr at home;)!!! I guess that will be a new search!!

We have a credit with Airtran - our flights for April were reduced and we got a $360 credit. I am hoping to use it one way and SW the other. The earliest flight out of PIT on the 12th for Airtran is 11:20am arriving at MCO at 1:30pm I wanted to get to the ship earlier but hate to waste a credit and the flights home would either be 8:30am or 8:30pm!!!! NUTS!!!! DDwould have to return to school the next day so the 830p is out - oh the planning....it makes me crazy!!!

Thanks Marsha you are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am wondering if someone had the points & cash information for this years member cruise. I am trying to get a slight basis for what it might be like next year, this will be our second year not being on one and we'd really like to be on the new ship next year.

Also are Mark and Mary not on the member cruise this year??

I do not have the points & cash info for this years members cruise. Hopefully, someone else might have it. Unfortunately, Mark & Mary are not on this cruise.

We are all the way in the back. DH has DS on his shoulders. When looking at the picture we are two or three rows diagonally to the right in front of the man bolding both arms up in the air. Hopefully that makes sense. You are probably better able to see us in the original photo.

One of the "freebies" we got on the very first member cruise in 2003 was a very nice t-shirt. Everyone was told to wear that t-shirt for the member picture on CC. I wish they would do that again, it was neat....all the adults in the picture had their blue t-shirts on and all the kids had their yellow t-shirts on...it was just really neat!

Ian - we won't throw you overboard, we'll just make you hang out with Donald on the back of the ship. Hopefully Huey won't really cut the rope. :lmao:

Thanks for the food ideas. We pretty much always take ham and cheese sandwiches, individual bags of chips, chex mix, juices/water/pop some sweets of some kind and cheese and crackers. We went to Sams' today and got the chips, some muffins, chex mix, rice krispie bars and some wine and water.

This year we are going to take our panini maker and all the fixings to make panini's at night when we get to our hotel. So during the day cold sandwiches and at night hot ones. :thumbsup2

Sad to say that Mary & Mark won't be along on this trip. I believe they are cruising with friends for a wedding this summer and couldn't do both trips. I know they will be missed. Mary is such a great and funny person. We just loved meeting her last year.

We do not usually buy trip insurance. Why? I don't know, we just never do.

And we received our letter from DCL in the mail yesterday too! :cheer2: It is getting closer!!!!!!!

T-shirts would be cool. I love t-shirts.

I think I have it laying around the house somewhere, if I find it I will scan it and post it. :cool1:

dvc deernut - congrats on the hockey win - as Penguins fans we were cheering on the USA but couldn't have asked for a better back up plan - awesome game and Crosby is AMAZING!!!

We have never bought trip insurance but after reading about the cruisers who got stuck for a day - I thought maybe we should do it.....:confused3!!!!

We have an Owner's Locker and have our basics in there for WDW trips - has anyone ever taken theirs on a cruise?? Then transferred to a WDW resort with it?? Does it work OK!?!?

We were wondering the same thing about our Owners Locker. If we get the chance while we are down there on the 16th, we are going to try to make it over to the OL wine get together at EPCOT and I was going to ask. Unless somebody already knows the answer. Can't wait!

Chris - let me know what you find out or if anyone else has the answers - enlighten us both!!!

The 16th:banana::banana: to you !!!! I am excited about our April 11th departure I can't imagine how thrilled you are!!!

Bitting my tongue on the hockey post because I want to be able to continue to post on here. :rolleyes1:mad: I do not like the overtime rules as both teams looked lost and the game became boring! My only hope is the next time crosby comes to DC that Ovechkin knocks him out!

Have a great week.

Good Afternoon! I hope everyone is having a WONDERful day and a blessed and MAGICal week.

I was going to wait until it was official, but I can't keep quiet anymore!! I went on an interview at The Disney Store today!

I am a FREQUENT shopper in the store and two of the employees live in the same city as I do, so when I stopped in there the other day the one employee (who's kids go to the same school as my kids go), told me they have an opening for a part time position. So I not so calmly told her that I wanted it! :rotfl: I got called in for an interview and it sounds like they can't officially hire me until the background check comes in. She never said the words "you're hired", but the rest of the conversation made it seem like it was just the technicality of waiting for the background check.

I'm really excited, except I haven't had to work a second job in over 15 years and I'm kind of scared to give up my "free" time. But, it's THE DISNEY STORE! And we're spending $400 a month for therapy for my daughter now, so I NEED the extra income!

So, how was YOUR Monday? :goodvibes

WOO HOO!!! Congratulations ...unofficially:thumbsup2

My Monday was a tad bit frantic. We checked the weather for Disney this weekend and it looks like it will be cold (for us) so DH asked me pick up some leather gloves for both of us. Well wouldn't you know it there is NOT one store that still has gloves down here :headache: I found some online and am hoping they arrive before we leave Friday morning. Other than that it was a great Monday because now we are down to 4 more "sleeps" until Disney :cool1:

Terrie :)

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay: I am so jealous!! Our closest store is over an hour drive. Beware you may not leave with much of a paycheck - at least I wouldn't!!!!

Monday- spent almost an hour attempting to shovel the driveway some more - so tired of snow - but we went out to dinner and that was nice considering we haven't really been anywhere because of the snow!!!
