I have been reading the messages for the past 2 days and I must say I cannot wait to meet all of you. This will be my first member cruise and I am looking forward to it. I hope it is not too late to join the Fish Exchange. I sent my information last night. I will be traveling with my DD who is 7, mom, dad & brother. We are all looking forward to setting sail in September. Reading your reports, make me look forward to the cruise even more. I hope I can become a new member of your wonderful Dis Family.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I can not wait for 9/12/10. I am glad that I have others to share my joy with. I have a good friend at work that is a Huge Disney Fan like me, so she is the only one I can talk to besides family. Just think, we are already at the end of January, so that means September will be here before we know it.

Good Morning all!!!

Things have been busy here - the girls had a stomach flu bug -

Our family trip is about 10 weeks away and the chaos begins.....why do I even try to plan. Airtran changed our return flight and a change in time would not be a problem except now it is a layover in ATL!!! Our direct options were 8:30AM or 8:30PM. DSis(31) her fam and my mom opted for 8:30AM. Our fam of 4 opted for 8:30p. The rest of the crew stuck with the layover. DDad (who has a brain injury) was our concern - the 8:30a flight is too early and 8:30p would mean the day out which we cannot guarentee he could handle - his status changes day by day. AIRTRAN!!!!! When will Southwest join the luggage check -in??

I'm done ranting - thanks for letting me vent!!!

Oh, I am sorry to hear the girls have tummy isssues and are feeling Hope they are better soon. I hate when the airlines change plans It happened to DMIL flight not too long ago and they didn't even notify us! Almost wound up with an 8 hour layover!

Sorry to post this as this is not Disney stuff but just found out some really scary news and find this group easy to talk to and know that we love the freedom we have in this country. All of us from time to time underappreciate the right to go to places like WDW.

Just found out one of may favorite students in the last few years was injured and possibly killed in the latest suicide bombing in Afganistan. Getting sketchy news and in all honesty it is freaking me out a little. This young man wanted one thing upon graduation and that was to join the Marines and defend our county.

Hi and welcome to the family!!!! This is our first member cruise and first Disney cruise. I can't wait either! I am looking forward to the FE and it has been fun getting to know everyone so far. Marsha is right though, the more we post and get know one another the more fun we can have.

On another note. DH and I decided to go to F&G festival this year during the D23 anniversary event. We discovered that we had already borrowed all of our 2010 points (Sept. use year) I called my guide right after realizing this and casually inquired about adding on and incentives Ok there was nothing casual about it... I was desperate and now imagine that I think I have an inkling of what a "junkie" feels like when needing a "fix" Then, I called DH who was totally off guard and qucikly explained our lack of points, the incentive I was offered and how nice it would be to own at AKL to get the 11 month booking advantage for a romantic stay in a concierge room. This came out at the speed of a disclaimer from a lawyer in a car commercial and with the tempo of one who moonlights as an auctioneer He said, ok which in retrospect could have been acknowledgement of what I said and not necessarily agreement I took it for the latter, said great, hung up and called my guide back. We have officially succumbed to addonitis and are proud new owners of AKV

Well Good Morning Everyone!

Got back from WDW on Monday afternoon to a blizzard here in Iowa. It was a rough ride home from the airport but we made it.

WDW was a great time. Great weather, great room, great fun! Can't wait for March to be back again!

Terrie - Congrats on the addonitis at AKV!

Scott - so sorry to hear the sad news. God Bless him. We can't say thank you enough to our soldiers.

Terrie, you have me at working cracking up. Nice sales job. I love my home at AKV, my DD loves seeing the animals from the room. But hey she also likes the Treehouse Villas, but I am not sure if my DD or DM likes them more. I love the view from Baylake Towers, it seems like you can just reach out and touch the castle.

Scott, sorry to hear about your student. I pray all the time for our soldiers and their families.

Chris, what a way to be welcomed back home. I love our Florida weather, except those 2 weeks we were dealing with temperatures in the 30s.

To update my earlier posts it is with a heavy heart that I confirm my previous information on the the death of SGT. David Smith in the suicide bombing in afghanistan. Thanks to all that have kept him and his family in their thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear that Scott. I will keep his family in my good thoughts and prayers and offer my deepest sympathies on their loss as well as my gratitude for the bravery and sacrifice made on behalf of our contry.

Wow! I cannot believe the horror stories I hear about airline travel. I haven't flown in quite a while. I pray that our flight is a smooth when we fly to visit DH's mother.

Hi all!!! The snow storm that we were supposed to get here moved further south than expected - sorry Marsha!!! It is bitter cold here yesterday it made it up to about 12 degrees and today is 17!!!!

Hello out there! Is anyone out there? What's keeping everyone so quiet? I hope all is well. Here, we have been getting so much snow, at least more than usual. We had 12 inches this past weekend and are expecting more tomorrow night and possibly more Friday night. Sheesh. I am really over the snow now. I am wishing for warm weather & sun. Alright, I am going to stop procrastinating and get to work.

Hi Marsha!! I'm here! lol I haven't been able to get online as much lately because we're down to a laptop since the desktop PC is still not fixed. So there are four of us in the house sharing one computer. So, my computer time has been very limited lately! I'm sorry you have soooo much snow!!! And then to top it off, it's too cold to even go sledding in it! Hopefully Mother Nature will give you a break soon.
