Howdy everyone. Seems like forever since I posted. I have been busy with the girls' schedules since we got back from Florida.

The weather is still pretty bad here. Got more snow again today. Not much, but enough to make the roads slick.

Our youngest DD has been busy with basketball. She is in 8th grade and they have had a lot of their games cancelled due to weather. This week she has games every night except Wednesday, trying to make up some of the ones that have been cancelled. Then her last game is next Monday. And our oldest DD has been busy with Jazz Band and Show Choir. Practices every morning and night. But it paid off for them. This last weekend they went to a competition where they get rated and they got a "I" rating which is the best they could receive in both Jazz Band and Show Choir. They were happy. And, she even has a solo part in the Show Choir. That makes me happy. :yay:

Take care.

Happy Groundhog Day, well the little animal has spoken and they say we will have 6 more weeks of Winter.

Yes Go Colts!!!

What? Page TWO???? How did we end up on page TWO????

I really have nothing new to say. Just don't like the fact that we ended up on page two.

Hope everyone's having a great week -

I need a Disney vacation -- and soon!!!! How many weeks til we sail? I can't wait that long.....!!!!

(Sorry, just a little winter in Wisconsin cabin fever....!)

Do not feel bad, I need a Disney Vacation as well. I think I may have to make a run to Disney before the cruise.

sitting here during my planning period shhhhhh don't tell anyone:rolleyes1 5inches of snow last night and 2 hour delay. In ten years with this system I can never remember being in school after that much snow but we are here. I think they are worried about big snow this weekend and next week. Jet streams look like they are positioned for a big one here on the east coast. I have heard from 18-40 inches of snow through central md. There goes presidents day and part of my spring break as they will make us come to school then instead of end of the year. That is good because my butt will be in florida June 29th no matter what! Have to get gas for snowblower tonight it is going to get a workout this weekend. Kicking myself for getting rid of my big snow blower and going smaller, but I never used in the past 5 years. Will just have to clear it several times instead of once I guess.

Come on June!!!! 29-4th at Beach club 4th-8th BLT.

Hello to Mousefan64,,, Howdy neighbor!!! GO COLTS!!!!
I hear we are going to get an ice storm just before we get somewhere in the range of 4 to 8 inches of snow. I haven't actually heard it myself, but had to listen to the ladies in the office talk about it all day today. Unless there has been a change. Has anyone out there already gotten their airline tickets? Which airline , if so? I'm thinking that I will look at Southwest again. It was very good with the advanced ressie of getting a seat and also two free bags.

Yes, we have gotten our airline tickets. We are flying United. Southwest does not fly out of the Des Moines airport, which is a bummer. We have Allegiant - which does a direct flight and that is so nice - but they do not fly from September-October to Orlando from here, which is an even bigger bummer. But we felt we got a pretty good deal with United. We will be flying in late on Friday Sept 10th and on Saturday we are planning on going down to the Vero Beach resort. We have friends who live like five minutes from there so we are hoping to see them while down there. Then on Sunday morning we will drive back up to the port to get on the cruise. We can't wait!

Hi all - I have had some issues posting - typed two only to be thrown off in the last few days - so I waited patiently :lmao:!!! Hoping this one goes through!! We are preparing for our April trip with my fam - it will hopefully be enough to hold us over until the cruise!!! Snow forecast here as well - we shall see.....

Have a great day!!!

We are coming in friday the 10th and staying ?. Hope to have that finalized this weekend. Thoughts are BLT magic kingdom view but I don't believe that bus picks up there or contemporary for the cruise. I wonder if they will let me set up pick up at wilderness lodge. Jump on boat from contemporary to wilderness lodge.:confused3

Hi Dan, glad to have you as a neighbor.

yeah, got our plane tickets today. Flying out of Moline, IL on Sept. 10, staying at BLT before the cruise. Very excited, will be our 3rd cruise and 1st member cruise.
:cheer2:

Good Morning!

Another snowy start to the day here. Can you believe we are over 50 consecutive days with over 5 inches of snow on the ground? It is definitely a record breaking year here!

We are so looking forward to our March trip to WDW. We have made all of our ADR's and are now just waiting for the time to come to leave. We already have a box in the living room that we are putting stuff in that we are going to take and leave in our Owner's Locker. Which is just the greatest. We left a lot of stuff in it when we left and now have more stuff to put in it after this trip.

Anybody have big plans for the weekend? Our youngest DD has a basketball tournament on Saturday and our oldest wants to go Prom Dress shopping on Sunday. No rest for the wicked here.

Well, have a great day! :flower3:

Closed schools here in frederick md 3.5 hours early today. I wish I could figure out how to post a pic here. Took a pic of bread shelves at local grocery store. One loaf of bread it was funny. TV station ran a story on the local walmart. Every checkout lane was staffed and average wait time was 2 hours to checkout. Crazy crazy crazy. When I was in grad school in Iowa it was nice they let it snow then plowed or you drove on the snow. Not here they plow, it gets icy then snows then plow then....... They wonder why they don't have anymore money for snow removal. Let it snow then take care of it. updated 24-30 inches expected here then additonal 10 on Wed. Looks like a boys weekend as my wife will be stuck at the hospital in Baltimore all weekend. She packed the car with suitcase, pillows and sleeping bag. Had to check to make sure she left season pass tickets to WDW, had my suspicions she was getting on a plane to head to florida lol. Everyone in the path of the storm stay safe and warm. Looks like I will be out of school all next week so honey do list is on the fridge. :smickey:

I hope everyone does well with the snowy weather. The Super Bowl Parties here are crazy. Can’t wait till the big game, to see the Colts kick butt! My daughter was watching Full House (I have to laugh, because I remember watching the show when I was a kid) and it would be the episode when they go to Disney World, so now my DD wants to take a trip to Disney. If things go well I may surprise her and take her for Memorial Weekend.

For the cruise we are going to leave around 8am on Sunday morning and drive up. We haven’t decided if we are going to head over to Disney after the cruise, but we did take the entire week off, just in case we decide to head over Thursday and stay till Sunday. The drive for us is about 3 ½ hours, which will be great for meeting up with everyone.

The snow started here about 2pm and is steadily falling - most of our schools dismissed early. Just hoping roads stay OK until DH gets home from work.

We will be flying our Sunday AM from PIT - DHs vacations run sun - sat of course he works Sat Sept 11 sooo............. our plan is to spend the rest of the week at WDW - haven't decided where trying to figure out pts - after this family trip in Apr we dipped into 2011 pts already so we my stay in a studio to conserve - only ever been in 1 or 2 BDR - but thinking after being in a stateroom a studio may not be bad??? What do you all think!!! We've never been on a cruise either!!!

Stay warm and safe!!!

Dopeygirl76,

You will do fine in the stateroom. Honestly, you do not spend a lot of time in your stateroom. You may go back for breaks, but you will be right out again. I took a cruise when my DD was 2 and she loved it. I was worried how she would react, but she had a blast and the good thing was she made the hallways her playground. I would sit in the hall with her and watch her just walk around. Also just letting her go out and walk around deck was a blast for her. We did our first Disney cruise for her 5th b-day and she loved the children’s’ program. The attention the staff gives the kids is wonderful. The little people have a good time as well. You all will do fine and one thing I can say is Disney cabins are larger than other cruise lines. We didn’t feel cramped in our cabin.

Hello All! Well, it started snowing here I do not know when. All I know is that when I came out of my meeting around 11:30 a.m. it was snowing. We will be under a blizzard warning from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. I went to the store today and it was a mad house. Bread was gone and milk was in limited supply. It was crazy. Wishing for the :beach:.

Here are some magnets that I requested Milliepie on the creative DISigns board to do for the cruise.
