Ok, you guys are all making me question whether or not I want to move out of Florida one day! I can't wait to move somewhere that actually has changes of seasons and snow in winter. Granted, we're thinking TN down the line and I don't think they get blizzards or really heavy snows like some states regularly do.

On a happy note my waitlist for AKV SV studio came in today for our last night during F&G  Which brings me to a topic I'd like to vent on...Is anyone else here a member of D23? DH and I are and we decided to go to F&G this year the same weekend that D23 was having their First Anniversary event at WDW. Tickets went on sale yesterday and are already sold out (we got ours). Here's where I want to vent. I was surprised and irritated that there was only one option with regards to purchasing tickets and it includes park admission in the cost. I would think a good number of D23 members are probably also AP holders as well and would not need that option. I feel like they are taking advantage of the very group that supports their existence. I mean, even for the Give A Day Get A Day there was an option for AP holders with discounting their renewal or offering a special FP card.

Ok done venting.

Terrie :)

Here are some magnets that I requested Milliepie on the creative DISigns board to do for the cruise.

Good Morning All!!! The snow is still falling here we have more than we had in December so I am anxious to go out and measure. This is a very heavy snow and the trees around our house are bent over touching the ground. It is beautiful but my mom who lives about a mile away lost power. Luckily they have a fireplace so they did not freeze!!!

Everyone stay warm and safe and for those of you not in the blizzard zone....have fun going anywhere you can - because we are in for quite a while!!!

The snow started here about 2pm and is steadily falling - most of our schools dismissed early. Just hoping roads stay OK until DH gets home from work.

We will be flying our Sunday AM from PIT - DHs vacations run sun - sat of course he works Sat Sept 11 sooo............. our plan is to spend the rest of the week at WDW - haven't decided where trying to figure out pts - after this family trip in Apr we dipped into 2011 pts already so we my stay in a studio to conserve - only ever been in 1 or 2 BDR - but thinking after being in a stateroom a studio may not be bad??? What do you all think!!! We've never been on a cruise either!!!

Stay warm and safe!!!

Well, we have always gotten a 2 or 1 bedroom when going to WDW and in January me and DH thought we would try a studio, to save on points. We stayed in it one night. The very next morning we went to see if we could upgrade to a one bedroom. And it was just the two of us. We have decided a studio just isn't for us when we go down to WDW. We love to have the full kitchen and the washer/dryer. I know I am on vacation but I usually do two loads of wash a day. That way we don't have to pack so many clothes.

And after the cruise we need the room to spread out from each other. We have a 2 bedroom at BLT waiting for us this time! :woohoo: Can't wait for that one!

Everybody on the East - Stay Safe! Sounds like you are getting a whopper of a storm.

We are getting a whopper of a storm. Last night snow turned to sleet which lessened the snow total. But, now it is snowing again. Of course, the city has not plowed our neighborhood and I do not expect them to until the snow stops falling. So, we will not be going anywhere today. DS wants to venture out into the snow. We will probably do that a little later today or tomorrow.

Oh man would i love to be in WDW right now. Just finished 4th driveway clean up but have 3 by 5 foot high wall of snow and ice at the bottom of the driveway. Waiting for them to come through and do my street before I try to clear that. Heavy heavy snow. had to get up on roof of my porch and shovel about 4 feet of drifted snow. Snowing pretty heavy again here in central md so will have to do my driveway again and again. I usually do neighbors but my snow blower can't handle the close to 30 inches we have here and with the weight it is not worth killing the snowblower. Wife is safe in Baltimore and she only had a few people call out from the hospital so she will be busy but thankfully she can stay at hospital. She thinks she is coming home tomorrow night:rotfl2: No way. I told her I would see her Tuesday morning. This is her long weekend so might as well just stay and not chance it. Hope everyone involved with the storm stays safe. Remember be carefull shoveling. One of the highest incidents of heart attacks occur while shoveling snow so be carefull!

Awesome magnets!

Hi all

We arrived home on Monday from our WDW/Disney cruise on Monday. We had a great time and as of right now....25 inches of snow:eek: and high winds :scared1:here....I want to go back.

I see Michael already posted a photo of the new water slide at Castaway Cay.

We stayed for one night at the BLT studio with a Bay Lake view. We were on the 10th floor. We got lucky enough to not only have the Bay Lake view but to have a Magic Kingdom view. Watched the fireworks that night...it was wonderful. No matter where you stay at the BLT you can't get a bad view.

Loved the Magic. This was our second time doing the Western (Key West, Cozumel, Cayman Islands and Castaway Cay). Our vacation went by way too fast. We had the best time ever!!!!

After the cruise we went back to the BLT for a couple of days. We had a 1 bedroom with the Bay Lake view and once again we got a side view of the Magic Kingdom. We were on the 12th floor...wow...what a view!!!!

Now we're counting down for our next cruise....SSMC 2010 :dance3::yay::thumbsup2. Can't wait.

As soon as I get my photos together, I will post some more.

Marsha...I just love the magnets. Milliepie does a great job doesn't she. :):):)

Have a good evening.

I forgot to add.... Brent was the cruise director....he is fantastic. He is now my #1 favorite cruise director...#2 is Rachel and #3 Christian!!!!

Welcome Back Monica & Michael! I have been wondering about you.

Glad to hear you had a great cruise. We have had Brent 4 times as a CD and we think he is awesome. I love his accent. Plus, he is prety easy on the eyes. :rolleyes1

I do so hope that you post more photos. Would love to see any from BLT.

Too bad you came home to such crappy weather. I know when we came home from being down there in January we came back in a Blizzard! We should never have drove home in the dark but we did and it was one of the scariest rides of my life. Took two hours to get home from the airport when it normally takes about 50 minutes. Good thing we have a 4-wheel drive pick up.

But, the couple days we were down there did us good. We got some heat, some sun, some time away, so all was good. Now we can't wait until the next time we go, which is in March.

GOOD MORNING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,
BOYS AND GIRLS!
WE SET SAIL IN 31 WEEKS! THAT IS 216 DAYS!
:banana::banana::banana:

Welcome back Monika & Michael! I can't wait to see the pictures. Michael, thank you for posting the picture of Castaway Cay. I am imagining myself right there now. In my reality, all I am seeing is snow, deep snow. Our neighborhood still has not been plowed. But, that is okay because we did not have any plans on going anywhere today.

I'm right there dreaming with you Marsha!!

We did venture out today - only about a mile from home for a bday party for my cousin's daughter. It is sooo beautiful but I would not go very far - there is really nowhere for all the snow to go so even the main roads have huge banks of snow!!!!

All of our schools closed for tomorrow already - as PA is still in a state of emergency. And my office is closed!!! DH has to go to work but not until 3:30pm.

Hi Everyone,

You all stay safe in the snow. I can not wait to take a trip to Disney. BLT, is a very nice hotel. I can not wait to stay their again. Marsha I love the magnets designs. Terri, like you I thought about leaving South Florida, and then I hear about the snow and I am like I will watch the seasons change on TV. Is everyone ready for the Big Game?

Thanks Marsha ................ This is my wish ....... To be sitting next to Monika on Deck 4 .....................

Watching the big game!!! Steelers are out so we are cheering on the Saints - very feel goody!!

Our whole area is shut down tomorrow - it is really crazy to go on to see the closings and see 600!!!!

Can I sit there too? Please? :worship:

We are expecting another 6-9 inches. My god, I am so sick of snow. Over 50 days with over 5 inches of snow on the ground is just a little excessive. Don't ya think? :confused3 I don't remember when we have had this much snow. It can stop any day.

Ahhh more snow on the way here in central md. No school tomorrow and I would bet Tuesday as well. Then more snow so would not be surprised that we are out the rest of the week. Threw a pillow at the tv because the weatherman just said something about a Sunday storm. AHHHHHHHHH!

And to top off the weekend the colts lose. I did find some cool Disney Cruise line videos on youtube. My wife thinks I am nuts she called from the hospital tonight and heard mickey on the computer and she just started laughing. My neighbor and good friend is a DVC member as well and we have decided we are going to retire to WDW and drive the boats between the resorts. I have looked several times into the espn wide world of sports complex but they have a head athletic trainer and then hire graduate assistants or interns to cover the rest of the athletic training responsibilities. That would be a cool but busy job. Ok time for bed is it Sept yet lol:woohoo:
