09/12/10 - DVCers Take Over the Wonder (S.S. Member Cruise 2010) - Thread #1

Big storm here in central md. I have 18-20 inches. Cleaned driveway and sidewalks 4 times yesterday and then couple inches again today. I think the plow guys have fun waiting until everything is clean then putting that 3 foot high barrier in front of the driveways. lol They just cancelled school. Good that I can wrap presents tomorrow. Kids have been outside playing. My puppy loves the snow and have trouble getting him in so even though a lot of snow a good time for everyone.

John! I hope you had a better b-day than my hubby! I don't think he's moved from the couch all day...he got sick during the night and still isn't feeling well today. I hope he feels better before all the craziness of Christmas starts!! I told him he was wished a Happy Birthday on our cruise thread and he said to say thank you. I love the baby Mickey...we used the baby Mickey theme AND the Winnie The Pooh theme both in my son's nursery when he was first born, so that baby Mickey is perfect!

Happy belated Birthdays John and Junior!!!! I hope Junior is feeling better.

It's cold here in FL I got to wear long sleeves yesterday I drove 11 hours up to GA (transporting dogs), spent the night, turned right around and drove back home the next moring. Twenty two hours of driving is murder on my back! Highlight of my weekend was seeing snow flurries, just a few, when I left GA on Sunday morning. I am happy to be home, the dogs I was dog sitting for are groomed and now back at their home Christmas shopping is complete, presents are wrapped and now I have the extra money I needed to buy those cute Dooney & Burke Disney purses when we go to WDW next week

Well we survived our blizzard it is actually really pretty outside and the thought of a white Christmas is GREAT!!!

DH had to work on his Bday so he was bummed but we had the whole fam over for dinner and to watch the Steelers so it was fun - esp because they won!!!

I'm getting ready for work and as I'm doing that my DDad calls. His main artery is blocked on the right side of his heart and the docs think they need to do a cardiac cath tomorrow. He's upset because of christmas of course and now I'm losing my mind.............what else is new. You know how it goes when it rains....or should I say SNOWS!!!!!

Well I'm off - at least the wrapping is done - and I have everything for Christmas dinner - so I will work on getting prepared tonight!!!

The snow stopped here late last night - it is beautiful - the girls and I played outside and had a blast!!!

The snow plow driver did the same thing to us. Every time we shoveled the plow would come along and block our driveway.

Merry Christmas Eve to all!!! DDad is doing OK - not listening so well - but OK!!! They were unable to operate because he is already on a blood thinner for previous heart surgery so he has basically been ordered to bed rest until they can operate - Jan 4. Thank you all for the prayers!! I hope everyone has a blessed holiday!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their day!! The girls stayed in their beds until 6:30a!!!! So we were thrilled!! Santa brought us a Wii with Toy Story!!! DH & I are so excited!! Oh and so are the girls !!!

Hello All!

I know this is overdue but I wanted to wish everyone a

Merry Christmas & Seasons Greetings!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. We had a good time on this end. DS was so excited! It took him all of yesterday and the better part of this morning to finally realize what all he had under the tree. The only thing he was interested in was his Thomas the Train set. Once he saw that, the rest of his gifts took a backseat.

It was also good spending time with my parents. I am glad they were able to come down. A fun time was deifinitely had by all.

I did go get a few1/2 price decorations for next year yesterday but didn't find too much exciting.

That's great to hear that your DDad is doing ok. Why are men so stubborn when it comes to doctors orders? Don't they know it's for their own good?!

All I got 1/2 price was wrapping paper for next year. That's ok....I've got enough decorations and we spent about $100 last year the day after Christmas on decorations. So, we're good! Oh yeah, and I picked up a few ornaments from the Hallmark store at half price, too.

Glad to hear that so many had great Christmases. We did too! In fact, it was one of the best ones we have ever had. Don't know why, but it was.

We have been shopping that last two days because the girls got money for Christmas and wanted to go spend it. They got a lot of cute things. I got some new pants for work. As for Christmas stuff, just wrapping paper. That is all I get after Christmas because of the price. I am pretty happy with all of the decorations we have right now and usually can't find anything I can't live with out. However, we do want to go to the Christmas store at Disney to get stockings for everyone. We just love those. And I know that they will never be on sale when we go to buy them. But, that is the way it goes.

Good morning all!!!!

Well I have been VERY ill!!!! Don't know what I have - but I am miserable - it started Sat night and I have basically slept the days away. Luckily DH is on afternoon this week so I only have to pull it together for a few hours in the evening to take care of the girls!!!

We got more snow here too!!!
