I think we will get along just fine. We have sat many a time propped up against a garbage can to watch a parade!

And DH just pulled a brand new, shiny red DVC hat out of the closet to wear (he also has blue one). So look for a guy with a mustache, bright red DVC hat, and three ladies and that will probably be us!

Happy Belated Birthday, Eric! I wasn't home all day yesterday so I never got to get on the DISboards! My dad had his fundraiser for his campaign last night and he had an excellent turnout! We were all worried because it was on a weeknight and we thought a lot of people wouldn't come because they're busy during the week, but the place was packed!!!

Yep, I'm still here. I'm so excited to meet up on Monday. Right now I believe I will have on a red shirt that day too. It is actually the red shirt from last year's F&W Festival. (I'm sad that I know what I will be wearing that day, huh? )

And I hear ya about talking about Disney. I am starting to see my coworkers eyes glass over when I bring it up any more. But I love it so I don't care.

You are leaving this afternoon right? Have a safe trip down. And yes, we will definitely drive safe. Just hope that the weather will be good for the drive down and back. I know when we went to Texas in November, we drove through so much fog. And it has been terribly foggy here that last couple of days. So I hope it gets it out of its system soon!


Marsha - We could make room for ya! The only thing is, we are not driving out your way, sorry . But September will be here before we know it. So hang in there.

i have 24 more days till i see the mouse . i want to start packing now but then i will have nothing to do later. my sons friend we are taking has never been to disney so he is so happy it is almost here he will turn 17 when we are there.

Hi everyone we just arrived at okw our room is on first floor at pennisular overlooking the fountain at the bridge. We got here at 830 our groceries were waiting for us. Everyone is at the main pool im stuck here waiting for maintence to fix the bed. We arrived here and the one bed was broken in the spare bedroom . They were going to move us but i said no way we are all settled in with groceries etc. Sooooooooo im waiting for someone to come and look at bed. My sons fiancees wheel chair the front wheel broke so we have had to borrow one at okw. I hope this isnt a sign of things to come. At least its warm this week but is supposed to cool back down next week.

I think EVERY vacation has a few mishaps. There's always SOMETHING that goes wrong...hopefully the broken bed and the broken wheel on the wheelchair are the only "somethings" that go wrong! I hope the rest of your vacation is full of fun!

You could do what I do...pack and then re-pack because I forgot what I packed a month earlier! Your son's friend is so lucky, how will he ever top his 17th b-day, though?

That's the best way to enjoy WDW....I tried doing all the planning once and it just didn't work out, so we just "went with the flow" and had fun. There's just too much to be done at WDW to plan every last minute, it cracks me up sometimes at how people have the spreadsheets of what they're going to do every day at WDW. But, I understand, too....those people probably feel like they're out of control of things if they don't plan. (If anyone on here is a planner like that, please don't take offense....there are planners and there are non-planners and I am a non-planner! lol!!)

We leave in 1 month for OKW and I am so excited I can't wait to be in my favorite place!!

Oh, no. That is too bad. Hopefully they got it fixed quickly for you so you could go enjoy the pool. Hope things get better for you. I know Monday will be a great day cuz you will be meeting us! Just please talk to the mouse about the weather so it will be warmer next week when we are there.

One Month! It will go by fast.



Well, as Terrie said, we only have two more sleeps before we leave! And I just haven't been sleeping well. Waking up way to early. Just excited I guess.

Then, get this, I was called to Jury Duty in my county starting in January and going through March. There has been nothing all this time until, when, today! So I have to go see if I get picked for a jury this morning. But I have already gotten an excuse for next week since we will be out of town. They said usually a trial that starts on a Thursday is only a one day thing but. . . . . . . .with my luck it will go on for days. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't get picked for the jury!

I have never stayed at SSR. We will be staying there two nights before the cruise. I enjoy taking it slow (sometimes) but I must admit I am a planner. We took it nice and slow after last year's cruise and had a great time.

That's the best way to enjoy WDW....I tried doing all the planning once and it just didn't work out, so we just "went with the flow" and had fun. There's just too much to be done at WDW to plan every last minute, it cracks me up sometimes at how people have the spreadsheets of what they're going to do every day at WDW. But, I understand, too....those people probably feel like they're out of control of things if they don't plan. I am definitely not a planner like the one you described but I have those tendencies. I have to have some type of plan. I learned froom my Feb. '09 trip, however, that not everybody will go along with the plan. Hence my trip report title "Plans are made to be broken ..." I still cringe when my plans are broken though. But, what can I do.

HIIIIIIIIIII< WE JUST SPENT FIRST FULL DAY HERE. TOOK EVERYONE TO MK. WEATHER WAS WET. TORNADO WARNINGS TO THE NORTH BUT NOT AT DISNEY, BUT IT RAINED OFF AND ON ALL DAY. THEY CANCELLED THE SPECTROMAGIC PARADE 10 MIN BEFORE IT STARTED. WE WILL GO BACK TOMORROW AT 8pm. WE ARE UPPOSED TO GET 1 to 2 INCHES OF RAIN. THE GOOD THING ABOUT THE RAIN WE WALKED RIGHT ON MOST OF THE ATTRCTIONS. EXCEPT SPACE MOUNTAIN BROKE DOWN. THE LINES FOR THE CHARACTER SIGNINGS WERE SHORTER. WELL IM GOING TO WALK TO HH AND MAYBE RIDE BOAT TO DTD.

Ok, here is my Fish Extender! This is the very first one I have ever made. I used a sew-free pattern because I don't own a sewing machine. It's got some flaws, but for a first try I think it turned out ok.

I have one from our last cruise that my sister made for us, but it has two additional pockets on it for the kids and since they're not sailing with us this time I had to make a new one.

I'm almost done with all of my door magnets and getting everything together for the gifts for the FEE until closer to the cruise.


Marsha - I'll have to check out both of your trip reports. Maybe I'll read them this weekend (it's supposed to rain all weekend so hopefully I'll have some free time if we don't go walking for my dad!)

Ian - Sorry to hear about all the rain! Sounds like you're making the best of it. I love just hanging out by the HH at OKW...it's a really relaxing spot. I hope the rain doesn't cause another cancellation of the parade tomorrow night!

Your FE looks great! I am impressed. I do not own a sewing machine either. I do not think I would have been able to do a no-sew one though. I am FAR from crafty. I am glad I was able to get one off of Ebay.

Good Morning All! Is it morning already? It seems like I just went to bed three hours ago. Oh wait! I did. DS did not have a good night. I heard him stirring last night before I went to bed and then heard him call "Mommy". You know the Mommy where you know something is wrong. I went to his room and found him standing up covered in chunks of what he ate for dinner. I apologize in advance for being gross early this morning but it was everywhere - on his bed, pajamas, blankets, and floor. Let the clean up begin. DH handled the bedroom by shampooing the carpet. I had to strip the bed and give DS a bath. We slept in the guess room. Where he kept me up most of the night. He begged for something to drink because he was so thirsty. Gave him some pedialyte and he threw that up. Another clean up but that was in the bathroom. Then hours later he asked for water. Gave him a little bit at a time. He seemed okay with it until he laid his head on my pillow and then proceeded to spew. He did not want to go back to sleep. he told me he did not want to throw up anymore and that he was a big boy. I felt so bad for my LO. I rocked him for a long time and then laid him in bed. I found him laying on the floor sleeping this morning. Now he is in the bed with his daddy. I am out getting my car taken care of it. I just called his daycare and told the secretary that DS would be out sick today. She said let me guess he has a stomach virus. She told me it is going around. Don't you just love how germs spred throughout daycare. Sorry to rant... I am so tired.
