09/12/10 - DVCers Take Over the Wonder (S.S. Member Cruise 2010) - Thread #1

OMG, I'm so excited. I just have to share with you guys.

Our High School goes on an Orlando trip every four years. That way every class gets to go, but only once. Next year is our turn and both girls will be going. Becca as a Senior and Brooke as a Freshmen. Well, we just got the itinerary and stuff and I believe that the way it looks they will actually be performing at DISNEY!!!!! The Marching Band down MAIN STREET USA and the Show Choir at DTD.

Now, I'm not for definite sure, but that is the way it looks by the itinerary. It still says pending, but. . . . what else can we assume with the times and where they are going to be.

And if you have been to DTD lately, they built that new stage down by Ghiradelli and in the back ground is SSR, and if my girls get to perform on that stage and we own at SSR, well, can you imagine my excitement. To see the girls perform in front of one of the resorts we own at! I have already had tears in my eyes over it. I know, I'm pathetic! But I just had to share because I knew you all would understand the excitement in this.

Holy cow!!! I got the 999th AND 1000th POST!!! I KNEW there was a reason I couldn't sleep tonight!!! I'm NEVER up this late (or early if you want to look at it that way) LOL!!!!

I guess not sleeping is good for something!!!

HIIIIIIIIIIIIII, WHAT TIME IS BREAKFAST AT THE CASTLE MAYBE I CAN GET EVERYONE TO GO TO FANTASYLAND AGAIN OR I MIGHT SLIP AWAY FOR ALONE TIME MON AFTER MY DS AND I GO ON THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM MAYBE I CAN TELL THE OTHERS TO MEET WITH MY DS AND I AT EPCOT. I DEFINATLEY HAVE TO WALK AROUND CHECKING OUT ALL THE TOPIARIES AND TAKE PHOTOS OF THE GARDENS. THAT MIGHT BOAR EVERYONE ELSE A COUPLE YEARS AGO I GOT A COUPLE GOOD SHOTS OF WINNIE THE POOH AND PANDAS. MAYBE I CAN TIME IT BEFORE OR AFTER YOUR DINNER.
MY DS FUTURE WIFE SEVERELY DAMAGED HER ANKLE 3 DAYS AGO SO SHE MAY GET A WALKING CAST, EITHER WAY I HAD TO ARRANGE WITH AIRLINE AND DVC WE WOULD BE COMING WITH WHEELCHAIR.

We got an 8:15 reservation because I wanted to get in the park before it opened for the day!

Love your topiary shots of pooh. I enjoy looking at them too. Why don't we plan to meet up at EPCOT Monday afternoon then. If that works for you that is. Our reservation is at 5:30 at Rose & Crown. So we could meet up before or after.

And too bad about your sons fiance. What a bummer!

Thank you all for those wonderful anniversary wishes! I have not been on here lately because I was trying to plan a last minute spring break trip. Well, I had it all done then Disney opened up cat 11 and 12 for a 3 day and I couldn't refuse! So, needless to say I have to get alot done in 2 weeks. The only sad thing is I don't think anyone is doing a FE Hope everyone is getting some nice weather.

Hi chris, my son and i finish our keys to the kingdom tour probably 2 or so. I can tell the others that after our tour we would head over to epcot , you dont need to change your plans. As long as i know where you will be roughly before 530 and after i will try to figure out something. Hopefully i get my pc hooked up to internet wed nite there, you can let me know when yours will be running again. That way we can keep in touch. Anything can happen between now and mon. I will explain to laura dw.
I know we want to take the kids to epcot and see illuminations later in the day.

Yep, not sleeping IS good for something!! I WAS up late last night! For some reason I couldn't sleep. I think since I've been on "full planning mode" for the cruise, I've been getting excited. I got about 5 1/2 - 6 hours of sleep. I was wide awake at 7:00 this morning. Had to go walking/campaigning for my dad this morning, the street we were walking on had no sidewalks, so we were walking in the muddy grass for three hours. I have a feeling I'll be going to bed very early tonight! But, before that, I need to go bake some cookies for my dad's fundraiser on Tuesday.

I was all excited about our forecast here but now that I see WDW is in the 70s I am SOOOO wanting to go there NOW!!! Chris and Ian - I hope you both have a great time!!!!

Chris - I wanna live on the ship TOOOOO!!!!!! that or FL - DH is about ready to strangle me because I keep saying that's what I want to do - he's hoping the sun here will help me get back to my senses!! Fat chance of that - don't think I have any!!!!

Songs- how fun. I sing anything - make up words - sing random songs at work - they think (know) I am nuts because I sing the oddest things - whatever pops in my head. DDs are crazy Taylor Swift fans so I have all of her albums memorized. I am a country and 80s fan - born and raised in SW PA in the 80s explains that. However I am an AMerican Idol fan and LOVE Kris Allen - his version of Apologize is one of my favs. Right now I'm loving on Lady Antebellum - Need You Now. I will sing if no one knows this one!!

We are staying at the Wilderness this time, for the first time. So excited. That place is gorgeous! We've visited over there but never stayed. And that would be so nice to have a welcoming comittee at the main entrance . Or at EPCOT later in the day. The overall drive time is like 23 hours. I know scary, but next monday we should be pulling in around 10:00 am, if not before. We are spending Sunday night in Gainesville, FL so we won't have that far to go on Monday. We usually make the drive in 2 days but since we can't leave until around 4:00 on Saturday, we will be driving on 3 days. (Oldest DD has her last Show Choir competition next Saturday so we have to wait until that is over before we can leave.)

Rain, there ain't gonna be no stinking rain. They are just pulling your leg. Well, let's hope so anyway.

I do not know that song - Need You Now - so sing away! I break oout in song too. I love to sing though my family does not like me to sing. I gues I get it froom my momma. She is a "singer" who likes to break out in song anytime the mood hits her.

HI CHRIS, WELL IVE TOLD LAURA(DW) ABOUT YOUR DINNER AT 530pm AT EPCOT SO SHE NOW KNOWS MY MASTER PLAN THAT ONCE OUR KEYS TO THE KINGDOM TOUR IS OVER I WOULD HEAD OVER TO EPCOT.
