Lois: Keep up the effort to change the policy! You're the customer.
Of course we just went through the opposite situation with my Father in laws mail. He moved to a home and although we had the post office forward his mail the mail delivery person took it upon themselves to keep stuffing all the junk mail in the mail box.(Even though they knew he wasn't there, small town) We found the mailbox stuffed with snow and flyers at Christmas when we went to check on the house! (We solved the problem by taking down the mail box!) :rotfl:

When we first went to the post office all we wanted was an "I'm Sorry we made a judgement error." But after being told at least fpour times that it was my fault I decided it was a much bigger issue. I will be writting the localNews Paper and letters to all the local TV stations. I would love to get someone to do a story on the abuse of a policy. This is going to take time but I feel this has become a issue to protect the public in general. I will then write letters to the national headquaters and really see if I cxan change the policy. Before I request a change I need to see how the current policy reads. Details, details. Thanks for the encouragement. I heard a story about a post master in a small town that changed every ones address just because. Not good. Lois

If any one can do it you can! We'r behind you.:hippie: Fight the power..

Wow Lois! I say fight on as well. We are gone 6 to 8 weeks at a time ans our carrier just stuffs everything in the mail box. I do get a little irratated because we have written the places that send the sale papers and such and requested they not be sent (waste of paper, space in our box, we miss the sales anyway) and they refuse to stop sending them. We have a po box out here on the road that we get to weekly. Same thing there. I have spoken to the postmaster on several occasions about this and they say there is nothing they can do. People can just mail you whatever they want whether you want it or not. I think I should be able to restrict what is delivered to my boxes, kind of an automatic return to sender if these places refuse to stop sending it. As for things changing since 9 11 boy have they ever! I am a certified hazardous material carrier (which previously you only had to be tested every 2 years). Now, under the pATRIOT ACT (SORRY KEYBOARD STUCK ON CAPS TILL I REBOOT) I HAVE TO BE FINGERPRINTED AND CLEARED THROUGH AN FBI BACKGROUND CHECK TO ENSURE THAT I AM NOT A THREAT TO HOMELAND SECURITY. OF COURSE I WAS CLEARED, BUT OF COURSE THEIR SYSTEM IS CONFUSING, TIME CONSUMING, AND FULL OF COMPLICATIONS. ANYTHING TO KEEP US SAFE I GUESS!

Thanks for the positive words. All I want is a change that if they feel persop has moved without giving notice that the Post Office has to leave a note or some kind of notice that they have stopped delivery of the mail and when your mail will be sent back. However, it is not going to be an easy fight. Lois

I gotta go back and read the posts to catch up with everyone. We just got back from our Disneyland trip for DS 8 birthday surprise it went very well. Now I need to focus in on the cruise. Anyone else going a few days early? Lois is your sister still going a few days early? We read up and decided on a hotel and booked the 5th - 8th at Port Orleans Riverside. They sais the Disney Cruise Bus picks up from that hotel at 11a.m. So we went with it. The cruise is over on the 15th, and we are thinking of flying back on the 16th but not sure what to do with the rest of the entire day on the 15th.

We booked Port Orleans French Quarters. Janet and I arrive on the 1st and Debbie and the girls arrive on the 3rd. That gives us 6 days in the parks and my sister and the girls 4 full days. Can't wait. Lois

If you are late for dinner you just eat on deck 9 or at topsider. Can't late for the party as it starts after we leave port I believe. Lois

true. there's no way you could be deprived of food on pirate night since the party which starts around 9pm comes complete with a full buffet of pirate-themed foods and there's always topsiders. however, the actual sit-down dinner on pirate night is a lot of fun. it's more than just a regular dinner, so if you can make it to that dinner i recommend it!

Looks like the chatter is doing well. Happy St Patrick's Day:thumbsup2

DFi and I changed from 1st dining rotation to 2nd dining rotation, now just counting down to making Palo & Shore Excursion ressies.

You sure can if you want! There are some great pics on the thread of DCL pic of the day.

pirate: pirate night? Do we dress up as piratespirate:

Disney Shopping had some pirate wear and I bought the designer tee shirt for me and the pirate designer windbreaker for DH. I thought we'd wear that with black pants/slacks to dinner, and just put on a bandana or a pirate hat for the party. I was able to combine some good codes to get the prices down for my purchase.
Oriental Trading Company also has some good pirate gear on their website.

Some folk do and others don't. You get a bandana for your head at dinner that night. It is up to each person if they want to spend the money. I bought the stuff to sew the costumes but don't know if I will have the time to put them together. This will be our fourth cruise and it would be the first time to dress up. So it is completely up to you. The time I think your girls will enjoy is dressing up for formal night. You can either get them a fancy dress or some girls wear princess costumes to dinner. Lois
