09/08/07 Early Check in September 8, 2007 Western

Captain Marvin's is very highly regaurded, as is Moby Dick Tours, which is who we are going through. Not only do they not have an age limit, they are much cheaper and also provide the option to be dropped at 7 Mile Beach, free of charge. Score!

we are doing moby dick too!!!

Actually I contacted Moby Dick first and they never emailed me back :confused3 ... Captain Marvin has been quite accomodating as I wanted certain times, etc... and I just emailed them yesterday! Captain Marvin for us, was a bit (not much) cheaper than Moby Dick, and I didn't price it through DCL since DD didn't make the age cutoff. Anyway, we are thrilled they are able to give us a tour of Hell/Turtle Farm, followed by a 2 hr Snorkel/Stingray tour, and we will be done by 1pm or so!! That way we can have the rest of the day to explore or do whatever (can you say kids club and massage??:woohoo: )

It has been a bit hard to schedule these excursions and also to get a block of unscheduled family explore time....hopefully Cozumel will work out the same way.

We are so excited! and I am driving everyone around me mad with my excitement.... which I am loving by the way. Even better since Dean went south and Grand Cayman and Cozumel seem to be okay

No docs yet... no worries though as we will be showing up at the port regardless!

We all watched the Travel Channel piece tonight.... and are totally psyched! Hurry up September 8!!!!!

Yippee, we got our cruise docs today. No upgrade, but I am happy to be in a Cat 7 Navigators Verandah on deck 7.
S.S.Oceanlover - thanks for the graphics, I'll try one of your designs. I copied it to WORD and will work on it this week..

Glad you got your docs. I tell my wife every night how many days until we go. Like she needs reminding.lol
"Same response every time. "Oh my God, I can't believe it's so close!!"
No docs here.

Have a ball with the designs. Only like 2 are mine I think. The rest I found wandering around the web.

Gotta get back to watching the Disney show on the Travel Channel.

Bill

There has been a lot of "chatter" tonight here in central and also in south florida that castro has passed away - none of it confirmed as of yet. If it does turn out to be true, its just a bit weird to think of sailing around the outskirts of Cuba at this historical time.

I'm still waiting to see what MamaKoss has told her boss!
Donnica, that wasn't me who hasn't told her boss yet about the cruise vacation. My boss has known for like ever that I'm going on vacation. Besides, I have flex time at work and I can take off whenever I want. Nice huh? I think it was JJCL who said that...I think?

Okay...so I was at work today, and suddenly got sick! Had to go home and I feel blah right now. :sad1: I've slept on and off all day (I came home around 11:30 a.m.) and just feel blah. :worried: :worried:

But, if I gotta get sick, I'd rather it be now, before the cruise! That way I'll be all set to party!

Well, as of tomorrow, 14 days til sail!!!! pirate: WoooHooo!

I'm going to check out SSOceanlovers door signs. I think I'll print them for our door!

See you soon.

Aloha fellow cruisers! My wife Amy and I have been browsing this board for a long time, but this is our first post. We will be having a blast with you all in about 2 weeks and we are stoked. Anyway, we just called Disney tonight to find out what movies would be playing on our cruise, and their answer confused and startled us. The movies listed currently are:

The Prestige
Phantom of the Opera
Casino Royale
Wallace & Grommit: Curse of the Were Rabbit
Disney's The Wild
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (Not At World's End)

There was also one other old non Disney film that I currently can't remember. My wife and I are hoping the Disney Cruise Line Rep was wrong. These were all good films, but a little older than expected. We expected newer, more Disney related films like Pirates: At World's End, Meet the Robinsons, Ratatouille, Underdog, etc. Has anyone else called to find this out? If so, were you told different films?

ALOHA!

I wonder if and when they will let the world know. There has been talk in the past that in the end was unfounded. I know he is getting older and has been in failing heath these past few years so if this turns out to be fact it shouldn't surprise any of us. Heres to wishing Cuba the very best and a positive leader in thier furture. I suspect there could be a period of unrest as there might be a struggle over who is going to lead or have the power.

Now on to a more positive note. We got out Documents!!!! I am sure most everyone will have theirs by Monday if not before.

I will update the Roster this Tuesday. Remember that I leave on Sauraday Just one week from now. So if you want info updated or other info included please PM me and I will add it.

Well I am going back to bed and trying to get more sleep. Lois

Welcome. We look forward to cruising with you. To help other recogonize us we are selling lime green leis for 1 dollar each. They will be available at the airport Hyatt, the port and at the Mickey pool meet at 3PM that first day. Ladyemmaann and myself will have the leis.

You can get to the group roster through link in my siggie. Check them out to get an idea of what we have planed and what info we are keeping on the roster. It is totally up to ypu how much you provide in info and how much you decide to join in with the group. See you I hope 9/8. Lois

PS I suspect that Underdog will be showing in the Walt Disney Theater one night this week. I wonder if they gave you the monies playing the room not the movie playing in the Movie theater. Those are typically once that have been released in the last year or two. I am hoping that Underdog is shown. I want to see it.

14 day before you fly out and in 13 days you get on the Magic? Are you boarding the Magic before you fly out? Don't you mean you fly out in 13 days and board the Magic in 14? Just a Question. See you later tonight. Lois

I have folks who are currently on the Trans-Atlantic looking into this for me. I do believe that these are the in-room movies, though and not the Buena Vista Theater movies. (fingers crossed)

Good new, cruisers! I have confirmed the movies as of today. They are:

- Wild Hogs
- Meet the Robinsons
- Bridge to Terebithia
- Pirates 3
- Invincible
- Ratatouille
- Underdog
- Pirates 2

Also, in honor of the ship having been in Europe, they WERE showing:

- The Prestige
- Casino Royale
- The Italian Job
- Moulin Rouge
- Phantom of the Opera
- Wallace and Grommit: Curse of the Warerabbit
- The Incredibles
- The Wild

This last set of movies will most likely switch out when the ship gets back home, but the top list should still be showing when we are onboard. HOORAY!!!!! :cool1:  :cool1:

Hey everyone,

Although I will not be joining you on your 9/8 Western, I am hoping one of you will post your navigators on here since you will be the 1st group back on a western. I sail on the 9/22 Western, and wanted to get a sneak peek at what has changed, and what will be the same. I know there are many of us out there who just cant wait to see whats in store. Hope you all have a great time, great weather, and be sure to tell Mickey hi for me!

Though I'd be happy to share as much information with you as possible, I have no idea how to post navigators. But I have no problems answering questions, so if you can't get navigators, feel free to send me your questions.

On that note, I did ask my connections at DCL some questions about our sailing and at the moment, it doesn't seem like much will be different form the previous Western cruises. (Of, course, Disney does LOVE to change things at the last minute for a fun surprise, so we can't count on this info to be 100%) Schedule wise it looks like this is still the plan:

Saturday 9/8- Embarkation Day.
Theme: None
Menu: Regular from your assigned restaurant
Show: "Welcome Aboard Show".
Sunday 9/9- Key West
Theme: None
Menu: Regular from your assigned restaurant
Show: Comedy/Magic Cabaret Show
Monday 9/10- At Sea
Theme: Formal Night
Menu: Regular from your assigned restaurant
Show: "Golden Mickey's"
Tuesday 9/11- Grand Cayman
Theme: None
Menu: Master Chef Series
Show: "Twice Charmed"
Wednesday 9/12- Cozumel
Theme: Pirates IN the Caribbean
Menu: Pirates IN the Caribbean
Show: "Pirates IN teh Caribbean Deck Party"
Thursday 9/13- At Sea
Theme: Semi-Formal Night
Menu: Captain's Gala
Show: "Disney Dreams"
Friday 9/14- Castaway Cay
Theme: None
Menu: Til We Meet Again
Show: "Remember the Magic"/"Til We Meet Again"

I was really hoping that they would decide to keep one of the shows or menus that they premiered in the Mediterranean for us, but as of right now, it doesn't look like it.....then again.....

Let's all have faith, trust and pixie dust...........
