Formal night is Monday our first day at sea. From what I've observed "formal" has quite a range. Anything from slacks and shirts with ties for men all the way to tuxes. Some women wear ball gowns, some wear suits (I will be wearing a suit), some just wear dresses. Kids usually wear dresses, or little kid formal clothes and some of them wear Disney costumes like princesses and pirates! One of the cutest outfits I saw on kids during our last cruise, were two girls in matching sailor outfits, adorable! And as always you don't have to participate in formal night. It's not required.

Okay, I posted on myspace.com group and I hope it worked. But, I had my daughter Maria post from her myspace account because she's been established for a while there. The picture is of my family. The dark haired daughter is Kelly (my 12 yr old who will be 13 9/30), the jolly looking fat lady is me (Renee, or better known here as MamaKoss), my oldest daughter Maria (15), and my big hulky husband Jim.

Now, hopefully that picture has been added to my signature line here as well. Let's hope.

BTW, no docs yet...hopefully tomorrow or saturday.

My TA gave me the tracking # for my cruise documents. They should be delivered tomorrow... They are coming directly from DCL.
My DH will wear a suit to Palo on formal night. We bought it for my nephew's wedding a year ago, and he has not worn it since. He can wear a shirt & tie and dress slacks for semi-formal night and dockers and collared shirts the rest of the cruise. I have dresses for most of the nights, some capri sets or slack sets for the rest of the cruise.

I didn't get my cruise documents either.. called the TA and they were like you dont need em if you checked in online... I WANT THEM THOUGH....
bummer... They say Disney sends them directly to me..

I dont think so...

if she doesn't mind, I have a 4 year old little girl looking for a frined on the ship, she may take to her like a leach, or the opposite. Let me know and we can get them on together to start talking. we could even do a live webcam so the 2 could talk real time???

kinsey pm'd your daughter tonight, sorry it was so late but with school, gymnastics, trying on disney cruise clothes that she has already outgrown, etc., but she was totally excited that your daughter was a cowbay fan, an artist (with colors) and an aspiring gymnast, i just couldnt type fast enough for her! i dont have a live cam because as i told you before i am totally computer illiterate but more importantly, is there any way you can help grandma4ever (i.e. lois) with her picture. she has been an inspiration for us for a number of months and it would be a shame she would not be able to post a picture with us. i welcome other diser's to pm other kids their age on the dis boards - it is a wonderful way for them to have a friend already on board when they arrive at the ship

IN REGARDS TO THE FORMAL NIGHT, MY HUSBAND REFUSES TO WEAR A SUIT, AND WITH A LONG SLEEVE SHIRT, NICE TIE, AND DRESS PANTS, HE FITS IN QUITE NICELY, (SOMETHING ABOUT A SOUTHERN BOY THING). AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT WEARING JEANS, FLIP FLOPS, AND A TSHIRT, YOU'LL FIT RIGHT IN!!

Is anyone planning on renting a Tux?

If not what do most men end up wearing? Jacket and tie, or just slacks and a Tie?

Also do we know which night is formal night?

My almost 3 year old niece, Cady will also be looking for a friend. She is very mature for her age and she will be doing the Oceaneers Club (since she is fully potty trained). I think she'd do a lot better on the ship in general if she had a friend to look for.

I am back from Oakland, thank GOD!!!! Work meetings. Went well, but to make my day really shine, I got home about 7:30p.m. to my CRUISE DOC'S!!WoooHoooo we are goin on a cruise, it's official! Hahaha. I was so happy to see those things. My only question is:
There are 3 papers "Wlecome to the bahama's" papers that say they are given for the Government and Immagration. Here's the question, it asks for our passport # and expiration. Well I have no passports... now what? I have everything I need, Birth certificates, Id, but no passport. Anyone know? Thanks ahead of time.

We got those as well and thought that they only needed to be filled out when you went to Nassau. Having said that, I will fill mine out anyway so I don't have to rush and do it at the port.. I would say to leave the passport part blank. We sailed in Feb without a passport and just left that part blank.

fltink - My DS Matthew will be turning 3 on the cruise. However, he's not potty trained (ugh!) so if he goes into the club either DH or I will be with him. He's really shy so I'm sure he'd like having a "friend".
