Sorry the two of you were not feeling well enough to go, but glad to hear you have your priorities straight!:thumbsup2 Being well by Thursday is a MUST! Wish we were going too!

I've got two loaves of homemade french bread rising right now,,, they'll start baking in about 45 minutes. I'm going to grill up a pork loin to go with it. Trying to decide on a Hawaiian type of topping or BBQ. I've got a really good recipe for BBQ sauce, and it will take about the same amount of time to prep as the french bread will to cook. I made the sauce for my grilled turkey last thanksgiving, and the whole family loved it.

Ok, that settles it, BBQ Grilled Pork Loin it is.

:)

Can I just have the warm loaf of bread and some butter?

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. But definitely rest up for that cruise!!

You're up late Angie!

I just asked this question on another thread where folks were talking about boarding cards.....

Do you get one card per group or per person? I don't remember getting boarding cards at Port Canaveral. Could be we'd arrived after they stopped handing them out. (Both times we used DCL transfers from WDW). I thought that in Spain they gave us one card per person.

I just want to be sure the rest of the family can board with us on our card. Otherwise, we'll have to wait until they call the number of the person with the highest card!

We haven't heard from Jennifer since Bill got back. :confused3

Guess they are too busy having a great reunion.

If I do get on that repo cruise, I'm going to have a hard time keeping up with their thread. :chat:

They are up to 5000 PAGES and something like 74,000 posts. :scared1:

:)

We have also been busy with our oldest and his football stuff (pep rally on Friday and game yesterday). Man it was hot yesterday at the game!

In terms of WDW, I have to say that this is the time to go. It is very hot and you are guaranteed to have a short rain shower everyday, but if you can deal with that, the parks are great. I didn't get a lot of time to actually play :) so it was very cool that the lines were so short. The longest wait I had on any ride was 5 minutes and that includes the most popular ones in MK and Epcot. Wow! I have never seen it like that as we have always gone Thanksgiving week.

It is always "magical" at WDW but I wish I could have had my family with me. It felt like something was missing.

I did make a point to have the fish and chips twice, one for me and one for Jennifer ;). They are sooooooooo good. All kidding aside, I cannot wait to experience the "magic" with the ones I love in December and look forward to hopefully making some new friends. Talk to you all soon and I promise I'll let Jennifer out to play on DISBoard. :)

We got one card for the two of us last Dec. I'm not sure if you are traveling with a group in more than one stateroom. We have 5 staterooms on this cruise and we all want to board together. We will be coming into the terminal together so we should have the same number even if they give each stateroom a separate number. I'm sure they will work with us on getting us all on board together.

They are a chatty group for sure! I don't think I would be able to keep up. We are about 1/3 that many on the WB and it takes alot to stay caught up.

Welcome home, Bill. We did love getting updates on your fun at WDW thru Jennifer. Our first trip to WDW was a business trip for me and it was in September. Dennis was at the parks all day and then we both went at 4 when I finished meetings. We got on all the rides and still had time to just look around. It is a great time to go. Dennis does love to visit and since he was alone all day he would chat with CMs. They were not real busy and so had lots of time to do that. When we went back in Dec -15 months later - there were two CMs at EPCOT that remembered him! They both said, "Hey Dennis, good to see you again!" Whoa! I was amazed that they would remember one person out of the millions they see in over a year.

Yes, hopefully they'll be able to just board with us when they call #1:banana:

Otherwise we'll wait until we can all get on together.:grouphug:

Wendy,
You can board the rest of your party with you. I was giving this some thought and last Dec one of the DIS group was in a suite. She was able to get two other DIS families boarded with them (ressies linked for dining and they had become good friends thru the meet thread). The children from the other 2 groups were able to wait in the roped off area where they had tables with crayons and such set up for the kids. The other DISers had #3 boarding passes, which they gave to us to replace our #6 that we got when we entered at 10:30!! We then passed ours on to someone that had a higher number. Just tell them these folks are with you and they will be able to board with us. They will not make someone in the suites wait for the rest of their party. :thumbsup2

Thanks Angie! I am so excited that we are all traveling together. This will just be one more special thing. :cool1:

I LOVE the story about passing on the boarding passes. I'll be sure to have DB and DSis get some cards for their cabin when we enter the terminal. Maybe we can help some Dissers out too! :thumbsup2

We can finally post that we are sailing definitely on this cruise. We are booking independent tours on St. Maarten and a sailing 1/2 day adventure in St. Thomas.

We are a 30-something couple with a 4.5 year old daughter. For privacy reasons, we are hesitant to give our exact details or our cabin.

We are thinking asking another couple with a child of similar age if they want to book a 1/2 sailing charter with us. We do not think our daughter will be into snorkeling (she's afraid the fish will bite), so we are looking to be flexible and do a sail swim. We have them down to two. The Ike Witt or the Jolly Mon. I have a thread in the main forum with pros and cons of each. If no one comes, we will just charter it privately. The boats only take six.

Hey Amber, welcome to the party! Glad that you posted here. Since we have 4 kids between 14 and 2, we're not going to be able to go on the sailing charter with you, but thanks, that's a very nice offer. Hopefully, someone from this sailing will be able to join you.

Welcome!
