It seems like it took forever to get to 2000. The past 300 posts went by quickly! I thought y'all were joking about reaching 3000. We just might do it!

Congratulations! We will I'm sure. As the cruise gets closer :hourglass there will likely be more folks joining in AND we will get more excited :dance3:  :yay: (can that happen??) and will be posting more. :surfweb:

Just one more thing (there's always just one more thing with me, just like Columbo). . .

Thank you all for keeping me company while Bill is away. He comes home tomorrow. Yea!!!!!

Take Care, Jennifer

When our DS was late teens (he is now 29) we called him Crash. Kadell's Auto Body told us they were going to give us a punch card. 10 punches and we'd get a free fender. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Now the really funny part of this is that he joined the Army Reserves, went to basic training between his JR and SR years of high school and when he graduated they sent him to his training for the job they assigned him to, which was......driving a fuel truck!!! :scared1:  Luckily he got thru that stint without any mishaps and now seems to be a fine driver! :thumbsup2

That's TOO funny!!! :rotfl2: He sounds like an insurance carrier's nightmare!! :scared1: I hope I don't get a call from you guys!! :lmao:

Oh I don't think the insurance company got too upset....they just kept raising our rates. :sad2: :scared1: We now have DGS18 on our policy and he is just the opposite...very cautious, anal, clean record. And we pay dearly for him also since he is male, under 25 and single. Speaking of him (DGS) he turned 18 yesterday and right after school he went to the Post Office to register to vote and register for the Selective Service...draft. Do they still call it Selective Service?? :confused3 Registering to vote was huge excitement for him!

I'm going to Parr Lumber after work with a friend. Ladies Night. They are going to teach us how to fix stuff and build a planter or something.:woohoo:

2 cruises with just you and DH...wow!! :woohoo:

Well technically we're not alone this cruise.. We will be with another couple.. But they are leaving theirs at home and we are leaving ours.. So im not quite all alone with DH.. We are sharing the room.. We do get the bed and the jaquzzi tub :cloud9:

Thank You all for the wonderful stories and the kind words about our son..

Another pirate pirate: went by and I missed it :guilty:

Night Jennifer

OK, I'm all caught up again, and now it's time to go to bed. I need plenty of rest--we're painting the kitchen and my home office this weekend! Those are some of the many joys of living in a "fixer upper"!

Anytime! We look forward to hearing about Bill's adventures at WDW.

ooooo sounds fun

It was fun. I now can patch the holes in the walls, both small and large. :) Put in moulding, build a fence and make a planter box! :lmao: They had sandwich makings, fruit trays, veggie trays, cookies, sodas, coffee for us too. And they gave us all little gifts. We got our own measuring tape, one of those flat pencils you use to mark on the wood, carpenter's pencil I think it is called, and a pencil sharpener to go with it. DH does not even have a sharpener for his flat pencil, he has to use his pocket knife to sharpen it. ;) Also got a tiny little tin tool box full of mints. Very fun, my friend and I laughed a lot and are now prepared to surprise our hubbies with completed projects! :rotfl:

If you need any holes patched in those walls I am now trained! :lmao:

We had some chaos over here before Will's football practice. Cole was pushing a child chair and fell over and bit his lip. So, my little cutie now has a fat lip. Daddy is going to wonder what's been going on while he was gone. :confused3

After that, Will was excited over a loose tooth. However, he didn't want to go to football practice with a loose tooth (what if it falls out?). So, I spent some time wiggling it with his electric toothbrush and having him wiggle it with his tongue. He joked about putting a string around it and shutting the door.:lmao: Well I thought he was joking, but he was serious. No, we didn't do it. After some wiggling, it finally came out. So, we were safe to go to practice.

I don't think you have a problem!!! Actually, I'm kind of JEALOUS!!! I WISH I had a notebook all planned out. I am the world's WORST procrastinator. I just ask my DBrother and DSIL (who've taken 10 cruises) what to do and make mental notes. But I don't think we've even DISCUSSED what to do on the cruise when we're not at port. :rolleyes1

Once you start looking at the Navigators you'll see why we plan in advance. There are SO many things to do!! Print out the Navigators and start highlighting the events you want to go to. That way, when we get onboard and have the Navigators for our cruise you'll know what items to look for, and will have an idea of what the different events are.

The more info you can get in advance, the less time you'll spend on the cruise trying to figure out what you want to do. Back "in the day" you'd spend your first day aboard ship making all your appointments, changing dinner reservations, and booking shore excursions. Now 90% of that is taken away, since most cruise lines let you book online ahead of time. This makes the beginning of the cruise much less stressful!

Plus the anticipation/planning is part of the fun for me. After all the week will go quickly, but we're having months of fun just thinking about the cruise!

I like to have fun with the planning, but then once I'm onboard I just relax and go with the flow. Because no matter how much planning you do, things could change at anytime due to weather etc.

If you need any help getting organized though, just ask. You are in good hands here!

Now I have a problem. Will still believes in the Tooth Fairy. We put his tooth under his pillow in a baggie when he went to bed. I just went to put some $ in it and I can't find the baggie. I kept rolling him over (it was a sight, sleeping kid and mom is tipping him over) and can't find it! Luckily, football practice wears him out. He's a very sound sleeper. I am on the computer right now to print him a note from the Tooth Fairy. It is going to tell him to keep the tooth and money. I have to type the note, because he will recognize my handwriting. He is a smart kid.

:surfweb: Since I was on the computer, of course I had to check the DISboards.

Sometimes I think I am an over-planner. I am looking forward to receiving the new navigators and putting them in my pre-cruise notebook. I have tips, etc on the days (like St Thomas excursions and shopping on the St Thomas day) but I wish I knew our rotation so I could put the menus in the right days. I also made a notebook for my friend and she just rolls her eyes everytime I give her new pages.

Do I have a problem? I am hooked on the DISboards and pre-planning. Do I have OCD?:confused3

My name is Judy V and I have a problem.

I know what you mean. I have a separate email folder to keep track of all the cancellations I've made for our trip! I think I'm finally set. Although if they come out with a room only discount for the public I MAY change our hotel. It'd have to be a pretty good discount though because we're at POR, which looks like a perfect location for us.

I got the older DCL Passporters at the clearance sale for DB, DSis and I. And I have a spreadsheet with all of our flight, hotel, car rental, cruise and insurance info. Now I'm filling in a second spreadsheet showing all of our reservations/shore excursions. And of course a final sheet with all of the expenses, how much is prepaid, how much I've put on my shipboard account, and how much I can expect to pay out of pocket on the trip. Am I missing anything???
