Yeah! Your finished.

I have heard of your site and have visited it in the past. I am going to check it out now.

Just realized I had DS(7) do the wrong page in math this morning. I won't tell.:rolleyes1

Your secret is safe with me ;) We're just doing the bare minimum of school this week. Youngest DS is editing some videos for a co-op class on Friday and working no building a web page or something. So, I guess he's doing lots of electives this week :rolleyes1

Oldest just needs to keep up with reading for his history/literature class.

We've got so much going on, that I decided trying to do our regular schoolwork is futile! We did finish a book I have been reading aloud - wanted to finish before we left :)

Please forgive me for bragging :cheer2: about this but my DGS just won first place and 2nd chair in the symphony band from his school in this district. Next is state. He hasn't even been playing a year. We are so pround of DGS. Does anyone know if they sell mickey with a saxiphone(sp) ornaments at DD?

CONGRATULATIONS :cheer2: and Feel free to Brag away, you deserve to..
That is awesome.. :thumbsup2

Our friend's daughter plays Violin and we always go to her concerts.. She has been playing for 4 years now and is rather good.. :goodvibes

As far as the ornament, I don't recall seeing one, but I wasn't looking for one either.. :confused3

What school is this?

It is GVA (Georgia Virtual Academy). It is a new virtual public school in GA. The curriculum is wonderful but GVA doesn't produce any of the program. GVA sends us the materials produced by K12. Then we have an assigned teacher who basically lets me know if I logged attendance properly and sends a newsletter once a week. The newletter is never right and this week the teacher forgot to include that there is an online school meeting later this week.

It is basically a gummed up government mess. I do like the free materials.

Oh Noesssss!!!!!!!!!!

Heroes is on tonight and so is Part II of Tin Man :headache:

Any one watch Desperate Housewives last night? Who do you think died in the tornado? I think Victor. Not sure who else. Heard Mark Cherry during the week say one person who was on the show from the beginning would die and one newer person. I think Victor will be the newer person. Who else?

Oh Noesssss!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao: That is too funny!!! Tina and I were running into the SAME problem!! We've decided to tape one and watch the other on the road down to WDW on our dvd player. I haven't decided if we're going to watch our weekly shows and tape Tin Man, or vice versa! :confused3

I went to the mall trying to hunt down shorts. You would think this would be easy seeing as i live in florida and it is 85 degrees out today...but nope...no shorts to be found.

That is AWESOME! He must truly have a gift to excel so quickly. :thumbsup2

I I am still trying to find out directions from WDW to PC. Anyone know?

The directions you have sound pretty foolproof; I know Wendy also has some on the blog.

What time is everyone getting to the port? I know check in starts at 1pm I believe but we usually try to get there a bit sooner:rolleyes1 . The ecitement and anticipation overcome us.

We're planning on being there as soon as we can, 10-10:30 apparently. Also helps us with our car rental as it turns out, as we'll be picking up at about 10:30 am two days previous. This is our first cruise, but it seems like lots of people here say you might as well get there early...so, early out of the hotel in Orlando, breakfast at Waffle House I think then we're on our way! :yay:

I can't think of a product for teaching computer skills to younger elementary students.

Don't know what "computer skills" you're looking for, I don't want ds learning how to crack my password ;) but his teachers recommended a free download called "TuxTyping" for keyboarding. Just search "Tux Typing". He's in grade 2 and seems to like it.

Just came to the name of the guy we bought our business from three years ago. Even though he signed a noncompete he opened another business just like ours about a mile down the road at the end of August. :scared1: And he took two of our mechanics.

Turns out not so bad because I thought one was stealing from us. DH is way too trusting. Mechanic is gone and now we aren't lsong $5000-8000 a month in parts. I knew it was the guy for about 18 months but DH wouldn't deal with him. DH still won't talk about the fact I had the guy so figured out. I can also tell who is not going to pay their bill when they walk in the shop. I am right 95% of the time. Not sure why but I can tell.

Oh, shoufl previous owner get a card. His wife, the insurance agent, opened the new truck repair shop. Technically it is not his. He just owns the building and visits his wife at her shop all day long.

This made me cranky to read--no fair! OTOH, sounds like what goes around comes around on the mechanic he's "gotten back". They deserve each other...

They sometimes have singing, dancing, bands, or little skits on a small stage beside the lake.

Then there's that jolly  old man you can tell what you would like for Christmas.
.

Ooo, I didn't know he'd be there! We're missing all our chances here, b/c we'll be gone so much of Dec. That'd make a truly unique addition to our "photos with Santa" collection.

We use to live in Ft. Myer's close to Sanibel and the beach area. I loved it there. I wished we had never left.

My grandson use to really love going to the LEGO store at DD. He never wanted to leave. :rolleyes1

Ds has about 8 wks of allowance saved up for the lego store. :thumbsup2 BBB for dd, Lego for him...

ok I really Need to go to bed... But I wanted to share my HoroScope with you all....

:thumbsup2

That's perfect Stacy!! :goodvibes

Oh, has anyone done the Adventures by Disney? I just booked the Once Upon a Fairytale (Germany) trip for next summer!

That sounds really cool. I want to do Germany with the kids, the castles are...well, fairytale! I'd be interested to chat with you about the itinerary.

I went to the mall trying to hunt down shorts. You would think this would be easy seeing as i live in florida and it is 85 degrees out today...but nope...no shorts to be found.

Oh no! I just realized yesterday the kids seem to have outgrown their shorts, was planning on picking some up...

Have been busy, but nice to see a little catching up needed! We are "officially" signed up for door decorating (Stefanie, mommyoftwinfants, idea), but there were only a couple of us, the more the merrier! As I said, we're mostly about enthusiasm rather than talent, but dd will want to participate in anything that's going. :thumbsup2

OMG, I haven't packed this "heavily" since we were carrying jollyjumpers and diapers (not all that long ago!). Seems like I have to pack twice as much by way of clothes seeign as we have to be presentable for dinner every night! At this point I've got the clothes "done" for me and the kids and have today to do everything else--toiletries, electronics, etc. Then my grand plan is to have tomorrow to do the "house" stuff, ship the guinea off to camp, make up the beds with fresh linens, clean out the fridge and the fruit bowl, etc. I hate the thought of coming back to disorder and disarray--usually that's our norm ;) but I find it harder to take after I've had maid service for a couple of weeks! :rotfl: What do you mean, no-one picked up those towels since I dropped them there two weeks ago???

It's snowing like crazy here right now, looks soooo beautiful. BUT we have that 11 hr drive looming on Wed., so I'm hoping the sky tires itself out and it's clear driving on Wed. We were thinking we'd leave Tues evening but looks now like we'll just drive long and hard Wed., as there's snow in the forecast for tomorrow but not Wed. Wish us luck...

WOW. I bought four pair for DH on Saturday in North GA. I was shocked the store had so many choices. I was planning on picking up some for the rest of us in FL. I may be doing laundry.

I just spent about 15 minutes with Midwest Airlines fixing out seating.

We reserved our tickets back in June. We have my DW and I, and 4 children, so we reserved two rows of three seats one in front of the other. This way, DW can sit in one row with 2 boys and I can sit in the other row with 2 boys.

Midwest changed their plane configurations recently as part of the buyout. They are now offering a better class (like first class on other airlines) so they had to re-arrange all the seating.

Our flight to Orlando was not changed, but the flight back had us all spread out on the plane, including having our infant sitting in a row all by him self.

I called the 1-800 number gave her the resv. number... she told me that we would have to fix it at the airport on the day of the flight, as she couldn't change our seats. I said "No, someone was able to change our seats without my permission so I want this fixed now. I am not waiting until the day we fly back, and standing at the counter at the airport with 4 cranky kids to fix this." She again said "I'm sorry sir, there aren't enough seats available without moving other passengers." I responded with "Sorry, but you moved us without permission, and now I have an infant riding alone. We booked these seats 6 months ago so that we could have one adult in each aisle. I don't care about the row numbers, and I don't care if they are rows next to each others, but I will have two rows of three seats." She clicked some buttons and said "Ok, you're now in two rows of three, one in front of the other."

Thanks, that's good customer service.

DH and I are big Desperate Housewives fans. Victor sure looked like he would be dead. I did not know that someone from the beginning would die too.:confused3 Hmm, I have no idea who it could be.:confused3

Just found the St. Maarten docking schedule. Two other ships will be in port with us.

Just a heads up. If anyone had a tour scheduled with No Rush Tours, please note that the website is now showing as being no longer operational.

Looks like we are one of 3 in port at St Maarten that day.

Thanks Julie! Between my old computer and my lack of computer skills I have sometimes have trouble with these things.:badpc: Wanted to go to a beach on St. Thomas but St. Maarten might be less crowded. Guess I will just play it by ear like I usually do. Doesn't look like DH will be able to go in the water anyhow because he has a wound on his leg that will not heal. :sad1:

Your best bet would be the outlet mall across from from Disney on I4 or TJ Maxx/ Marshalls. I checked Target, Kohls, Macy's, Dillards, and JC Penneys, and half of the mall stores today.
With kids it is probably much easier because they look cute in athletic style shorts and probably prefer them!
DF will tell you that i am the most picky dresser out there!

I was mad because i just bought DF 3 pairs of shorts at Target. But none for the women!
When i was in High School and College in Chicago the guys there would wear khaki cargo shorts year round. so thats probably why we were both able to find those in stores.
