So close....
this has probably been covered however, .....................
I am unable to do excursions but wondering at our ports of call are there like shopping centers or things to stroll around in my chair?
I know CC what I can do but not sure at the other ports of call.
If nothing at those I will still enjoy doing the activities on the Magic.
thanks
ok I hope this does not get me a- my goal is to NOT have one
so I am scared posting this close -
I am getting ready to start packing some more - hubby actually gets here tomorrow night! I am so excited but makes me realize how much I still have to do to get ready for the cruise!
We leave on Wed. from Memphis and will be in disney on Wed. afternoon. I am ready to get away but not packed yet - oh and i guess I need to get out our passportsbefore I forget them!
You are going to have fun with that lens.![]()
Gotta have maid service for a floor like that...lolI know not where you find the time. I am looking at my floor now and have laundry from early today on it along with bags of art materials for school(dis wife is a teacher). 7 different plastic or rubber pirate swords & a hook. Half a log cabin (the other half was knocked over by a rampaging knight riding a monster truck). 3 cups, 4 flip flops (none match), and a bin full of unused Christmas decorations. By the way Do you have FIOS service?
I seem to remember a shopping area not at all far from the ship at St. Thomas. You should easily be able to travel there in your chair and peruse the shops. I don't know about St. Maarten - from pics, it looks like you can walk to a shopping area, but I'm not sure how long it takes on foot.
Like Cindy said, St Thomas has an area that's right there near the dock. I'm not sure how much St Maarten has changed, but we walked to the shopping area last time we were there... but that was years ago. Most people seem to take the water taxi now, though others have said it's about 20 minutes by foot to go "the long way" around. Though 20 minutes doesn't seem that long to me. I guess it depends on the temperature outside.![]()
I am just posting to post no chance of a pirate as I found the site to late.
I would like to thank everyone for the help and information. I read some more stuff and am sure we will have a great time If we ever make it there(so much to do....wife will be so buzy).
What time is everyone getting to the port? I know check in starts at 1pm I believe but we usually try to get there a bit sooner. The ecitement and anticipation overcome us.
I talked to a few disney travel reps 1 that just got off a 4 day cruise and they said the ships are all decked out for christmas so that will be fun. Hard to think Christmas in 85 degree weather but hey we have no sleet or slush and I can wear shorts to the grocery store.
Lots of us are planning on getting to the port by 10ish. Early bird gets the worm I guess. I have never arrived for a cruise after 11.
I hope everyone has a good night. I need to finish some laundry!!!![]()
I am looking to see if we can still get in on the Door Decorating Contest. I have tried to PM the person listed but I keep getting an error. I tried to PM someone else and the same thing happened. Anyone that can help on this it would be appreciated.![]()
