We're taking ours - with two home businesses, we need to be able to check on things. I am also attempting to get my Disney Blog set up so I can blog daily from the ship :thumbsup2
I would love to write a blob. Where so I go to set one up free of charge?

Can you share what type of products you review? Is it like a Consumer Reports thing?

We will also be bringing the computer to do payroll.

Just realized I called the blog a blob. :lmao: I really don't know what I am doing.

I just realized I did not buy enough Christmas cards for the shop. I bought 80 and need 100+. I wanted to finish tonight so I could drop them off at the Bethlehem post office on my way home tomorrow. They have the best post mark.

Just came to the name of the guy we bought our business from three years ago. Even though he signed a noncompete he opened another business just like ours about a mile down the road at the end of August. :scared1: And he took two of our mechanics.

Turns out not so bad because I thought one was stealing from us. DH is way too trusting. Mechanic is gone and now we aren't lsong $5000-8000 a month in parts. I knew it was the guy for about 18 months but DH wouldn't deal with him. DH still won't talk about the fact I had the guy so figured out. I can also tell who is not going to pay their bill when they walk in the shop. I am right 95% of the time. Not sure why but I can tell.

Oh, shoufl previous owner get a card. His wife, the insurance agent, opened the new truck repair shop. Technically it is not his. He just owns the building and visits his wife at her shop all day long.

I thought we would break 20,000 posts before we left. It is not going to happen.:sad2:

I am finally going to make my signs tonight and finish the angel costume and address all the holiday cards for our business. While talking to all of us who are still left at home.:rolleyes1

Things have definitely slowed down the closer we've gotten. Some people have already left for Disney, and others are just really busy. I know I've been more busy the last 3 weeks than I had been previously. And now, trying to get everything ready for the cruise, I'm even more busy!

I did manage to get 3 loads of :laundy: done today and the grocery shopping done last night. It was the first time I'd gone grocery shopping in almost 2 weeks! :scared: But hopefully now we're set till cruise time and won't have to be eating take-out as much this week. :thumbsup2

I write reviews of books and curriculum of interest to homeschool families. Been doing it for several years on my own site/newsletter and started providing reviews for another enewsletter last year. I love seeing all the new stuff that is available for families educating their children at home. Right now I'm writing a review of a program that teaches how to make your own stop-motion animation. This product appeals to anyone - not just homeschoolers. It is really a well-written book and kit, put together by a homeschooling family :)

Regarding a blog - the quickest is blogger.com You might also check out wordpress.com . I have my blog on my own website, but use WordPress.

Hi Bob! Welcome to you and your family! I think that's the 3rd set of twin boys we have on this cruise! I'm traveling with my DD9, and my siblings and their families for a family reunion. This is our 4th DCL cruise also. Our first was in 2003 and they seem to get better everytime! There's a Navigator from the Oct 13th sailing at castawayclubdotcom, if you want to see the recent activities.

Please click on the lime green link in my signature below, so you can see our cruise blog with all of the pertinent info. The first meet is at 3pm on Dec 10 Starboard on Dec 8th.

Will you be at WDW before or after the cruise?

I am not sure if we will be at Disney before or after the cruise. We are looking at doing both but unsure about the budget:eek: . Night after will probably be the best option.

We live in Tampa so not much of a big deal if we don't get there as we will be there soon enough we usually go a few times a year:laughing: (wife thinks it should be a weekly thing)

Wow the animation book sounds great. What do you use to make the pictures? Where can I get the book?

Do you know of any product which teaches computer skills to 2-3rd graders?

I agree with your wife :rolleyes1 We've thought of going to WDW the day we dock for a few hours. We have annual passes, so it wouldn't really cost anything except our food for the day. I'd like to spend the night and go to MGM for the Christmas lights, but oldest DS needs to be home to play drums on Sunday morning.

this has probably been covered however, .....................

I am unable to do excursions but wondering at our ports of call are there like shopping centers or things to stroll around in my chair?

I know CC what I can do but not sure at the other ports of call.

If nothing at those I will still enjoy doing the activities on the Magic.

thanks

You can get the book/kit (it comes with software and a web camera for capturing your video) here: www.nr-productions.com

I can't think of a product for teaching computer skills to younger elementary students. You might look at Computer Science Pure and Simple from motherboardbooks.com However, I think it is better suited for upper elementary or middle schoolers. My kids have learned the most from just "playing" with the computer - using Word to type up stories, Paint to make pictures, etc. I don't think I'd worry about very advanced skills at that grade level, though I know that schools do teach PowerPoint and stuff at young ages these days.

I seem to remember a shopping area not at all far from the ship at St. Thomas. You should easily be able to travel there in your chair and peruse the shops. I don't know about St. Maarten - from pics, it looks like you can walk to a shopping area, but I'm not sure how long it takes on foot.

Our DD has soccer on Saturday before the cruise so we are debating missing it to go to mk on Friday night or Sat before cruise. After the cruise would be just to wind down from the relaxing 7 day vacation we just took...Decisions Decisions....

Welcome! I have a 12 yo daughter who will be on the cruise too! Maybe they can meet up - she really likes making new friends. Does your daughter like to do the clubs?

My Daughter does like the clubs (or did, fisrt cruise we barely saw her). She is a little shy but after a little while everything usually works out. I know she was concerned about someone her age on the ship.

So what is everyone reading on the cruise?

I picked up the latest James Patterson book in the Alex Cross series, "Double Cross".

DH is reading "Born Standing Up" - Steve Martin, and "Total Money Makeover" - Dave Ramsey

Hopefully somrthing by john Ringo (Ghost series) or Jim Butcher (Dresden files)
for me. Wife wont be reading but daughter will have something.:yay:

Oh that sounds great! Last cruise she "met" another girl her age before the cruise but my daughter LOVED the clubs and the activities but the other girl did not so she was kinda disapointed.

Tell her my daughter's name is Ashlyn and we will be at the DIS meet - we are on deck 5 - can't remember the room number right now - but will get back with you on that through a PM.
