OK, I just tried to access my reservation and got the message that I couldn't because it's currently being serviced. Could it be---maybe---I'll have a room number?

I can't tell you how excited I got reading this. Now I'm all... that they psyched us out. Still, it COULD mean something!!

DH did call me up to ask me if the Writer's guild is on strike, why aren't they carrying blank signs.

I didn't even realize that we were that close! I don't have any yet, and seem to be working hard at not getting any! I'm actually at work, and waiting for a very long document to print. I can't do anything else until it's finished, so I figured I'd visit for a while so that I stay awake until the end of the day! And I just noticed that it printed in Black and White instead of Color, so I need to do it again. It's alright though, because I needed to make a copy of it anyway!

THat format made no sense.... here is the simplified version!

Kids (5:30/8:00) APLAPLA

Cruise: Disney does not do the same photo CD that they offer in the parks, but the do have a service in which they transfer your pictures from your camera or memory card to a CD for $14.95 . I suppose that beats taking a laptop on board for that purpose?

So, DCL veterans, tell me if I've got this right.

On Saturday the terminal doesn't open until 10, right? At which time you can start handing over luggage and checking in? Or is it more like 10:30 before you can check in?

You are given a boarding number based on when you get there (or the class of your cabin, but time of check in for most of us)?

When does it start getting busy? I thought I read somewhere the buses arrive between 11 and 12.

People aren't usually actually allowed on the ship until noon? Then groups are boarded by number.

Then we all rush to book Palo?

This is all a complete guess on my part, but I'm thinking they might offer the Cat 12 gty until the ship is a certain percentage full. They know not everyone who books it is gonna end up in one since they only have thirteen of them. But getting someone in and bumping them up, even at a Cat 12 gty rate, is still better than the cabin sitting empty and them not getting any money at all.

I think once they get to that percentage full, they probably "cut their losses" and go back to only taking reservations on higher categories hoping someone will actually book at a higher rate. I'm sure the bean counters have it all worked out as to when the ship is making money versus losing money considering fuel, food, salaries, etc.

Just my guess!

Ooh, thanks. I have a 2MB memory card in my digital camera, so I'm hoping I don't need to download during the trip.

It would be nice if Disney offered the pictures taken by Shutters staff on CD though. Not only would you not have to worry about them getting bent on the way home, but you could also print any size you wanted.

Roses! My favorite!

I must be off... I need to go over to my mom's house and try on my wedding dress. Hopefully my efforts have been paying off. At David's Bridal it was like that scene out of Gone With the Wind, where scarlets is being laced into her corset, except i am lying in the floor and my mom is yelling "suck it in!"
