party: woot!!! :woohoo: Let's hope so

Stacy:

:goodvibes I'm glad you are on Angie's Brunch List. I am sure that is a big relief. I didn't realize how fast the Brunch reservations would go. I'm really glad we stayed up to make our reservations when we did.

:rolleyes1 I am off to educate the youngin'. Have a great day everyone. Hopefully, I'll be back online later. . . :flower3:

Well, it is good news if we are not bumped by the TA over on "the other board." ;) :lmao:

Hi, all! Still home, still sick, but starting to feel a bit better. I have to go to work tomorrow, even if I have to crawl there, because I have a deadline to meet.

Catching up:

Jennifer--Our DGD went to Tea With Wendy when she was almost four. She loved and still talks about it. Her mom was bored to death, but Shannan still drinks her tea the way Wendy showed them.

tidoublegger: Welcome aboard! I hope your plans work out and you can join us. We're a fun bunch.

Koala Lovers: If you've been around a while, you'll remember that I went to a Teddy Bear convention back in August. I went to help a dear friend sell copies of her book "Klassic Koalas: Ancient Aboriginal Tales in New Retellings". It's just what it says, and it's a lovely book. It contains beautiful koala illustrations created by children. If you're interested in seeing more, go to http://www.leebarwood.com (the author) and check it out. The proceeds go to the Australian Wildlife Hospital, founded in memory of Steve Irwin's mother.

Cigars and Cognac: Not for us, thanks. Cigars are a migraine trigger for me, and I avoid being around them at all costs. But if they're your thing, please enjoy!

I was wondering, too, what happened to the original people on this post. I know that the OP is on the other board, and I would imagine that some people's plans change over the course of two years. I can't imagine ever being able to book a cruise that far in the future! We have so many schedules to coordinate that we're lucky we can do it six months ahead!

Well, it's off to take some more Benadryl and some aspirin and work on my knitting for a while. I did get to spend late afternoon yesterday feasting on all the Disney shows on the Travel Channel while I was knitting. I had never seen the show about Disneyland.

I was very surprised when the Tea was gone in 7 hours

At midnight, I reserved Palo dinner & 2 excursions but not the Tea.. Went back at 7 am and GONE :headache:

Stacy, have you ever done the Tea before? I am not a big tea fan but I was curious if the "experience" was worth it. :confused3

No, the last Magic we were on, we hadn't heard of it..

DH & I both enjoy Tea at night before he comes to bed.. We relax and wind down..

I've heard the Palo's Tea is definately a "thing to do"

We've never done Brunch either so I'm excited knowing we may be able to join the group for it..

Hi all, long story short....our family was supposed to be leaving Sat. on the Eastern, but due to my FIL's illness we have postponed our cruise until 12/8. Of course, if the circumstances remain the same, we'll reschedule until next Oct.

Anyway, we were part of the Cruise-A-Palooza group and I enjoyed posting on that DIS meet thread. :thumbsup2 I'd love to join your group~ there seems to be a LOT of pages in this thread. Any summarized info I can access?

I look forward to getting to know you all! Seems like a fun group! :)

Welcome Tracy! Sorry your FIL's illness added you to our list, but glad to have you here nonetheless. Hope your FIL improves quickly.
If no-one else has linked it, here's a good place to start.

Wow I am WAY behind on this thread!

We had a Team Building Day out of the office today, so I was away from the computer.

But we did find out that I'll be able get my DVC membership squared away. The new promotion for new referred members who buy 225 points is $10 off at SSR or $8 off at AKL PLUS 160 extra points in the first year!

I'm going to chill and watch the rest of Army Wives before bed. I'll get caught up on the thread tomorrow.

Good Night all!
Wendy

That's so weird. I keep checking (at least 3-4 times a day) and it's always grayed out for me as nothing available. Do you already have a Palo dinner reservation? Maybe it stays lit because technically you can go in and make changes?

I believe I read where JoAnne keeps trying and getting the grayed out Palo too.

Ok, I can't read everything before I respond or I'll lose track again!!

Still all greyed out for me and I even asked my TA to check, she's getting the same result... :confused3

I'll make a beeline to where-ever it is when we board, just a little frustrated I can't get it done beforehand.

Brack: Did you have the folks from Shutters take your photos or someone in the group? I'd hate for someone to be excluded because they were the "photographer". How did you do it last time?

- Jennifer

We usually stop a CM or a guest.:)

Yeah, likewise. That's what we get for booking late! :lmao:

But I'm going to try not to stress over it too much. I'd rather not feel rushed that morning and be all worked up about catching the *first* bus and being *first* off, etc. If I don't get Palo, I'll just enjoy another night in the restaurants :)

Ever wonder what happens to the people who starts threads and then you hardly see them.. Or people saying they are joining you on a specific date and then never hearing from them again...

I went pack to page 1 of this thread and start reading all the pre-me posts.. There are names I've never seen here..

The older the thread is the more people you have drop off. It could be for a variety of reasons such as rebooking or personal things that arise. Some people even get "cold feet" when it comes to really meeting other people from online. :confused3

I hope this works out for you all. Prayers for your FIL.
:grouphug:

That's almost an INCENTIVE to do it!!! :lmao: I can only imagine seeing Cinderella coming in to work in those high shorts and a tank top! :rolleyes1 But I guess that would we weird though. I've seen a couple characters outside of "work" and it was just cool to think you were seeing "******" hanging out.

The tour is really cool but I would really hate to see a "headless" Mickey smoking with a "headless" Pluto! :scared1: :scared: :sad1:

 Has anyone attended the Tea With Wendy onboard? I was planning on getting myself and DD4 tickets on embarkation from Guest Services (free).

- Jennifer

Annette and I did a couple of cruises ago. It's cute and the kids seemed to really like it; especially the girls.
