Crossing to Canada--we drove across in Jan/Feb with just birth certs, thought it wasn't changing til the new year? We can't fly across but I thought we had a little breathing space on driving. shrug. Got ours now anyway.

Ok, Stacy, 4 pirates in a couple of days.

Methinks the lady doth protest too much. ;)

I know we don't qualify, but Seniors get an additional 10% off on Wednesday at Kohl's. My Mother In-Law loves it there too. I'll tell her about the sale.

It is 20% off all clearance, sales, or regular priced items.. Im not sure if you need to use your CC for it though.. If you do, use the card and then you can pay the bill right there at the register.. :rotfl: The cashier told me that trick.. :goodvibes Why not.. If it qualifies you for extra discounts and you have the money anyway or else you wouldn't be shopping.. Right :confused3

No !! She Cheated!!! I got 1 lonesome pirate and she gave me 3 because of my pumpkins VVVVVV down there.. :guilty:

Ok, here's my score--Ann Taylor (or is that Anne?) silk cocktail-ish dress for...drumroll...$7. Perfect for brunch at Palo if I can get a ressie! And it matches my hair!

:thumbsup2 Now, that is a deal!!!!!! I assume the dress isn't pink or purple. :rotfl:

I'm a (fake) redhead, just like Elastigirl. (Ok, I don't know if she's a fake or not.) I actually had on a lovely full-length dark red number, but red-red looks awful with my hair. The one I bought is a sort of tomato and orange floral print. (That sounds godawful, but really, it's lovely!!)

Shopping. Now that's a topic I can have fun with. My quest now is to find a jacket or suit for ds. (Cheap, of course.) Everybody's gotta have a goal, right?

Speaking of, anyone ever get anything shipped to them at the boat? I know it's theoretically possible. We did it last year when we were staying at CBR. Too many places have outrageous shipping fees to Canada, and then you never know when they're going to whack you with a duty bill in the mail after the fact. Our exemptions when travelling are great these days, so we fill up while we're away...

Sorry they must have Missed this one...

a pirate: is when you post on the post number for every 100 posts..

example..

post 100 is a pirate:

post 200

post 1,000

post 1,100

post 1,200

post 2,000

etc etc

and in my case I think I got post 3,200

What ?

Where??

Grrrrrrr You.. You... Dirty Dog you...

:snooty:
All in good fun! You did state you don't want pirates. So, now a new challenge is to get you the MOST pirates.pirate: Just kidding!:lmao:

I was thinking of getting a pirate chest full of goodies for the person who wins this pirate contest. That would be fun to give at the meet on embarkation. It would be a nice "ice breaker".

Yes, I know they changed it a couple of times, and we were holding our breath when we drove across in January...and the guy gave us a stern lecture about getting our documents together, but he let us in anyway! Crossing the border always makes me feel like a criminal, like I must be hiding something! :rolleyes1

Ohhh Chocolate Gold Coins...

I think when it gets close to a pirate: Im going to stop talking til it is over and I am 100% safe :sad2:

but you tricked me with all the Bargin hunt shopping and I got excited and forgot to watch the post count :guilty:

I will never forget the time I was visiting family in California when I was younger (in the early 80's). We drove to Mexico for a quick trip. Going to Mexico, we didn't even stop at the border. However coming back through, they stopped every car. They checked trunks and used those little mirrors on sticks to look under the cars. We were in an RV. So, one of the border patrol officers actually boarded the RV. He looked around and asked us to say "I am an American citizen". Back then, for minors that is all we had to do to cross the border. Even so, I was never so nervous in my life! Times sure have changed!

Does anyone know if other sites get together like DISers? I've been on c r u i s e c r i t i c s . c o m (like WIFamily, Beth and Wendy) it is not nearly as chatty as this one. Amberdaclown, I believe your husband is on that site too.

I spend a lot of time at the passporter board (I know a lot of people here have their cruise book), and I saw Stacy and maybe a few others there. But the cruise board is much slower than the Passporter WDW boards. I did meet one Passporter family on our last trip to Disney, we arranged to share a fireworks cruise, and that was fun. I have met "internet" people in other venues (I belong to a moms group, have for--8 or 9 years now) and haven't met an ax murderer yet! ;)
