08/08/07 Well, Olbia Monkey's Uncle! We're cruisin' on the 10nt Med Cruise!

wow it has been forever since I posted last. I have been so busy with moving and finishing up my internship and my job. I am so looking forward to this cruise because I probably won't get to do a Disney vacation until this one. My husband is going down in October with his family for the Not so Scary Halloween Party but I can't make it with my new job. Oh well. Anyway I am looking forward to meeting all of you aboard.

YAY!!! School is done (I made the dean's list!! YAY) and softball is done (coaching at least). Now all I have to do is concentrate on the wedding; that means dance lessons, flower girl dresses, tuxes, rings, and all that fun stuff and playing softball on 4 different teams and building our house! WHEW!!! What has everyone else been up to?

WOW!! You are busy busy busy. I remember the wedding planning days. My husband and I got married Oct 30, 2004. I love my day but I don't think I ever want to renew vows that way. A friend of mine told me this and I wanted to share it with you. On your wedding day don't rush. :bride: Take every opportunity to look and around and enjoy everything. It is only one day but everyone says it goes so fast, :hourglass and it does. I wish had listened to her a little more. It was a wonderful day and it was over sooo very fast.. But i just wanted to day good luck with planning you Cinderella princess: :tink: day.

Slowing down is great advice. I've already got so many people looking out for me and I'm pretty sure that they won't let me overdo it. ;)

Anybody hear anything Disney related lately? I really would like to know which CMs will be on the cruise, but I think that would be hard to find out.
I can still hope for Lucky Phil, Andy, Karen, and Belle, can't I?

Hi Magic cruisers !! My husband and I will be on the Aug 8, 2007 cruise, too.We are Castaway Cay members, and DVC members. We will be late seating, Cat 6. Look forward to chating with you during the year as the excitement mounts !! We will be in Barcelona Aug 5. Anxious to hear what everyone is doing about their AIR.....GINA :cloud9:

HI scrapy- WELCOME!!

giggles- did you ever let us know what category and state room you will be in for the cruise. There is a list of all of us on the first page and I want everyone to be included!

I think I told you but not sure so here it is. Marek and I will be late seating in catagory 10. We are on deck 2 so a little worried about the noise. However, there is always earplugs. :thumbsup2

Just checking in.

I am still around and crazy busy with work. On top of my work itself I am trying to move up into the marketing department at my job, so I am taking on extra projects to prove to them I am worthy.

Talk to you all soon.

Hello all-
I'm not sure how many days, but it sure is going fast- to me at least!

I'm watching America's Got Talent right now- it's produced by Simon Cowell- it's pretty funny! :)

According to the countdown on my computer we have 410 days and 17 ours before we have to leave for the airport. :cool1: But that might change as we are thinking about heading into Barcelona a few days early to see the city. I keep telling my husband we might as well as long as we are already going that far anyways. My friend is coming with us and she is all for going in a couple days early. I am already sooo excited. :cloud9: Wonder how I will be able to sleep the last week before we go. :eeyore:

I'M GETTING MARRIED IN 37 DAYS! I'M SOOOOO EXCITED! AHHHHHH! :rotfl: :woohoo: :yay: :bounce: :bride: :jumping1: YAY!!!!!!!

SORRY! I'M GETTING CARRIED AWAY!!! HOW IS EVERYONE!?

Hi I am just curious, what ports will you drop by during your Med cruise trip?

Terence

Terence, The ports that we will be going to are: Leaving from Barcelona Spain, Palermo Sicily, Naples Italy, Olbia Sardinia, Citvitavecchia (Rome) Italy, Le Spezia Italy, Marseilles Fance and Villefranche France.

Arica, I hope everything is going well and that you are enjoying yourself. I am excited for you. I am up to nothing good. Just work and more work, lots of over time though means more spending money in Italy :mickeybar :eeyore:

I have no ideas what to get my bridesmaids for gifts. I've already gotten them brooches to put on their dresses, but I wanted to get them something that they didn't HAVE to wear in the wedding...
I was thinking spa products (but that seems so overdone)
Or something from Tiffanys (but I'm not sure what)

Anyone out there have any ideas?

Arica,

What I did for my girls was I found a picture of me and each one of them (one was even from when we were kids) and I framed it in a cimple silver frame and had a caption that reminded me of each of them inscribed on the bottom. Then I picked out baskets for each of them that they could use later and inside the baskets I put the picture, a bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses. They were all really happy. I did different bottles of wine depending on the person so the glasses were a little different as well. Just a thought though. When my brother and my sister-in-law got married she got us girls a weekend stay a bed and breakfast that she liked alot. I was neat to try that as well. We had never been to a B&b before. Good luck....How is everything else going?

Those are some really great ideas!
Everything else is going really well. My final dress fitting is in 5 days and I go to NYC for my bachelorette party on the 13th. :)

The Med Thread

To compliment the specific sailing date threads there is now a group thread for all Mediterranean cruisers to pool their wisdom.

Just click on the Red link above. Happy sailing.

Hey everyone, just checking in. Hope you are having a good time in NYC Arica. I am counting down to my recently upcoming vacation to Tahiti I am very excited about it. Then I will focus all my attention on The Med cruise. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the summer. One more summer to go!

No one's had anything to say here in almost two weeks, so I'll make a contribution and introduce myself. I'm Corinnak's husband, so my cruise info is obviously the same as hers. My father - call him rstroth - is now also definitively booked to cruise with us. He doesn't read the boards, but you can add him to the list if you want. He's in a Cat 8 with late dining.

Looking forward to meeting you all in person in a little over a year!
