08/08/07 Well, Olbia Monkey's Uncle! We're cruisin' on the 10nt Med Cruise!

Below is a link to a survey I created to help us get the mind going as to what our group name is going to be. Arica could you put this on the front page since you have the first post?

Once I get enough responses I will post the results on the board.
How this survey works just so you're not confused after, it will take you back to the first page of this board when it was successful. Unfortunalty you cannot see the results instantly, but I am working on that. The results are saved and I can see them. So start brainstorming.

My wife speaks Hungarian, which her family is native to.

When I was younger, my neighbor had Hungarian exchange students from a jump robe team stay with them. The funny thing was I became better friends with them than she was. The only thing I manage to remember is: Vee-sant-la-tash-rah (That's me sounding it out). I believe that's goodbye?
I don't know, but I would write that in my diary everynight when I was finished! :lmao:

I can't make out that word, I know a little hungarian, and I keep getting nagged on by my mother-in-law to learn it. Even though I know I should it really is a hard language to get. After 8 years you would think I know a statement but nope

My best friend lived there for 6 months her junior year of high school and is fluent but thats not so helpful because she hates disney! i think she's crazy!

She is crazy! Only sane people like Disney :rotfl2:  :bounce:

I wanted to watch Beauty and the Beast with her, but she said she would cry and leave my house.

Speaking of which, what is everyone's favorite Disney movie?

Hello everybody,

since we live in Belgium we do speak Dutch and French since we have those two languages as native ones, and a little german too... And of couse there is English too...so we do speak some different languages... :cool1: If anyone ever needs some help in La douce France, pas de problème !

The only problem with that is that my DS (then 4 going on 5 ) will not know enough English to go to the Oceaneers Club I think..oh well, we'll see by then..

I've been taking french since I was a sophmore in high school (i'm now a sophomore in college) and I love speaking french and am hoping to have a french server to keep me going with the language. So if anyone wants to speak or type french with me... I'd love it. :thumbsup2

P.S. By the time of the cruise, I'll have some basic Spanish under my belt. Maybe that'll help in Barcelona. Who knows? :confused3

Wow!! Found this on the 3rd page. How is everyone?

Arica, I did 5 years of French during Junior and High School. I can't converse though. I think I might be able to get by with some phrases and a dictionary. My pronounciation is awful though!!

Meg'n'Walt ... I think the kids on the ship will be speaking the universal language of Disney! Your DS will probably come back from the cruise with a lot of new English words he picked up from his playmates. And his playmates will go home knowing words and phrases in Dutch and French!

James ... Happy Birthday!

DisneyPata ... how awesome that you and your friends are still meeting. I'm part of a group of 6 (we've known each other since grade school) and we get together 2 or 3 times a year for our Girl's Trips. Just had a weekend at a spa a couple weeks ago. We're now busy planning our trip for our 40th (going in 2009 while we're still 39) and heading to New York for a week. A long time away yet but lots of plans to make!! But we've talked about this trip for YEARS!!

I don't have any new Disney info ... always looking though!

Is our cruise almost full?

On the DCL website now categories 4 and 8 are gone. If you select any of the remaining categories then the only room available is GTY.
