Bethipooh4- I agree that we prob won't get our request. But I was on phone with DCL rep regarding our REAS arrangements, so I thought I would throw that in too. She put in our request and said normally she would call DCL personally the day before to confirm, but since she too will be on vacation , that won't be possible- oh well! So we will just go to Rockin bar D or whatever upon boarding to try to follow up on our main request for a table for just our family (trying to avoid a repeat of a very unpleasent experience our first sailing with an onoxoius couple) . Still working on that bag , it is coming along finally. I can't believe we leave a week from Sat!

I've requested rotations in the past, and never gotten it, so this time I didn't even bother...

same here. We have late seating and enjoy late. Especially on the day when it comes time to get off the ship.

Late seating for us. This is the first time.

Last two times we did early seating but that was 6 years ago.

We wore our dress clothes to the theater but we changed to shorts or slacks and comfortable shirts for the clubs afterward.

Formal night: DH and DS in suits, DD and myself in long dresses. I only asked that they have "nice" shirts for semi-formal night. My daughter has a beautiful black dress for semi-formal night but I am going the nice black pants with different tops routine to save space for my souvenirs. I am really trying to cut back on my packing.

I want to go now!!! but of course, I am not ready.

I think Bethipooh's DH & DS are going on the Disney version - but as Iggbees said our Crew (9 of us) are going on Ivan & David's tour.

We are going on D & I tour - but we are doing the tour plus lunch with the Mayan family. It looks fantastic! And yes, long sleeves and zip pants for us...I know about the heat and threat of rain, but am more concerned about bug bites.

Also, we are late seating. We like late seating. We are thrilled because all but one of the kids activites does not *start* at 8:30 like the last time we cruised. DD ate Room service almost the entire cruise b/c she wanted to do some of the special activities and they were all at 8:30. This time, they all (except for one) start around 6:30 or 7:00 and end around 8:30 rather than starting there. WHEW!

And we never requested a rotation. We just rely on the old rule APL for little ones, PLA 7 - 10 yr olds. LAP adults. We have been pretty sure the last few times we would get APL and we did, but now that DD is 7, we are unsure. We have prepared our options based on each contingency. (Super-plan much???)

We're going on the one offered by Disney...I tried talking the guys into going on David and Ivans...they decided to play it safe and know the ship will wait for them....

I think we all start out together and the different tours break up after the ruin tour. Does this sound right?

Since DCL is the only ship in port we are the only people using David&Ivan. Does anyone want to see if they could meet us (or some of us) at the pier? Another group mentioned arranging this. It would save the cabfare into town. We want to see the town, but would like to have some time to look around and shop. I'm sure that won't be possible before the tour, so we plan on heading into town after the tour (assuming there is time) What do you all think?

We are arriving on July 25th to do the Mayan Experience. It seems that there are rather a lot of us from the Disney Cruise ship doing your tour that day. We heard rumor that you might pick the tour group up at the dock rather than having everyone take their own cab to your location. Is this true? Would you be willing to do this and pick us all up at the ship?

If not, that is no problem. You will still see us all at the Cat's Meow. But I thought I would ask since there are a lot of us going from the Disney Cruise and I heard that it is the only ship in port, and we are all talking to each other.

Yes, Iceman is going with us along with Mrs.Iceman , and Volcumgurl. - they're part of our group of 9.
It would be great if they picked us up at the port! It would save us getting to the town. Sounds like alot of us would need to get there at the same time.

I'm glad everyone likes the idea of leaving from the port. From reading some reports it seems like you can lose alot of time waiting by the Cat's Meow.

so i've recently started riding my bike into work in hopes that i'll be fit for the cruise. i'm looking forward to renting some bikes at castaway cay. anyone else done it before? my sister and i are also going to do the stingray excursion one of the days there. i've heard it's pretty cool. what other excursions are people going on? maybe we can get another list going so we know if we're to expect seeing some new familiar faces on our other excursions?

Ok here is our list....I have it broken down day by day in a binder (told you, obsessive planning disorder)

Day 1 at CC- 2 teens doing the wildside tour
Monday-Sea Day nothing planned but Palo dinner at 8
Tuesday- Costa Maya: Chacchoben ruins(disney version) DH, DS and friend@ 8:15

Roodoll and DH and 2 friends: horseback @ 12:45
Me and DH: Rasual (sorry guys, not a group excursion )

Wednesday-Cozumel:
Dh and Ds reef snorkle @ 8:15
Me and DS, roodoll and DH: sub atlantis @ 12:50 (lets not discuss my nightmare on that one)

Thursday-Sea DayPalo Brunch @ 10:30

CC day 2: Stingray excursion x the 12 of us: 12:00-1:00

Boy, you're good! You recognized it right away! My DH wanted to have some fun with Iceman - so he wrote the blurb. I asked what it was, and he said don't you remember Star Trek & the Borg!!!

Roysbrew, nope, couldn't interest SuzyQ in the ruins tour so it's just my family of 4. Suzy's planning to enjoy our veranda if we don't make it back to the ship on time.

I suppose I could go back and figure this out, but how many of us are doing the short tour and how many are doing lunch? I can't believe I didn't book the lunch tour because it said a minimum of 7 and we were only a group of 4.

Yes, we have early seating (hi Gail ) I'll make sure to print you up an itinerary so you know where to be at all times.

We're not doing the ruins tour in Costa Maya. I'm planning on having an empty ship to enjoy for the morning (but I might try and get some laundry done ) then head into town and meet up with Pooh's Purple Pal and explore Majahaul.

In Cozumel we'll be learning to dive with Eagle Ray Divers. On our first Castaway day we'll be doing the Stingray's but I'm not sure of the time on that.
