07/22/2006 - The Oh-Seven Double-Deuce Double Dip Desperados!

Minnie33,

I also called and the girl acted like no one had ever asked that question before. I won't post them either in case anyone wants a surprise.

I rented POC I to watch again. The guyin the store said he didn't know it was in the store. Comes in goes back out. Turns out it was on the shelf but not checked back in. Good luck for me :woohoo:

Not only are the snorkel vests free and available at every lifeguard chair, but they are required. :sad1: Even if you are an experienced snorkeler with your own equipment, you need to wear a vest (can be uninflated) so the guards can keep track of you easier. It's a pain, but I totally understand the logic. :)

So did you find something to use on the verandah yet??? :woohoo: :lmao:

You know, I tried going to the vmk a few times, and playing, but I just couldn't figure it out. So I just quit.... :guilty:

Hello Everyone

can't beleive one more week before we set sail

My DD wants to see POTC - I know it's rated PG-13 - for those of you who have seen it, would it be appropriate for an 8 yr old?

Is it rated 13 due to language or content?

PD to all for a safe trip to Florida pixiedust:

More content -scary parts (similar to the skeleton sailor images from the first, also references to cannabalism). Also, if your child gets upset about "things" happening to main characters( don't want to say too much and spoil movie for anyone) you may want to see movie yourself first to decide if it would upset your child ( I know my 22yr DD and I were disappointed in how they left the story in the end in regards to one of the characters). We also felt this version had less humor and was "darker" than first, but just our opinion of course.

what is the vmk?

Vmk is Virtual Magic Kingdom....it is a online game, that takes place in Magic Kingdom, there is a fourm under just for fun. Very addicting, just ask PJ53 ;)

oh the website is just vmk.com....

i am CL_patchy in the game

I spoke to my SIL - and she said my niece, who is 8 went to see it as part of a birthday party. I thought she would be scared to death of Davy Jones & Crew - (she was always scared of everything) well my SIL said she liked it! Go figure!

COSTA MAYA DAVID & IVAN TOUR UPDATE

Here are our emails back and forth. Give your opinions please!

>>>Dear Karen,

Thank you very much for asking. It is true that some of the people who already have reservations confirmed with us have requested to be picked up at the port. In fact I received a list of names of the ones who might be interested. I can tell you that we certainly can arrange that, however, since the port is private there is a fee of $7USD per person we have to pay to have access to the port with our units and pick you up there. In this case our Mayan Experience Tour would have a cost of $75USD per person.

In the past we have negotiated a better rate for this service and we could get a lower fee since we decided not to use our units and use the ones from the port. It's been twice that we have been favored with a fee of $2USD per person, instead of $7USD.

What I mentioned the other person who contacted me, is that we would negotiate this fee again and that hopefully we will be able to offer you this service. We will know until next Monday if we can complete this deal.

I will keep you informed.
Very best,
Ivan Cohuo<<<<<

My response. I did it this way because cabs to the Cat's Meow are $3 USD per person, so $7 USD per person would be a rate hike for all of us. If it is $2, then it is a deal for all of us.

>>>>>>>Ivan,

Thank you so much for your response.

There are 28 people that we are talking with that are taking your tours. (I believe we are the only ones, 3 of us, who are going to go on to do lunch. We are very excited about this!)

Also, we heard that you would do a more kid-interactive tour with the kids in the group. There are 6 or more kids that we know of, and we would love to have you do this.

Did you mean that you will know an answer by July 17th or did you mean by July 24th, because we will not be able to communicate by email on July 24th.

If you can get the $2USD per person discounted rate, then we will do it, but if you can't and the rate is $7USD per person...don't worry about it and we will all find our way in cabs. You are kind to give us all this information. You are so great to be working with us like this! All 28 of us are very excited about doing your tours. We are happy to wait for your response.

Thank you again, you have been so helpful.

He answered back, and he will let us know on the 17th.

GoofyDisney,

I think your reply was perfect. My idea was to save a little time and the cab fare. If it will cost more it's probably not worth it.

Thanks for taking care of it for us.

Julie

In my last email, I thanked him for putting up with my questions. Seemed only fair! :dance3: :rotfl2:

Hope it works out for us all. Thanks for putting the plan together Julie!

Wow, if you don't check the board for one day, you have to catch up. ;) It reminds me of my family. Whenever we are about to see each other, we call about 10 times a day. My DH laughs and tells me we won't have anything to talk about when we see each other. :rotfl2: :lmao: Yeah, like that would ever happen. I think it is safe to say everyone is getting excited.

We leave in 4 days, the panic has set in again. Thought I had most of it together, but now, not so sure. Time is going by faster. I don't even know if we are going to be able to exchange bags. Can't seem to get mine together. :guilty: We will have to see.

Saw POCII on opening night...I personally wouldn't let a 8 year old see it, but that is my opinion. I'm sure some 8 yr olds would be fine...but none I know. Loved this one, (but who wouldn't with Capt'n Jack) but definately "darker" than the first. Would see it again though, and again, and again :rotfl:

Have a great weekend if I don't talk to ya'll. Happy thoughts to everyone traveling already. :)

Thanks for the POC replies. It's the "darker" part that has me worried. DD would like to appear very brave, but I think she'll be afraid. I won't tell her it's playing on the ship.

Yupeee only one week til sailing and I'm still not packed- panic is setting in :worried:

Gotta go- have a list of things to put together .....

Talk to you all soon

DD just joined me and would like to say hello (by using these lovely smiley faces of course) :bounce: :stir: :Pinkbounc :yay: :hourglass popcorn:: :woohoo: :grouphug:

Bummer! We leave Friday and I have to be on call Thursday night. We are going to have to pack ahead of time and will be a bit of a madhouse Friday morning to get to the airport on time.

I use a Word document set up like a Tabel with each day and each reservation and then I spice it up with clip art. One sheet of paper, with everything I need. :joker:

7 days to the Ship, We leave tomorrow night!

For some reason, I cannot find the answer to this question:

What time is the Palo Brunch?

We missed out on that and I wanted to know if I should try for it or would it conflict with a spa reservation I already have and I should just give up. :surfweb:

Thanks for the help

See you soon! :wave2:
