hey, we'll be on that trip as well. we are new to the dis boards. dh and i are early 40's, dd10 & dd14.

We are eagerly counting down to 6/24!!! If you get a chance, read back a few pages; you'll learn a lot! I can't tell you how helpful this has been for me. I've never cruised before and these posts have been invaluable!!!

I have a DD 10 too! She'd love to meet new friends--especially since it's just the two of going on the cruise!! Feel free to send a pm and we'll arrange for the girls to e-mail!!

My youngest DD is spending the night at a friend's house so we are going to go out for Chinese food. Yeah!!! My youngest hates Chinese food so this is our opportunity!

I also can't believe that the first double dip cruise is almost finished. Hope ours doesn't fly by so fast!

Hi all,
Been a while since I posted,
We had a rough few weeks. My mom died, and I put the cruise plans a little aside for a bit.

But I'm back in the planning and packing stages. I have my suitcases packed and sitting in the guest room.

Also, my oldest son has a new job, and won't be going with us on the cruise.
It will be DH, and DS (17)with me.

We thought this may happen, so we cancelled him out in time for a full refund.
He will be going with us to WDW june 21-24, we will take him to MCO, drop him off and head to the ship.

I guess I'll be getting the unlimited internet so I can keep in touch with him.
I'll also try to post live reports, I love reading these on the trip board.!

Are plans are still the jeep tour in Cozumel for the guys, the gal pals will go to paradise beach. Some of the Dis reviews have not been so good, but the cruise critic reviews are still terrific. I figure after reading about this place for 2 years, I have to go!

Costa Maya I am still going with David and Ivan, and DH and DS are going to Cat's meow. then we are all trying to go to Chac Chi if we can find the hole in the fence and the water isn't too rough.

Finished packing my cruise crate, and went to Michael's today for a white photomat and sharpies to drop off at guest services ( instead of the pillowcases) I hope to get a great picture for it and frame it. Saw this on another thread, and it looked great!!

Can't wait to see all of you at the dis sail away party!!

I have been watching the availaibility on our ship, and it is slowly filling up. Last time I checked there were only 2 categories left. I wonder how close to sold out we will be?

Bairdbeth, thanks for reminding me about getting those baskets ordered. I couldn't decide if I wanted to do 2 (1 for each kid) or 3 (one for kids and DH!) Just a surprise for each of them, but I think I may go with 1 for each kid. Decisions, decisions! LOL!

Ours will first go to the travel agent and then to us... soon, very soon! I can't wait!

When I read the live posts about the Pirates movie, I read it as they saw "previews" of the second movie, not that they saw the preview opening of the film. We are just one week before, so maybe we have a chance...

disgal1, sorry to hear about your mom. Hopefully you will be able to relax on the cruise, I am sure it has been stressful. DD17 is the same age as your son and she is outgoing, so she can help him meet people if he is worried about his brother not being on the cruise. DS14 is always there for some basketball, ping pong or arcade games!

Maybe we will see you at WDW…we are at SSR from June 18-24!

Doing my best to get us to 100 pages while we wait for our cruise docs.

Lorie, I hope you are not upset...I just looked and I did the last few posts with no picture thingies! I will work on that.

Congratulations to all the teachers who are getting done for the summer! DH is done at the end of next week.

I am thinking about baskets from Shirley for DH, DD17, DS14. What kinds of things would you suggest? I don't have a clue.

Just read the last live report from the ship. It made us sad that their cruise was ending, but happy that ours it that much closer.

Doingitagain- Just call Shirley. She will help you with what to put in the baskets. I really didn't know either for the one in 2004 and for this time. She was so helpful! The one from 2004 was perfect!
Well, I've caught a cold or some virus and have a fever and cough so it is off to bed. Better that I caught it now then in a couple of weeks when we would be leaving for WDW!!!
