BethA Congratulations on graduation!!
So sorry to hear about your dog I too have been there, and it is so hard. I agree with bairdbeth about rainbow bridge. I found a website that put my dogs picture on a beautiful laminate copy of rainbow bridge. We framed it, and made a beautiful album of pictures of him from over the 16 years. We put his collar and tags on the frame, and it sits in our family room/
that really helped us all.

The cruise will come at a good time for you.

Darn--I was just ready to respond--Buddy Bear-we are in the Roy suite on June 24--have you had it before? It's amazing.

Our docs arrived today --had been sent to TA and sent to us priority mail.

Actually No, we usually sail in a cat 4, 5 or 6 depending on price and availablility. I requested a Cat 1 almost 2 years ago and got the call last July that The Roy was available for our date.

Since I do all the planning and my family just enjoys our vacations I haven't told them yet; it is a surprise. I have it planned so they won't find out until the day we sail. The only giveaway I will run into is the luggage tags which I plan to hold onto. They still think we are in a Cat 6

We are driving down so my family won't see the tags until our sail date. Since they don't know the ship like I do even if they see the stateroom number they won't associate it with The Roy. I will just tell them that our TA probably just upgraded us to a Cat 4 again.

I would like some feedback on the layout of the room. It appears the room next to the master bedroom has two doors so whomever sleeps in that room will have some privacy...I hope. My MIL may stay in that room which is why I am asking.

BethA-so sorry about your dog. We had to put our cat of 17+ years to sleep, and I was amazed at how difficult it was, even dh cried. But I knew it was best for her, she was soooo old and only weighed 4 lbs. Even 2 years later, I get a bit teary-eyed.

Maj. Beach-we usually eat at Parrot Cay, we like to eat outside on the deck. But will it be too crowded????

BTW-even if you're not going to Maj. Beach-come and join us!!!!

Maj. Beach info-Ok, I was just reading the report. Here's what I found out.

45 min. massage for $20. Those of you with massages scheduled for CC, might want to re-think!!!

Waverunners-$35 per 30 min.

Pretty soon the pre cruise panic will start, and for sure someone will get sick with a sore throat! Just a matter of who it will be!

If anybody feels like they are getting sick while on the cruise, just search us out. We usually bring enough medicine to go around. DH has already started to bring home samples to bring with us.

BethA - Congratulations on the graduation! Sorry to hear about your dog. It must be hard on the whole family.

No, I booked directly through DCL on an earlier cruise. Disappointed the docs didn't show up today!

My docs did come! We had to go out to dinner as we hadn't been to the grocery in a week! As we were leaving I saw something against the front door. I backed up and made DD get out and get it. DCL sent it straight to me and not the TA?! The UPS guy didn't knock or anything? Don't know how long they were sitting there so forlorn and lonely. But we got them now!!
Not much to them as I filled out all forms on line. These luggage tags look much more secure than the last one's in 2004. One of ours fell off last time, but my name was on the bag so they found us. I really cant wait now!

We just got home from apool party that a local radio station does for children who send in an A paper from school and they pick out of the pile. They call it the Junior Genious, and both of our boys were selected. It was a little cold at only 70 degrees , but the kids had a blast . Waiting for the warm weather on the cruise.

Anyway when I got home, I looked inside the door and there were my cruise docs.

BethA, sorry about your dog. We have 2 cats that are getting up there in age and are really wooried about losing them.

Only 2 weeks and 2 days until we begin our drive to Florida !!!

All have to be present to get a ticket
DCL excursions 1st
You can save seats for others, but they must be present when the tickets are handed out.
Bring your stuff with you, as you leave from the theater to the tenders.

SuJo, I just ordered a cruise basket for DD10 from Shirley at The Perfect Gift. She couldn't be nicer!!!! I wasn't sure what to get for my girl who's between little and teen (and it can change multiple times in one day ). Shirley asked me a couple of questions about DD and started making recommendations. She was able to put together what I think will be the PERFECT GIFT (get it ) for her!!! And it was VERY reasonable!!

Lorie, thank you for making the details/decisions on Maj. Beach!!! We had scheduled to go on the 4x4 Jeep safari, but we're seriously reconsidering because this sounds like a lot of fun!! And I am just compulsive enough that I like to have the details!!!! So a HUGE thank you for do that!!!!

BethA, like everyone before me, I am so sorry! And like I said to JillPie, are there enough drinks with umbrellas in them to get through a graduation ceremony in the pouring rain?!!?

BairdBeth - my DD has been e-mailing your DD!! Thanks for helping to arrange that. She is getting even more excited about this. BTW, I noticed you've dropped a couple more pounds. WAHOO!!

I am glad to hear someone else is doing the Catamaran....I did read a lot of posts on how great it is and my boss just got back today from the May 27 and he said the people that went on it could not stop talking about!! I think the Fury will be a good excursion worth the money!!

Hey everyone- School is OUT!!! Yesterday was the last day with kids and today was the last teacher's day. Now I am ready to cruise!!!!! My college roomie and I are booked on the Fury Catamaran Sail and Snorkel. The 3rd Edition of Passporter says that they serve lunch, but for a price. It suggests that food is about $8 per person. It also said that the food was good. The excursion is rated a 10 out of 10, so it must be good. The navigators from last weeks cruise says that we meet at 8:30am, I think. Now that I said that, I can't remember for sure. We get special priveledges (that does not look like it is spelled right. Oh well, I am a special ed. teacher, not an English one!) for tendering with the excursion.
My college roomie is getting our docs from Costco where she booked us. So I have not heard for sure if they are here or not. We were upgraded and excited, but come to find out it is a handicapped room with only one bath containing only a shower and no bathtub. We asked to have our old room back. Upon checking our reservation online, we found out that they have not switched up back. Costco is dealing with it for us and does not think it will be a problem. I hope not. I just would like the split bath with a bathtub. Anyway, as long as we are on the ship, we will be happy!
