05/24-05/31/14 - The Disney Fantasy, (Bob) Marley and Me on The FANTASTICAL VOYAGE!

Happy halloween!pirate: another holiday down our cruise will keeps getting closer!

Thanks for your report! We are interested in this. How much does it cost? Where you in the water with them or did you stand on a deck? Can you post a photo?

Sue, the cost for this one through DCL is $95 for adults and $89 for kids. I know other people used third-party vendors, for a lot less, but I'm not sure if they went to this same location, or somewhere else. Yes, you get in the water with the dolphin, there is one in each area with each group. I will definitely share a photo, after I get back home. We are in Ohio this weekend, spending a weekend away with friends. :)

Just found out that hubby has a conference in Orlando in February, so we're going to get to make an unscheduled trip to DW! This will only be my 3rd visit, 1st being a DISer, and all this info on FP & FP+ is overwhelming me. I don't want to over schedule the visit, and we'll only get to spend a couple of days in the parks. Hoping that in February lines won't be too bad. Anyone have any experience there during this time of the year?

John, could you possibly adjust our cabin again and remove DSIL? We're on our own the girls and I! My mom and sister are two cabins down though!

Have gone to conferences at WDW in late Jan/early Feb for 18 years. Very light crowds, cool weather, fun to see the locals in down parkas when temps dip below 60F. My favorite time to visit if I don't plan on swimming - although sometimes the days were in the 80's and you could take a dip. Can ALWAYS sit in the hot tubs! I'm guessing President's week might be a little more crowded.

First day back at work after Fantasy Eastern cruise and two nights at Villas at the Grand Floridian.

Here's a quick trip report, please save your questions until the end . . .

Cruise was great. While getting a manicure (yeah . . . go ahead and laugh, but my nails look great), I talked to the manicurist about Jamaican tours, what to do and what NOT to do. She said DEFINITELY don't plan on hanging out at the port in Falmouth. Horrible place to be. Said Mystic Mountain is fun with the zip lines and bobsled run. Or hit anything at Montego Bay or Ocho Rios.

New menu items, so a little bit of a change. More duck - mmmmmm! No more Popcorn Soup. Had dinner at Palo and MAN, that Chocolate Souffle is outrageous! Had a wonderful time there.

We did the Wine/Chocolate tasting. Four drinks paired with chocolates (and parmagiano reggiano cheese). Champagne, red wine, port and Whisky. Got a bit of a chocolate lesson and really saw how the chocolate changed the perception of the drinks and how the drinks changed the taste of the chocolate (or cheese). We enjoyed that tasting a lot.

Went to Orient Bay (St Martin) on our own and had a nice day on the beach. Had planned to do the Sea Trek Helmet Dive excursion on St Thomas, but cardiologist said no exertion (after having a stress test just before leaving). I think he was just being cautious, but didn't want to push it. So we just booked a massage for that day.

Stayed up late to watch the premier of Thor. It started at 12:01am Thursday night/Friday morning and ran until 2:00am. Didn't stay through the credits, so missed the stuff at the end. They ran the premier in 3D in the Walt Disney Theater and in 2D in the Buena Vista Theater.

The ship was decorated for Christmas, but seemed to be low key.

Had some rocky seas, even our stateroom hostess was affected. Pam took her Dramamine and felt good. I don't take anything and had no problem. Slept well with the rocking. Pam did take a spill getting out of Satellite Falls when the ship pitched while she was taking a step. HUGE bruise on her, um, derriere. Bruised her elbow and hurt her wrist, but the wrist was fine a day later.

Villas at the Grand Floridian are beautiful. Nice to see the parks getting decorated for Christmas, but it DOES seem awful early. It was the first time our travel companions saw the Osbourne Lights, so it was neat to watch their faces when the lights were lit.

Once I get home tonight, I'll start working on the pictures and if there's anything interesting I'll post it.

I'll answer any questions now . . . Yes, you in the back with your hand raised . . .

Thanks for the trip report John :). Now onto the REALLY important stuff.......our cruise in 191 days :cool1:. Oh, I do have one question :wave2:, did you use the Fantasy Navigator app? If so, did you find it handy/useful?

Thanks for the trip report John :). Now onto the REALLY important stuff.......our cruise in 191 days :cool1:. Oh, I do have one question :wave2:, did you use the Fantasy Navigator app? If so, did you find it handy/useful?

Kathy:

Yes, I used the Navigator app, but not as much as I thought I would. Mainly because I didn't carry my phone around with me. Mostly I used it to see the menu for the night's dinner so I could salivate all day thinking about it (or not worry about filling up beforehand if the menu didn't have much I liked). Never did try the deck plans as we know our way around pretty well. I think if you are looking to get pictures with characters, it would be really useful. Especially if you want to know who will be out TOMORROW or later that week.

Connectivity was pretty good. I didn't take notice of where there were problems. Mostly I just noted that sometimes it would take quite a while to update.

Lol sorry- me (dad) Kelly 34 with my wife Jessica 32 and my son Ethan 11 (12 at time of sailing) I have to get back on the room numbers. I think I'm on 7. We also have my father in law and girl friend in another room as well. Robert and Shirley. Ages not known. Thanks!
Ok the rooms are 7021 for me. 7023 for my father in law. Thanks again! Not going to be doing fe this time...

Well, I'm doing some catch up on the boards!!! I've updated your information on page 1.....

Thanks for the additional info!

Hey there! We are a little late in the game getting on here. But can't wait!! We'll be doing 5 nites at OKW after the cruise.

A few words about you and your group:We tend to not participate too much in group events, but love being able to see folks we "know" on board!

65PattL.F staterm.#8534 will be saing 5/24/2014 on the Fantasy. This will be my 6th Disney cruise.I hope to attend the meet;can't wait to see you all there!:cloud9:Oh,yes how do we make FE and do we get a gift for every one in the room?

Hi, Patt. I've got your information added to page 1, but will not display for the next hour or so. After that, please review, as there is more information I can add....are you traveling with others in your stateroom? Your entry says 'we', and while I tend to overanalyze things, I want to make sure your profile info is correct. Thanks, and WELCOME TO THE GROUP!!!

We just wanted to get added to the group.

Prior Disney Cruises: this will be our first
A few words about you and your group: This will be our first Disney Cruise!! We are excited. We wanted to go when the kids were old enough to participate and remember. We are celebrating our 10th anniversary (actually in July but because of pricing, weather, schedules we booked for May).

I've got you added to page 1, and you should be able to view it in an hour or so (mass updates to be made!!!). Since this is your first Disney cruise, and you have young ones, I do want to alert you to an advantage with late dining----it's called Dine and Play. Essentially, your servers get your childrens orders RIGHT AWAY, food delivered, and then attendants from the kids clubs retrieve the kids from the dining room and take them for play time, and it allows the adults some dining time! We travel as a HUGE family, so we all value the late dining, and it allows the kids to play that much more and zonk out later! We had little ones falling asleep at the table when they didn't participate in the Dine and Play. Options, options!

:welcome:

Thanks for adding us! I'm 40, my mom is 65. We will be in 8534 and would like to participate in FE. We have second dining rotation.:)

Well, I think I've pieced together that your mom is Patt, of username PattPug! Either that, or you and your mom are sharing a room with another 65-year old female!!! :rotfl:

Please take a look at your profile in an hour or so (mass updates being made), and let me know of any further changes. Appreciate it!

We thought it might be nice to add to the FE notes that the staterooms for deck 2 can only be accessed by the mid or forward elevators and stairs. There are rounded passage ways, both starboard and port, by the mid elevators that take you to the staterooms. It can be a bit confusing if you don't know how to get to them. The passage ways are just a bit forward of the Enchanted Garden entrance.

I forgot to include the date of our anniversary -May 27th- when we joined the group. We are looking forward to meeting everyone!

I added the May 27th date to your profile on page one....although I am behind and working entries in order, I'm sure John acted on your suggestion regarding delivery of FE gifts and the access notes. Great suggestion, thanks!

Mine and my wife's anniversary is the same day, although we are just hitting our 25th!

We would like to be added to the group. This will be our second cruise on the Fantasy. First trip was 2-9-13/ 7-night Eastern Caribbean. Those traveling include myself, Fayla (38), DH Noble (37), DD Caroline (11), DS Grayson (9). We will be in stateroom 6100. We will have late Dinner seating. Would like to participate in FE.

:welcome:

Got you added to page one!!!

Updates should show up in the next hour or so!

Hi, sorry, but I am not going anymore in this cruise, because we change the day, have a wonderful cruise!!!

Gosh, I hate removing people from the group!!! Alas, I hope your rescheduled cruise is as great as this one will be!!! Take care, and safe travels!

Hi, I am new to posting. I was looking up how to join a fish extender group for the cruise and came across your thread. I hope we can do that here! Please let me know what we should do. We did not do FE on our last cruise. Thx!
