Since off ship is at 7:30 I would guess we would be entering the gate around 6:00 going pass the furlongs and then under the bridge! We will get to see commute traffic! When we leave on Saturday since it is during the day there is likely to be lots of folks standing on the bridge waving us out to the Pacific!

Wishing all of you a wonderful cruise. We are Disboard fans who live in San Francisco. I was just leaving a message on the thread for our next cruise on the Wonder in October and thought I 'peak' at the thread for those of you bringing the Wonder to my city for the first time.
I see you have plenty of locals on the thread to give you advise but I thought I'd drop off a couple of images we made to use as door magnets on the PC cruise. Also, a website for 1/2 adventures for the day you will be here (sorry if you already have seen this). Hope you all have a wonderful trip!!

Many happy couples choose to hold their weddings in the lagoon at our Palace of Fine Arts. Our friends, Ariel and Eric just love the location, halfway between the Golden Gate Bridge and Fishermans Wharf. They go just for the halibut and skip the Flounder.

Mickey & Donald are just getting back from the cheese cellars in wine country. Donald wants to go swimming in Aquatic Park, but Mickey is cuckoo for hot cocoa from Ghirardelli Square.

You'll never guess who we ran into at Chinatown's Dragon Gate at Grant Street! Yes, Mulan and Captain Li Shang! They were shopping for a cricket cage at Ancient Treasures, but Mushu set off a string of firecrackers. A little later we heard police sirens, and we all decided to go jogging to Golden Gate Park.

It was sunset near the Bay Bridge when a young guy in a small ship sailed. "Where away Alcatraz," he called. We pointed north. He said his boys wanted to vist "The Rock". We invited them to join us at the Buena Vista Cafe for Irish Cofee. Later, Peter sailed into Aquatic Park.

North Beach Pizza always gets crank calls to deliver three anchovy pies to Pier 39. But last week this raspy voice called the Buena Vista Cafe near Ghirardelli Square and said to drop off 3 pots of Italian roast at Slip 626.

The strangest dream... I was soaring over California, near my San Francisco home, and decided to zoom and dive in the breeze about Aquatic Park, Fishermans Whaf, and Alcatraz. But then I saw this ship that made me Wonder; Was this Magic, a Dream or do I just live in the happiest city on Earth?

Here is San Francisco, people are just Goofy about riding the cable cars. Sometimes we'll ride one to Fishermans Wharf to get a Ghirardelli's Chocolate milkshake.

we were wondering if anyone who was coming to Los Angeles early was interested in seeing Walt's Carolwood Pacific Barn and riding on my train on Saturday the 23rd? I have a 1/8th scale engine and it is co-located with Walt's barn at the Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum. Being a member at the museum, the place is open to me anytime and I can coordinate with some of my friends to have the barn opened just for us to see the displays of Walt running his engine at his home. It would probalby have to be either mid morning or mid afternoon so the traffic is not too bad. The Museum website for those considering coming over is www.lals.org The facility is about 40 minutes north of DL off the 5 freeway. PM me if interested.

I am guessing we'll be under the bridge between 6 and 6:30. I don't know if I'll get up on deck to watch, but isn't that what a private balcony is for?
As we head out to sea on Saturday I will be very disappointed if the Captain doesn't sound the horn as we pass under the bridge.
And I really hate to say it, but I have a very real fear that something about Disney will be a draw to potential jumpers - the contrast between the misery they currently feel and childhood innocence could be a catalyst for action.
Sadly, the Golden Gate Bridge is the most popular place in the world to commit suicide. So as we approach look for people climbing over the rail and be ready to distract your children.
So far it is looking like 2:30 pm or 3 pm on the 23rd would be a good time for anyone wanting to visit the Barn. Again PM me if intersted and we will coordinate everything.

Stupid question for everyone...do you ever pack perfume and cologne?

THis sounds fun but I'm not sure if we can squeeze it in. We don't arrive at LAX until 12:00 and then we need to get to the Grand Californian to check in. One never knows about traffic!
I am thinking it would be cutting things to short, but then I always try to squeeze every drop out of life that I can!![]()
If it would be easier on everyone else, and if we could get more folks to come, we can push the start time back to about 6:00 pm? Would this work better for everyone? There are also some great places to eat in the area if we all wanted to do dinner afterwards. Let me know, the guys and I are flexable.
We'd love to go if you could push it back till evening.. We don't get into LAX until 3:30pm, then have to get to VGC and check in too. What would be a good way to get there? Maybe a couple of us staying at the DL resorts could share a cab/van or something? Or is there public transportation available??
