03/29/08, March 29, 2008 Eastern Magic - Who else?

The problem with predicting weather in south Florida and father south is that throwing darts at a dart board blindfolded may give you better odds as to whether you will be under the part of sky that has those 30% rainclouds. In most of the country, 30% of rain means just that...there is a 30% chance that it will rain...generally down here, 30% means it will rain in about 30% of the places.

And as to my wife's earlier post, she does have to go back to the Daytona area on Thursday, but this time she gets to fly.

OK, I went ahead and started the "live" thread a few days early so that there will be a place to post, other than here, for those who wish to do so. One of these days, I need to figure out how to bold the title line...oh well...in the meantime, the thread is up.

Chuck:cool1:

Chuck,
Bolding is an easy one.
1. Type your title
2. Highlight your title
3. Click on that Bold B below th title box or above this box.

Does that make sense.

Happy bolding.

If you want to fix it now. Choose Edit for that post then Go Advanced and the title bar will come up.

Funny everyone is talking about FCAT. When we got our kitten years ago the kids wanted to name her FCAT. Thought that would not be a good idea on several levels. Lynn

**ATTENTION ALL TEACHERS!!!**

:teacher:

Rumor has it that a production crew will be onboard filming a documentary called "Teachers Gone Wild..."

so ya'll better behave...:rolleyes1

Also, the use of letters (either spoken or written) in the form of FCAT are hereby banned from the cruise.

STEVE!!!!! You are tooooooo much! :teacher: = :hyper2:

:teacher: **ATTENTION ALL TEACHERS!!!** :teacher:

Since Steve let the proverbial FCAT out of the bag about "Teachers Gone Wild", we might as well have a pre-production get-together. All teachers, their significant others and those with like-minds come join in some merriment & conversation at 2:11 at the Cove Cafe this coming Sunday as teachers let their hair down and "go Disney" !pirate: If you have any questions, feel free to PM me until this Wednesday, or contact me in cabin "6154" Sat or Sun. See you there you wild bunch!! DinghyDeb

This thread has picked up nicely...w/one more post from Pooh and Tinker, there will be 15 avatars w/10 or more posts each...hopefully this will progress to seeing some of the folks on the boat...I am always the easiest to spot, simply b/c i am the tallest at 6'8 1/2"...and i think my wife will be making me wear a matching Tshirt, although this one will actually be white and i will undoubtedly have cut off the sleeves...but since it bears my name.....well figure it out...LOL

Steve I know you are joking about the film crew for the "Teachers Gone Wild," but there really will be a film crew on board and they will be filming.

I may need to rethink the "cabana wear" I'll be bringing on board...may have to leave the white polyester, knee length socks worn with shorts and penny loafers at home...

ps this is not us....

I say bring the outfit......I think you will be guaranteed not to be picked as a "featured guest" :rotfl:

So i made yet another error. I did not have the right names for the adults under Daytonamom2. So here it is. I think it is now mistake free

I will post our cruise list later tonight for those that are getting ready to leave. I suspect I might be one of the last to leave home so probably last to print as well.

Cruise Meet
We will be Deck 10 portside above the Goofy Pool (Look for the two 6ft 8 guys)

Port
In the port look for the two 6 foot 8 guys and congragate :grouphug: around them. Or listen for the loud laughter if we can coax Steve into doing a warm-up for his stand up comedy routine.

For those of you with FE's you may want to think about zip ties to secure them to the Fish. I will have a package with me for those that need one and forget (that is as long as I do not forget). We have three cabins with embriodered FE's so they will be zipped onto those fish for added security.

If you are brining beverages on board make sure they are in your carry-on luggage. Anywhere else and they may not make it to your stateroom.

That is all I can think of....anyone else??

Thanks Michelle for the change in the Fish extenders. I didn't live having to put my age on the main list in the first but then if everyone called me FIFTY all wekk:mad:

We will not leave until Saturday morning also. If any one needs anything please let me know. I know I will be making that last shopping run Friday night. Plus I have a CVS stash. Lynn

ok this :yay: :yay: :yay: is pretty much all I can do right now I am sooooo mentally checked out!

We will be at the meet on deck ten! We pulled out the suitcases yesterday and started some laundry to make sure that everything we want to take is clean. DH pulled out his suit and it needs to go to the dry cleaner. We haven't actually put anything in the suitcases yet LOL, I bet we are soooo far behind everyone else.

woo hoo!

just found out that an audit I was supposed to participate in this week has been postponed ....

and a project I've been involved with, which was scheduled for the week after the cruise, has been pushed up to the week of the cruise....so I don't have to worry about that either!

Steve - looks like you forgot your belt (or suspenders)!

Hi guys, been a while since I posted. Nursing school has been the death of me and I really can't wait to get this vacation started!

This will be the first time we have driven to south Florida, and I wondered if there is anything I need to know before we leave on Saturday morning? I have heard that there is sometimes construction in the area, which requires detours and all kinds of headaches. I figure traffic will be pretty thick since it will be spring break. We are giving ourselves about 11 hours to make the usually 8 hour trip so I really hope we get there in ample time.

I did have another question about the parking garage at port. Is there a shuttle or something that runs you to the ship from the garage?
