03/29/08, March 29, 2008 Eastern Magic - Who else?

Hi Cruisecrzy Thanks for the update on the Fish Extenders. Now that FCAT is over we can start getting stuff done. Off to find the suitcases. Lynn

Thank you, Michelle, for all the work you've put into the meet and for your vast knowledge. May your day be filled with pixie dust! :wizard: DD

Thanks soooo much for all the updates you have done on both list & all the info you have provided.

This is our 2nd cruise and we are so excited to meet everyone and get the party started! party:

I know you have friends that are crew members on board. What can I bring to them besides candy. Any ideas.

Also has anyone heard any more about the rotation change?

Counting down the days. We are off from school Friday so I need to get everything done before the kids are home. Lynn:cool1: :cool1:

Lisa or Chuck had a great suggestion. If you do not have time then just hang a cute little bag outside the door. That would make a great FE and perfect for putting little presents in.

thanks that sounds good... printing the list now so we can get started.
thanks pooh...

So here it is folks. I can email the list to anyone that needs it. I have it jpeg, .pdf, and .psd :thumbsup2

Sorry to tell you this... but our room # is 5650 not 5656

When the kids are in the lab and club, do they wear shoes or do I need to pack some socks? My kids are not big on tennis shoes, they like those teva type sandals (and seem to run around in them just fine) - but dont wear socks with them, and if disney has a shoe or sock policy, I need to redue some of my packing! thanks

Michelle-

Thanks for all of your hard work!! :thumbsup2 Please email the fish extender list to Chuck as .pdf. Thanks again!! :cool1:

Dana-

The kids will need to wear shoes in the lab/club, but socks are not required. Some of the activities are up on the sports deck, so as long as they can run in their sandals w/o getting hurt, it will be fine.

Anyfood items are great...candy, cookies, granola bars etc. Most of them shop or get their pictures developed at Wal-Mart at one point or another. Now if you want the card to go specifically to them and not to all of the Youth staff or whatever then put their name on the card. If there name is on the To line of a gift card they are usually able to keep them. One of our friends got a bottle of wine from a guest....but I am not sure I would try and bring the wine on board. A lot of them also go to Best Buy at times. My mom asked one of my friends when she was here in July and she said Crew Internet Cards or more valueable then a phone card since the phonecards can only be used if they get off their floating home. But I am not sure how to get one of those....but we are going to figure it out.

Thanks to TiggerLuv who caught my mistake on the FE list. I will update that tomorrow.....I somehow deleted the children from the CarlonsofVeroBeach. I will fix it and repost.

Good morning everyone!!

Well, one week from today we will all be waking up on the Magic!! :thumbsup2
I was reading a few different threads this am. There were posts from people who just got off an eastern magic yesterday. It seems that the seas were very rough b/w St. Thomas and CC. Please remember to bring whatever sea sick medicine works best for you.

There was also a "debate" as to why the ship was late to cc (arrived 11 am). One poster said engine issues and another said weather issues. However, the Magic was able to dock at CC and stayed an hour later in the afternoon!! :thumbsup2

Finally, the dining rotations were the regular rotations and Pirate night was tuesday on this eastern. There was another post that a passenger sailing an eastern in April called DCL to check on the night for Pirate night for his eastern magic and was also told that in April pirate night would be tuesday.

That's all the new info for now!!

I hope everyone has a great week getting ready for the Magic!! :cool1:

This past friday I drove from Ft. Lauderdale to Daytona Beach and back (500 miles) in one day for a mediation. :confused3 :scared1: Unfortunately, I may need to do the same trip this thursday for the trial. The only good part of the trip was seeing the signs for the port exit while I was on I-95!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I've been reading posts about GinGin chews (ginger candy) work well for seasickness. Well I know ginger works for nausea. In fact, after finishing up at the salon, I was out shopping for more fe's and last minute cruise items as well as things for DS & DDiL and I became extremely nauseaous and dizzy. There was a World Market nearby and I stopped in to buy some GinGin chews. One candy (4 carbs for fellow diabetics) and the nausea and dizziness was gone! I highly recommend purchasing some for the cruise. Of course, I'll still take my patches, but in rough seas, even the patches are iffy with me. They also make giner altoids now and ginger is supposed to be safe during pregnancy.

Lisa, just make sure that you don't take the PC exit and leave Chuck & Mason back in Weston :rotfl2:

I purchased the finishing touches for my FE. If it turns out, I will be VERY PROUD of it. :yay: So everyone, when you visit DinghyDeb's FE at 6154, remember I am not a craftsy person (crafty maybe) :rolleyes1

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the pre-sail away meet.:grouphug:

So last March instead of a pillowcase I made half a quilt top and had it signed by the characters. I made the second half for this cruise and have put it all together. Here is a picture of the finished product.

I also finished my new pirate shirt tonight so the sewing is basically done now.

Rumor has it that a production crew will be onboard filming a documentary called "Teachers Gone Wild..."

so ya'll better behave...:rolleyes1
