Michelle you are AWESOME!! Thank you so much for keeping/creating the lists for us and keeping us on track.

I have to work every night until we leave so I've made my lists and DH is doing a great job crossing things off and doing all the chores. I am so ready for this trip and some sunshine!

Tomorrow I'm heading to the $ store and target for more FE gifts. It has been so much fun picking out things! My DB and his family are so excited! I haven't told them about the FE and can't wait to see my nephews faces when they find their goodies. I think they will have a good time passing out their goodies too!

Hi. We are on the same floor as you. My daughter is 11 going to be 12 the week we come back and is in 6th grade which is middle school here in Florida. The kids their age sometimes hang out in Ocean Quest which is midship right near your room. Lynn

We will be staying in Jacksonville the night before. Plan on being at the port around 10:00. I'll have Steven there as early as possible so he can start entertaining everyone to pass the time away till we bored. One week to go.

OK, I have not been on much the past few days due to a very busy schedule. Lynn, I think Lisa answered your dinner link question by PM, but I was just not able to get that going early enough this time...rest assured it will be in place for the Gang's return in 2009 for Turkey Week.

For motion sickness, although we are not prone to it, we just take bonine 24 hour before we get on the boat and then daily...no problems through 4 cruises.

As for FE's, you can always get one off ebay w/expidited shipping, but you can also hang a couple of bags there too if you do not have time to get an FE.

Plenty of places to use your laptop for those who asked...mine will be present...again.

As Lisa noted a couple pages back, the REAS folks advised me that Pirates night on the eastern is still tuesday, but who knows? The reality is that although the schtick in the restaurant is cute, it is of relatively short duration, especially compared to the show itself later...while it would be nice to do both pirates night and Palo's, I would not recommend missing Palo's just for the dinner in the restaurant...if you are quick, you can evn change between dinner and the show...

Also, your chance of changing the Palo night once onboard, or even now for that matter, is fairly slim...However, what you can do w/a greater likelihood of success is once onboard if pirates night does conflict w/your Palo reservation, you may be able to move the reservation to anearlier time by 30-60 minutes, which is what we did over Thanksgiving when they switched Pirate's night without announcing it in advance to give the crew extra shore leave in Mexico.

Also, this thread has finally gained some momentum towards the end here...of course quite a ways to go to match the 2500 posts we had for Thanksgiving, but much better than the very slow start...we have ended up making many friends that we have seen and communicated with (and still do) from people we have met thru Disboards....The 2009 Turkey Day gang thread is off to a good start, about 325 posts and about 6000 views and we still have 20 months to go, but there will be a lot of cabins taken, including all 6 secret porthole cabins, from those who we sailed with on the 2005 and 2007 cruises...

Greetings to all the new posters! One week to go Woo Hoo! We are half way packed. It seems that the clothing is the easy part - it's the "essentials" that take forever to pack and take up so much room! I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you. Planning on doing my last minute shopping tomorrow after I get my cruise-do. DH got his last night. Next week is going to be very hectic for me as I'm sure it will be for many, so if I don't see you/your posts before we cruise, I wish you Godspeed and a safe journey to Port Canaveral. We will be flying into Orlando Saturday morning. Should arrive between 8:30 - 9am, so as soon as the Disney bus can get us to the port, we will be there.

Lisa or Chuck had a great suggestion. If you do not have time then just hang a cute little bag outside the door. That would make a great FE and perfect for putting little presents in.
