Thank you! My party consists of my Husband (Woody), my 11 year old daughter (Brooke), my 6 year old daughther (Gracie) and me (Tara). We have never been on any cruise before. After reading about the fish extenders on the post I got on Ebay. Is anyone making them, so I can just buy or should I just buy one from Ebay? Also, do I put things in other peoples fish extenders or do the cast members fill them? If I do, what are some of the things that you would suggest? I have not even put together a list and to read about how people are already packing makes me want to start biting my nails! What time can we start to board? I welcome all suggestions. So anything that you think might help a first time cruiser, please tell me. One really important questionis, my husband gets sea sick. Does anyone know what works the best?
Again, thank you!
I assume you wanted to be added to the FE list. I will need your stateroom number so I can add your information. I'd love to volunteer to make your FE, but I do not want to overextend myself. I am fiishing up my new pirate shirt and I am doing alerations to dance stuff for my daughters dance school. I will be more than happy to send you the directions. And you do not need to sew. I have sen people who make them out of felt and hot glue and they decorate it with all sorts of stuff.
As for FE's all of us on the list basically deliver goodies to each other.
Ideas:
hair scrunchies, candy, pens, pencils, stickers, paper, lotion, nail stuff, bubbles, tatoos, keychains, little items like you would get in party favor bag.
As for when you can get on the boat it is typically anywhere between 11am-12pm. They let you on based on a number they give you when you arrive.
Are you flying in from anywhere??? Or are you parking your own car at the port??
I have some links I will try to post with great info for a first time cruise. One of them is a 50 page book of everything you ever wanted to know.
For Seasickness we live in Kissimmee so we do not fly. We dry to the port and at around 4pm my husband takes a target motion sickness pill. There are also wristbands you can buy called SeaBands. My father's brother is a pharmacist and told him bonine is better than dramamine. I guess it is all subjective. But for my husband the Target stuff works just fine. For my duaghter we bring benadryl but have never needed it.
Other Suggestions: We pack glow necklaces for Pirate night, I bring sand toys and a neat sheet for the beaches. I am having a major mental block right now and cannot think of anything else, but I am sure there is plenty in my head.
Bring your own water or we just bring two bottles and fill them with Mickey Water.....much cheaper than a water package.
