01/04/05 4 Day Magic Roll Call

Man is it cold outside! We have a high of 3 (-25 with wind chill) and a little snow for today. It sounds like quite a few of us are freezzing today! Verhanda man-hope you're not out reading meters today! Saw that Florida was to have a high of 80!!! Counting the days! :earboy2:

The promanade on 3 at 5 sounds good for us. We have early dinner so like Dorenda we'll probably just pop in. When is the sailing away party? We'll have to squeeze that in too.

Dorenda, we will be at the Radisson the night before but not checking in until about 7-8p.m. after spending the day at MK. Maybe we could meet up? I'll most likely be in the laundry room (just like at home!).

Have a great one everyone!

Hello all and a warm welcome to all new travellers

Tammi, the Promenade Lounge sounds like a great idea - we`ll be there.

Gail, we are in Riverside and with a bit of luck Oak Manor!

I`ve just done the Christmas shop, the queue for the checkout was I hour!!!
The last batch of mince pies have been baked and we are all set for Christmas - still have`nt packed yet and we travel next tuesday :earseek:

Julie.

It's rather warm here in New Jersey today (in the 50's) but very WET!!! Yes, I read meters all morning long, but finished up just before noon, then we were all released to go home!!! YEA!!!

I just dropped my DD and her friend off at the mall for a couple of hours. What a traffic mess, I have to leave here in about one hour to pick them up, YIKES!!! Whay usually takes 15 minutes to drop them off took 30 minutes.

DW is not feeling well (in bed sleeping, waiting for the doctor to call back), so we would appreciate some PD and prayers in her behalf, especially with the holidays so close, and the crusie less than two weeks away. Just like everyone else, we "REALLY" need a few days to get away!!!

Wishing you all the best the Holiday Season has to offer!!!

Andy

keep watching all the snow coming down on the weather channel. Hope whoever has to travel has a safe journey. It's VERY cold here but no snow at all and the sun is out.

Magicmaker: we are hoping to be at the radisson by noon or so and will probably be by the pool until bedtime.

Verandah man: hope your DW feels better.

Take care all and stay warm.

Hi Everyone!

We're back from our Christmas trip to WDW - just got in a few hours ago. It was a great trip, which was nice because it's probably our last one as a family. DH and DS's 19 & 16 enjoyed it, but don't want to go back again for a long time. In fact, DS19 said, "I don't want to come back again until I bring my own kids"... oh well, it was fun while it lasted. We've been so many times, they think they've done it all.

*Of course, DD14 and I have our annual passes, and can't wait to go back! LOL*

It's official - she now knows about our cruise! We told her on Monday (her birthday) at breakfast at Cinderella's castle. I ordered the Captain Mickey beanie and a wonderful DIS'er sent her a postcard from Mickey & Minnie. I put them both in the gift bag and she figured it out pretty quickly. She is thrilled! And I am too, because now I can talk to her about it - LOL

I don't think there'll be any problems with her broken arm. She was able to ride all the rides at DW and all the characters signed her cast. I ordered the XeroSox cast cover and it works great - she went swimming and hopes to be able to snorkle at CC.

It's been fun reading and getting caught up on our thread since I got back. Welcome to the new members! Fawn, as you've seen, my DD just turned 14. However, she's not very interested in 'teenagery' stuff yet. She still loves the princesses and her favorite movie is Peter Pan, because she doesn't want to grow up!

I was so hoping that our docs would've come while we were gone, but they weren't here today...hopefully soon! Anyone else not gotten theirs yet? I think I'm right in thinking that since we went through a TA they go to her first and she sends them to us?

We're flying in on the 3rd and staying 1 night at the CB, then using DCL transfers to the ship. I know we probably won't get there early, but I've always wanted to ride that bus! LOL Then we're going back to the CB for 3 more nights before flying home on the 11th. Anyone else going to be at the CB? (I really wanted POFQ, but it was booked, and I guess CB goes along with the cruise theme better anyway.)

We heard a rumor that we might have a white Christmas this year (for the first time in my 44 years), but now it seems that it's not to be. We left Orlando this morning with about 70 degree temps and arrived home to 37 degrees...brrr! But at least we can have a fire in the fireplace! I just pray that it doesn't snow on the 3rd or I won't be able to get to the airport.

I wish everyone a Blessed and Happy Christmas!

Lisa

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

Caril-an e mail is on it's way to you as well.

11 days to go-WHO HOO :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Have a wonderful Christmas Eve everyone. God bless -Gail

:flower1: Merry Christmas all! :flower1:
I had my family last night for Christmas, 13 of us. Tonight is dinner with my DMIL and tomorrow with the rest of my DH's family. It's a busy time. Rain yesterday, but not cold. Today is dry, but getting cold again.

Lisa, I do believe the TA gets your docs before you do. Ours came on Tuesday and my family didn't even tell me right away!

Safe traveling to all who are leaving this week, we start driving on 1-1-05 :moped:

An "early" Merry Christmas greeting from New Jersey to Everyone!!!

Hazel is still feeling under the weather, I was going to go into work today, but decided I had better stay home incase I'm needed here. We're still waiting to hear about test results that Hazel had done on Tuesday. One of the three test came back "negative" on Thursday, but we might not hear until after Christmas the results of the other two tests. We sure hope we get to meet you all in January, we are so looking forward to this trip and cruise!!!!! Almost down to the single digit dance!!! I'm thinking positive thoughts!!! We're going to make it!!! We're going to make it!!!

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

Just checking in, its getting close.

Verandah Man, I hope Hazel feels better and all the test results are good. She's in our thoughts.

Can't wait to meet you all in the Promenade Lounge. 5pm on Sailaway Day, right? DH planned to do predinner drinks by the windows anyway. I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo excited. I love my kids, I will miss them, but I need this time away. Can't wait to meet you all! :cool1:

Merry Christmas cruisers.

Andy, I hope Hazel is feeling better. The holidays are such a stressful time and can really wreak havoc on your body. Hopefully the promise of warm ocean breezes will have her feeling right as rain soon.

Melissa, I was thinking of a window seat and a cool drink in the Promenade Lounge also. Maybe we'll see you there before the official meet time. We'll either be there or on our verandah after the lifeboat drill. If anyone would like to join us, please feel free to stop by.

I will leave a sign on my door directing fellow DIS'ers to the lounge at 5pm.

Tammi

Hazel made it through the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service last night at church, she says she feels up to going to the movies this afternoon (a Christmas family tradition). I'll be taping the Disney Christmas Parade and will be watching it after we return from the movies.

I couldn't believe it, Angelina actually slept in until 6:10 this morning. Usually she has up by 3am to open her gifts. Angelina did go back to bed after opening everything.

My mom is up from Florida, she made us homemade biscuits with sausage gravy for breakfast, way to go mom!!!!!

Looking forward to meeting everyone in about 10 days, I'm keeping those positive thoughts going!!!!! :D :D :D

Merry Christmas to all!!!

Woke up to a white Christmas this morning and it's still snowing.

I got a new fancy digital camera from DH and DS to take on our trip next week. Just have to figure out how to use it. Lots of buttons and a huge book. They also got me a printer so I can print all our vacation pictures out when we get home.

We look forward to meeting all of you very soon.

Take care and have a great day.

Our daughters sound like they might get on famously. Ashleigh would rather be watching a Disney movie than a teenager one. She isn't into teenagey stuff either, and I'm thrilled she's not ready to grow up. After all, her Mommy never has! :flower1: She's turning 14 on Jan 15.

BTW, never too old. My 14 going on 15 and 21 year old daughters share a bathroom...they decorated it how? Disney Princesses! princess:

Maybe we can introduce them at the Dis meet at the Promenade Lounge?

Happy Holidays and a Blessed Christmas one and all!

We just had a wonderful morning unwrapping, got cleaned up, turkeys are in oven...just waiting for the next group of kids to show up so we can start presents all over again!

I hope everyone gets a little Santa pixie dust (he borrows from Tink, I hear) to end their year the right way.

Santa paid us an early visit on Friday afternoon in the form of a USPS mailman. Our DVC resale member packet arrived with our DVC Member Number, Member Handbook and 2004-2005 Vacation Planner!!! We were scheduled to have closing on December 27th, this quite a nice surprise for us on Friday!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

It's been a very busy last two days and I'm exhausted. EB had to go into the hospital to work second shift today, so I'm home alone with my greys. Getting ready to watch Mary Poppins...I love Julie Andrews!

I hope everyone is having a relaxing and fun day. Andy - I hope Hazel is feeling even better today. :cloud9:

:flower: Melody :flower:

Thanks Melody!!!

Our family just arrived home from the movies. We went and saw "Fat Albert" this afternoon. It was cute and funny, we enjoyed it. Now, we are getting ready to have some leftovers from earlier today. Enjoy the rest of the Holiday Weekend. We are headed towards Atlantic City on Sunday for a family get together. Monday starts a four day work week for me. Saturday we go see Disney On Ice--Finding Nemo, two days after that Hazel and I will be heading to the airport for our flight to Orlando.

See you very soon, at the DCL Terminal or on the Magic!!!!! :boat:

Sounds like you have a busy couple of weeks headed your way! We will be seeing a Disney onIce show here in Wilkes-Barre on the 11th -- just a few days after returning from the cruise. We're excited to see this show. We have never seen a Disney on Ice show!

Fat Albert looks funny...it is on our list of movies to see. We saw Meet the Fockers the other day. Very funny! We're definitely a big movie family -- we saw a double-header on Black Friday. I think that day is our movie tradition outing.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

:cheer2: :rockband: :cheer2:

It's time for the Single Digit Dance people!!!
