We are also going to be staying at POP Century on New Years' Day and Jan. 2nd - moving over to Wilderness Lodge on the 3rd.
Also, we are planning on doing the walking/kayaking excursion on CC. Have you heard about hurricane damage to that side of the island? I realize that we are supposed to see it in it's natural state but if there is complete devastation to the habitat we'd rather wait a few years until it has had a chance to grow back. Do you think we should bring mosquito repellent for this excursion?

I have not heard about the extent of hurricane damage but that is something to take into consideration for sure.

Hadn't thought about it but I have never had a problem with mosquitos on Castaway Cay, although I have never really been off the "beaten path" so to speak.

I have Mickey heads on almost every piece of luggage, back packs, fanny packs etc that I own .

I wonder if I should wear my DIS pin too. I have worn it before but never had any luck with meeting any DISers.

We will definitely have to keep our eyes open for the "green"

Just got home from being out of town for Thanksgiving and DH's passport was in the mail. YAY! Me and the kids are just bringing our birth cert. with the raised seal on them. DH was kind of messed up so I made him get a passport.

Hi everyone. We are back from our mini vacation. The dude ranch was so much fun!!!!!!!!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful TG.

PALO DINNER UPDATE:

I have had two more people that can not make the Palo dinner. So that is a total of 5. I am going to cancel the Palo dinner as I feel that we would need 5 more people to have the private room as a GTR. There is no one else at this moment that has wanted to add their names to the dinner list. I feel this is the better way to go eventhough it would of been nice to all have dinner together.
We will all hopefully meet in Tammi's room on the first day that we leave port. With people canceling and changing their minds I do not want to get stuck with the private room and the bill at the end. I totally understand that people's plans change. It is becoming to much work to try to keep this dinner together. I am going to call Debbie in the am and let someone else have the private room if there is a waiting list. We will all have to make our own Palo dinner reservations when we get on the ship. I hope all who were going to dinner will understand .

Hello again everyone.

Just wanted to let everyone on our trip know that I have opened up an SPH Room - 5020 (I think it's one of the best SPH's).

My DH & I decided to surprise my mom & son with a verandah stateroom. We're not going to tell them until they walk into it. I can't wait!
My mom's never had a verandah & keeps researching the SPH room & what it looks like. They're gonna be thrilled.

Anyway, if anyone was wishing they could get one of the SPH's, I just called & cancelled ours & it's out there available.

My dh came home for lunch and I asked him to try again. At first he said it wasn't the same category, but then confirmed that it was and available. I just booked a 6 night stay today at POP Century for next Thanksgiving week. So we will be eating our Thanksgiving dinner someplace at Disney.

My friend who is going on the cruise with us said she called to book a shore excursion and she said most of them are booked. Has anyone run into this problem? I haven't booked ours yet and now I'm kind of worried.

I really wanted to do the sting ray thing in Nassau and she said that is totally booked. I guess that's what I get for being pokey.

Hi everyone. I could not sleep-Sinus infection setting in.
I wanted to let all of you know who ever booked or is thinking about booking Atlantis for a day room at Comfort Suites(much cheaper than doing it through Atlanis) I just got a great rate through this web site for Choice Hotels-Confort Suites. They discount 20% at this web site. I got us a dy room for 2 Adults and 2 children at $157.50 plus 12% tax. The web site is:

Thanx for the info, Gail. Just wondering, did you check the rates at the Atlantis? Someone here told me that it was actually cheaper than the Comfort Suites. Here's a quote:

"I forgot to tell you that the dayroom at Atlantis was $150 which was cheaper than the Comfort Suites."

P.S. Also a tip with Atlantis I was told they will put you in a room for a day room that is a far walk to the pools. I will also ask them that question. Gail
