01/04/05 4 Day Magic Roll Call

Atlantis Information:

I Just Called Atlantis Reservations And Their Cheapest Room For 1/5/05 Is In The Beach Towers At $360.00.

If You Want A Cheaper Rate You Have To Take Your Chances And Book On The Day You Arrive Directly With Atlantis. Than It Still Might Be Expensive Depending On If They Have Any Rooms Available. This Is What Reservations Told Me. I Also Called The Hotel Directly. The Beach Towers Are Far From The Pools.

Mabye That Rate Of $150.00 Was When She Went Over To The Resort On The Day Of Arrival. We Have Friends Who Did It On The Day Of Arrival - Off Season And The Cheapest Rate They Got Was $200.00.
I Am Going To Stick With What We Have As I Do Not Want To Go And Either Hotels Have No Rooms Left. Gail

Gail,
Thanks for doing all the checking on Atlantis. Looks like we'll be booking at the Comfort Suites. Actually, my DH & I prefer to stay on the ship, but my mom wants to book a room & for us to join her.

Thanks also for the info on it's location. That was really helpful.

Oh, yeah, how do you get to the CS from the ship?

You can take a cab ride. It is $4.00 each way. I think that is PP??? It is right next to Atlantas. Walking Distance. There is a path to Atlantis. Gail

Happy Wednesday.

Where Is Everyone Lately??????????????????????????????????????

4 Weeks To Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gail

I'm here counting down the days :Pinkbounc pirate:

I always look at this thread but don't always post.

Just went to lunch with my friend who is going on the cruise as well and we were just talking about how quickly we will be leaving. We are all soooo excited. I booked our shore excurions yesterday.
Going to blackbeard cay for the sting ray adventure in nassau and doing the cataamaran snorkel thing in castaway cay. Also booked DS 17 on the bananna boat ride. I figured he would like that.

Now I have to figure out how to pack and may start doing so here by next week.

We got 6" of snow at our other farm last night but none at home here. I don't want to see snow until I get back from vacation.

Everyone have a great day!!! :flower:

Our group of 4 also booked a room at Comfort Suites for $217.50(not including taxes) for 4 adults. Including taxes, energy surcharges and housekeeping fee that still comes to about $70 a person. I figure that's a pretty good deal for everything you get at Atlantis. Plus I'm planning on going back to the ship for dinner and then returning to Atlantis especially since we don't leave port until 11p.m.
Gail could you give me directions as to where the walking path is from the dock - that's a nice alternative to the taxis during the day.
Has anyone ever had any trouble getting a taxi from Atlantis or are they usually lined up and waiting for passengers? Does anyone know about nighttime availability?

F.Y.I. - just got off the phone with DCL. I booked the walking/kayaking shore excursion on CC. Didn't have any problem getting it and both times were available.

Thanks for the info. We are thinking about this excursion as well.

Did you sign up for the morning or the afternoon? Do you think there is a benefit to one or the other?

I was wondering the same thing if DH and I decide to do the jetski eco tour. I thought maybe the last one in the afternoon would be best. I don't know why, but maybe a better chance of it being warm. If the weather does end up cool and we get wet, at least the day will be over and we can go back to the ship for hot showers.

I think Gail meant that there is a walking path from the Comfort Suites to Atlantis. The cab ride from the dock to Atlantis takes about 15-20 min. I hear.

I think I agree with that. If the weather is cooler then it has more time to warm up.

Hi everyone. Yes I meant tht the walking path is from the Comfort Suites to Atlantis. The cab ride I think is $4.00 pp??? Does anyone know how much it is??? I do know the ferry is cheaper BUT it takes longer and it is a long walk to Atlantis. I have no idea how far a walk it is from the ferry to Comfort Suites.

We got our rate for two kids and two adults including all at $ 184.40. It was $ 157.50 room plus 12% tax and 4.oo per adult sur charge( no sur charge for children under 12). Did you see if you could get a better rate through the website I posted earlier?????

Anyway I am so tired. Long day. Nighty night to all. Gail

I think I saw on a thread someone just got their documents for the Dec 18 sailing on the Wonder.

With Christmas and New Years they would probably want to make sure ours are out early to avoid getting lost in the holiday rush. At least I am hoping that will be the case.

Gail
As I remember it was $4.00 per person, their were plenty of cabs. We went
into a van with a lot of people headed to Atlantis. The only thing was he
took everyone to Atlantis and would not take us on to the comfort suites.
Not a long walk but a bit annoying. Have you checked your rate lately at
the comfort suites, I rebooked mine at $140.00 plus tax. I may not keep it
because the family we are going with really want to get a room at Atlantis.
I think its going to be more expensive but they have done everything else
according to our plans so I'll probably give in on this.

We are almost there!!!

Hi there. When did you rebook your hotel room??? I just went on line AND called them - The lowest rate available today is $157.50 which is what I booked about week ago. I wish it would of gone down to $140.00. I gave them my entertainment card, AAA card, LGOLD rate and they were still all $157.50 even on line as well. If you got it through another website I would appreciate if you could pass on who you used. Thanks-Gail

Hi Gail
I rebooked mine Nov. 19th. I went to the www.rentalcodes.com site, click on choice hotels and use small signifigant organization saving rate, it beats
the entertainment and AAA. Hope the $140.00 is still on. My old rate was
at $172.00 so the $140.00 was a great improvement. (of course now I may
not use it). Its rainny and cold here, cold for us in South Texas anyway
I am ready for our trip. :umbrella:

Good luck,
Wintermom

Several times a day I`m looking to see if there`s an email from our TA, with our stateroom assignment. Nothing so far!
Well never mind I`m sure everything is worth the wait!
Just over 3 weeks till we travel for our 18 day trip. Is it too soon to put up the Christmas tree?

Julie.

Thanks wintermom for the link. That saved $17.50 off the room cost. Quess we'll just have to make a long day of it at Atlantis instead of going back and forth if it takes 15-20 min. one way. Is the path from Atlantis to Comfort Suites easily found from where the cab drops you off? Does anyone know if they have beach towels by the pools at Atlantis? Does Comfort Suites give you a map of the Atlantis property or can you pick one up at there guest services? If you buy drinks, etc. are they charged to your room at Comfort Suites or do you pay for them up front? Thanks in advance for any info - I obviously have to do more research on this.
As far as our excursion on CC I booked the 9 a.m. one. This excursion is mostly exercise(I'll need to burn some calories from all of the great eats on the ship) and I figured that even if it was cool in the morning it wouldn't make a difference. Besides this guarantees that I'll have a relaxing afternoon on the beach(weather permitting). I'm looking forward to spending it on the adult beach. We only rode past it the last time on our bikes since we had the grandbabies with us. I would wait until the afternoon to do the jetski eco tour because you'll get much wetter than we will. But then again I don't think 90 is hot anymore - I almost didn't make it back in from snorkeling last March because I got so cold and if I remember correctly the air temperature was 82.
