How is the soundproofing in this resort?

Thinking of VGF BPK as an example of unbearable

and thinking of VGF Original Villas Building as an example of divinely quiet.

Some more pics posted on FB. Looks like we are getting the newest Keurig Duo.

Would you be able to please post your crucial update in the Coffee Maker thread? I think CCV is the first to get the newer Duos. Thanks!

I did, on Tuesday!! 😊

In all our stays we haven’t had any issues. Perhaps we’ve gotten lucky with great, quiet neighbors each time. We have more sound annoyances at another of our WDW home resorts, BCV…🙉

It’s so interesting - we had zero issues at VGF BPK - and felt like we were staying in the same room with our neighbors at CCV. We heard every snore, cough - you name it. I really just chalk it up to luck of the draw.

The stay before CCV we were at AKL next to an elevator, which convinced me to leave a sound machine in my owners locker - best addition to date!!

We always stay in Deluxe Studios with walk-in shower at CCV and have always been in a lock off room. We find it really just depends on the neighbors. Some people are considerate and try to be quiet and others are loud, where you hear their conversation, movement through the space, and sometimes they try entering through the lock off door. Most of our stays have been pleasant or we wouldn't return. We really enjoy this resort.

Pictures of a 1 bedroom were posted a week or so ago, if you scroll back a couple pages, you should see them.
Thanks I just found them on page 288! I really like what they did and I think the Murphy bed fits the room well without breaking the vibe. Like one other person said, that teal rug is a questionable color choice just given all the other earthy tones.

Overall, it seems like a win to me!

Just re-upping a question I posed earlier and I don’t think anyone responded to. Do we have any confirmation that ALL rooms are getting the Murphy beds or do we still have questions about whether some or all of the top floor rooms are keeping pull out beds because of the ceiling shape?

IMO, if all floors are getting the Murphy beds, that does give CCV rooms a slight edge over BRV rooms (on this point) because you will always be assured of no pullout bed.

So far I have only seen reports of the 7th floor having no murphy. But I haven't seen hardly any reports so still holding out hope.

I just checked in for a 2BR, was so happy to get a refurbished room (6th floor). I took lots of photos

I think it's confirmed that some top floor rooms will still use pull out couches. Not sure if there will be a guaranteed way to avoid them.

UPDATE:

A picture was posted on DVC fan of the new 1 bedroom Murphy bed (closed)…

Beautiful, exactly what I wanted from this refurb.

I’ve heard people speculate this (and certainly won’t be surprising if true), but still haven’t seen anyone say they stayed on X floor, it was refurbished, but no Murphy bed. Maybe I’ve just missed it, but have yet to see it either here or in any of the Facebook groups I’ve looked at.

Here’s some photos of a 7th floor studio without a Murphy bed. Haven’t heard of this happening with any other floors yet. It’s consistent with BRV having the same issue with the top floor.
