“Dreams Come True Momma!” A 2 year old’s first trip ~ May 2015~Complete {NEW TR LINK!}

Since I need to play the game now! Yes you make rope drop but miss the welcome show because of the busses...

More comments on the actual report later :D

So I last left you as we were getting on the Monorail at Epcot headed to dinner.

Prepare for cuteness overload!!!!

When we got there the band was playing and let to the following sweet moment.

Awwww....

It's a good thing you stopped her when you did. She was starting to get a little dizzy there at the end.
Are you going to/have you already enrolled her in dance classes?

@pkondz- point given for enticing DH out of lurkdom.

Woot! For me!

I warn you now. DH and I weren’t always great about getting food pictures this trip.

No worries. I forgot too. Sometimes you're just having a good time (or in your case, have your hands full with a little one) and you're focus isn't on TR writing.

1) Little Miss is a total fan girl for Cinderella. Her whole body shook and her knees gave out when Little Miss saw her.

I don't know whether to laugh or say awww.

Maybe both!

2) Letting Little Miss sit in the easy access spot was totally NOT going to work and to prevent her from charging at Cinderella we had to move her to the booth with DH. Even still he had to physically restrain her a few times.

:laughing:

Little Miss was in love instantly.

Looks like it! Great pics!

As she walked away DH and I looked at each other and said, “Our whole trip was worth it for that moment alone.”

::yes:: I know that feeling very, very well.

Well, Drizella decided that Anastasia’s picture had something missing. She then proceeded to draw on glasses, a mustache and chin hair.

:laughing: Although I couldn't help but wonder what Anastasia would think about that.

it’s best to let the video speak for itself.

:lmao: That's awesome! What a great interaction!

It was the perfect way to start off our trip and it made DH and I excited for future Meet and Greets.

::yes:: How could it not???

“ That’s… Mommy is that?... Cinrera’s Castle!”

OMG. What are you trying to do to us?
Brain explodes from excessive cuteness.

As we were getting off the bus the bus driver pulled out a box of rings plastic rings and gave one to Little Miss.

I didn't know they did that! That's wonderful!

while we were checking out a cm saw Little Miss and her Ring and said that she needed a necklace to go with it and gave her some mardi gras beads.

:sad2: Man, you guys were just getting pixie dust wherever you turned! :goodvibes

On our way back to the room we passed a group of college age kids and one of the guys saw Little Miss and made a big show of exclaiming that they were passing royalty and as we passed gave Little Miss a dramatic bow and said “Good evening your majesty!” It really was too cute for words!

Huh. A college kid who gets it.
Disney just does that to people doesn't it?

It still blows my mind that a day that started so rough ended in so much magic that none of the yucky stuff mattered. What a way to kick off the trip.

::yes:: Amazing!

~Do we make Rope Drop the next morning and if so Do we get to see the welcome show?

Well.... I've got a 50/50 shot here.....
I'm going against my gut here (which tells me it's tough to go anywhere on time with a little one.)
But I'm going to say you made rope drop and the show.

Watch out! I'm taking this game for full DIS braging rights :cheer2:

:laughing:

Look at her in her Cinderella dress! :lovestruc She is just too cute for words! Sounds like you all had a fantastic evening despite some hiccups during travel. Can't wait to read about Little Miss first full day!

Now, I'm having the dilemma if I should order DD some princess dresses and do one or two character meals. I think I will try! :thumbsup2

Oh dear, you have me regretting switching from GF to Boardwalk. I'm itching to go and switch back now! :laughing:

Loved the interactions with the characters especially Lady Tremaine and the sisters. Too bad about Charming being a dud. When we ate there in 2007 he skipped our table entirely!

Love all your pictures and your review! Your DD is adorable.
My real question is when can you ship me the shirt you are wearing?? LOL Cinderella is my favorite, but I haven't had any luck in my size that don't say "looking for Prince Charming" I've been married 13 years, so I really don't want to wear that shirt, it might be awkward. I've been looking at Disney Store online for some time.
I might go inside a Disney store on Wednesday though, so maybe...

::yes::

Are you going to/have you already enrolled her in dance classes?
You would be surprised who long she can spin in circles without getting dizzy but seeing as she had already barfed 2ce that day I put a stop to it so we could go explore a bit more.

Woot! For me!
:cheer2:

No worries. I forgot too. Sometimes you're just having a good time (or in your case, have your hands full with a little one) and you're focus isn't on TR writing.
::yes::

I don't know whether to laugh or say awww.

Maybe both!
DH and I certainly did both! ::yes:: Stinkin cute is what that is!

::yes:: I know that feeling very, very well.
So fulfilling.

:laughing: Although I couldn't help but wonder what Anastasia would think about that.
That was pretty much what everyone else around us was thinking.

:lmao: That's awesome! What a great interaction!
::yes:: I had heard so many good things about the interaction at this one that going in I was worried it may not live up to the hype. Too have it blow away my expectations was amazing.

::yes:: How could it not???
It set the bar high that is for sure!

OMG. What are you trying to do to us?
Brain explodes from excessive cuteness.
:rotfl: I'm not ashamed to admit that moment really got the waterworks going. ::yes::

I didn't know they did that! That's wonderful!
I think it was a special bit of pixie dust this particular driver did.

:sad2: Man, you guys were just getting pixie dust wherever you turned! :goodvibes
:wizard:::yes::

Huh. A college kid who gets it.
Disney just does that to people doesn't it?
It certainly does!

Who would have guessed right? With all of the bumps to the day I was so worried going into the meal.

Well.... I've got a 50/50 shot here.....
I'm going against my gut here (which tells me it's tough to go anywhere on time with a little one.)
But I'm going to say you made rope drop and the show.
:rolleyes1

Look at her in her Cinderella dress! :lovestruc She is just too cute for words!
She is indeed! :cutie:

Sounds like you all had a fantastic evening despite some hiccups during travel.
::yes::

Can't wait to read about Little Miss first full day!
Looking forward to sharing!

Now, I'm having the dilemma if I should order DD some princess dresses and do one or two character meals. I think I will try! :thumbsup2
We were very glad we did it. It gave her such a thrill to walk around in her dresses! :wizard:

Oh dear, you have me regretting switching from GF to Boardwalk. I'm itching to go and switch back now! :laughing:
I'm afraid I won't be much help in the choice between those. While I have never seen Boardwalk up close for myself there are too many creepy touches lingering places at Boardwalk for it to ever compete with the beautiful tranquility of the Grand.

Loved the interactions with the characters especially Lady Tremaine and the sisters.
THe interactions ended up being some of our favorite of the trip.

Too bad about Charming being a dud. When we ate there in 2007 he skipped our table entirely!
A friend pointed out that Prince Charming is a pretty flat character in the movies as well. Prince Charming's "Friend" probably doesn't have much to work with character wise. Heck he doesn't even have a name! :rotfl2:

Love all your pictures and your review!
One of our favorite meals of the trip!

Your DD is adorable.
:thanks:

My real question is when can you ship me the shirt you are wearing??
I actually made it myself. Its easier than it looks. I used Tulip Glitter Iron On Transfer Sheets (found at hobby Lobby) found a picture of CInderella and the Prince that I liked and printed it out. and then used an exacto knife and put the print out over the transfer sheet and cut. Having now put one through the wash I can say that they wash well.

I had the same problem and ended up getting a lot of shirts from here: http://www.torrid.com/torrid/Disney.jsp It was nice to have some nice fitting disneyish shirts. If Torrid runs to big for you, you could shoot in the dark and try Hot topic but I've heard their stuff is all in junior's sizes.

I love, love, love all of your 1900 Park Fare pictures. Such a great start to your trip, and your day seems like it turned out to be wonderful! She's a Cinderella fan girl for sure. Can't wait to see how she reacts to Magic Kingdom. :)

Glad that you were happy with your room and that your DD loved the headboard so much. Actually between that and the fountains (and then the character meets at Dinner) I think you could have skipped the parks all together and your daughter would have considered it a successful trip

Always love to have that moment when it hits you that all the planning (and money) are worth it as you can't put a price on the smiling face of your child

Loved what you did with the welcome gift! Super cute.

Sounds like a really nice dinner and great character interactions. My daughter has no interest in meeting the step mother/sisters (she hates all villains, and conflict in general) but hopefully that will change and we can try that dinner out some day.

Pure magic! :wizard:

:laughing: That's a good reason to put the brakes on the spinning!
I thought so! :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Probably! :rotfl:

:wizard:::yes:: And we kept having these moments throughout the trip.

Loved what you did with the welcome gift! Super cute.
:thanks:

I can see why she might be hesitant but they were really sweet with Little Miss. Well worth a visit for sure.

Next up was Prince Charming. And if I’m honest he was kind of a dud.
Thats too bad! We had a really good interaction with Prince Charming, but not such a great one with Cinderella.
The next character is where the fun REALLY began.
The Tremaines are great! I think they kept us laughing for most of our dinner. :laughing:
I think the GF has made it to my want to stay here sometime list.
Happened to me too! It's just so magical there!
Do we make Rope Drop the next morning and if so Do we get to see the welcome show?
I think you do make rope drop and you do see the welcome show! Or at least part of it.

OMG your pics of little Miss with Cinderella were just beautiful...almost made me cry!! Happy tears of course. So true though...a moment like that can just erase all the crap that led to getting there!! I agree with you that the GF is so beautiful...I do hope we can find a way to stay there one day...I wonder if renting DVC points is an option...I'm starting to think more about that but it makes me a bit nervous. Also I can't believe that teenagers were that sweet to little miss...I wish ALL teenagers could be sweet like that...my soon to be teen is nuthin' but surly lol and I can't picture him doing anything like that lol. I'm thinking you make RD...although...EMH RD is gonna come quick after a late night!!

Yes, it is reactions and the Awe and wonderment of that little one that made all your planning and things so worth while! Good job Mama!

I loved everything in this segment (well except for not getting any points in the game, lol!)

I say you all make it to rope drop and opening show! (What can I saw...I am OPTOMISTIC!)

Lynn

Little Miss was in love instantly. It was such a sweet Meet and Greet. As she walked away DH and I looked at each other and said, “Our whole trip was worth it for that moment alone.”

Amazing!

Next to the table came Lady Tremaine. We talked a bit about getting Little Miss to do the chores and then she went to sign the autograph book, and well, it’s best to let the video speak for itself. :rotfl:

That video is classic, you should show that to everyone all the time forever! :rotfl2:

I told DH he had to get on that whole winning the lotto thing. I think the GF has made it to my want to stay here sometime list.

If i hit the lotto i may stay at each Deluxe for a week each, a girl can dream right!:goodvibes

“Hello Princess!” and Little Miss just beamed! She loved all the people calling out to her and greeting her and calling her princess

I think CM and interactions like this really add a little something extra to trips!pixiedust:

On our way back to the room we passed a group of college age kids and one of the guys saw Little Miss and made a big show of exclaiming that they were passing royalty and as we passed gave Little Miss a dramatic bow and said “Good evening your majesty!” It really was too cute for words!

I love that other guest who maybe (or may) not normally interact with each other do at Disney, its a really special place that brings out the best in most people!:woohoo:

Little Miss is adorable with all the ballroom dancing before dinner! She is so cute! I am really enjoying your TR and again I am excited to follow along!

Great update! It was fun looking at your DD's reactions to the characters. I loved how she just lit up with Cinderella. WDW is a magical place, especially when people like the bus driver and the nice college kids who acknowledged Little Miss being royalty. I love that the college kid bowed. So cute!

I know when my own daughter was younger and she was dressed as Cinderella, the bus driver we had announced over the loud speaker on the bus that the people on the bus should be on their best behavior since there was royalty on the bus. He greeted her and made her feel special. She loved the attention!

Love the dancing video at the GF. Very sweet mommy/daughter moments! :lovestruc (Izzy is also a big fan of spinning :thumbsup2).

1) Little Miss is a total fan girl for Cinderella. Her whole body shook and her knees gave out when Little Miss saw her.
Aw, so cute! Cinderella must be really working her magic lately, as we had great meets with her too. pixiedust:

2) Letting Little Miss sit in the easy access spot was totally NOT going to work and to prevent her from charging at Cinderella we had to move her to the booth with DH. Even still he had to physically restrain her a few times.
Haha, I understand this - we had several situations back at Aulani that involved cast member restraint of our crying toddler trying to rush characters. :rotfl:

What fun meets you had at dinner! I love the video you got! :rotfl2:

This is when Little Miss got her first glimpse of Cinderella’s castle. Her face lit up in amazement and then said, “ That’s… Mommy is that?... Cinrera’s Castle!” She just couldn’t believe her eyes.
Another sweet moment! What a great start to your trip after that rough travel day!

Your dinner at 1900 Park Fare sounds like so much fun! The character interaction with Anastasia, Drizella and Lady Tremaine is hilarious!! And that moment Little Miss had with Cinderella...too precious! We've been to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast but never dinner, and now I'm considering it a must do for next time! BTW, I am in love with the strawbery soup. It's delicious....I could just drink a whole vat.

What an awesome night filled with so many sweet moments!

I love Little Miss's reaction when she saw Cinderella for the first time. I agree that moment's like that make the whole thing totally worth it!

Such fun interactions with the step sisters and Lady Tremaine!

And how great that Little Miss got so much extra attention in her dress - sweet moments like that are just so Disney!

And my guess is no for rope drop and opening show...we missed quite a few rope drops that I had been planning on last trip!
