Since I need to play the game now!
Yes you make rope drop but miss the welcome show because of the busses...
More comments on the actual report later![]()
So I last left you as we were getting on the Monorail at Epcot headed to dinner.
When we got there the band was playing and let to the following sweet moment.
@pkondz- point given for enticing DH out of lurkdom.
I warn you now. DH and I weren’t always great about getting food pictures this trip.
1) Little Miss is a total fan girl for Cinderella. Her whole body shook and her knees gave out when Little Miss saw her.
2) Letting Little Miss sit in the easy access spot was totally NOT going to work and to prevent her from charging at Cinderella we had to move her to the booth with DH. Even still he had to physically restrain her a few times.
Little Miss was in love instantly.
As she walked away DH and I looked at each other and said, “Our whole trip was worth it for that moment alone.”
Well, Drizella decided that Anastasia’s picture had something missing. She then proceeded to draw on glasses, a mustache and chin hair.
it’s best to let the video speak for itself.
It was the perfect way to start off our trip and it made DH and I excited for future Meet and Greets.
“ That’s… Mommy is that?... Cinrera’s Castle!”
As we were getting off the bus the bus driver pulled out a box of rings plastic rings and gave one to Little Miss.
while we were checking out a cm saw Little Miss and her Ring and said that she needed a necklace to go with it and gave her some mardi gras beads.
On our way back to the room we passed a group of college age kids and one of the guys saw Little Miss and made a big show of exclaiming that they were passing royalty and as we passed gave Little Miss a dramatic bow and said “Good evening your majesty!” It really was too cute for words!
It still blows my mind that a day that started so rough ended in so much magic that none of the yucky stuff mattered. What a way to kick off the trip.
~Do we make Rope Drop the next morning and if so Do we get to see the welcome show?
Watch out! I'm taking this game for full DIS braging rights![]()
Prepare for cuteness overload!!!!
You would be surprised who long she can spin in circles without getting dizzy but seeing as she had already barfed 2ce that day I put a stop to it so we could go explore a bit more. It's a good thing you stopped her when you did. She was starting to get a little dizzy there at the end.
Are you going to/have you already enrolled her in dance classes?
Woot! For me!
No worries. I forgot too. Sometimes you're just having a good time (or in your case, have your hands full with a little one) and you're focus isn't on TR writing.
DH and I certainly did both!I don't know whether to laugh or say awww.
Maybe both!
So fulfilling.I know that feeling very, very well.
That was pretty much what everyone else around us was thinking.Although I couldn't help but wonder what Anastasia would think about that.
That's awesome! What a great interaction!
It set the bar high that is for sure! How could it not???
OMG. What are you trying to do to us?
Brain explodes from excessive cuteness.
I think it was a special bit of pixie dust this particular driver did.I didn't know they did that! That's wonderful!
Man, you guys were just getting pixie dust wherever you turned!
![]()
It certainly does!Huh. A college kid who gets it.
Disney just does that to people doesn't it?
Who would have guessed right? With all of the bumps to the day I was so worried going into the meal.Amazing!
Well.... I've got a 50/50 shot here.....
I'm going against my gut here (which tells me it's tough to go anywhere on time with a little one.)
But I'm going to say you made rope drop and the show.
She is indeed!Look at her in her Cinderella dress! She is just too cute for words!
Sounds like you all had a fantastic evening despite some hiccups during travel.
Looking forward to sharing! Can't wait to read about Little Miss first full day!
We were very glad we did it. It gave her such a thrill to walk around in her dresses! Now, I'm having the dilemma if I should order DD some princess dresses and do one or two character meals. I think I will try!![]()
I'm afraid I won't be much help in the choice between those. While I have never seen Boardwalk up close for myself there are too many creepy touches lingering places at Boardwalk for it to ever compete with the beautiful tranquility of the Grand.Oh dear, you have me regretting switching from GF to Boardwalk. I'm itching to go and switch back now!![]()
THe interactions ended up being some of our favorite of the trip.Loved the interactions with the characters especially Lady Tremaine and the sisters.
A friend pointed out that Prince Charming is a pretty flat character in the movies as well. Prince Charming's "Friend" probably doesn't have much to work with character wise. Heck he doesn't even have a name!Too bad about Charming being a dud. When we ate there in 2007 he skipped our table entirely!
One of our favorite meals of the trip!Love all your pictures and your review!
Your DD is adorable.
I actually made it myself. Its easier than it looks. I used Tulip Glitter Iron On Transfer Sheets (found at hobby Lobby) found a picture of CInderella and the Prince that I liked and printed it out. and then used an exacto knife and put the print out over the transfer sheet and cut. Having now put one through the wash I can say that they wash well.My real question is when can you ship me the shirt you are wearing??
I had the same problem and ended up getting a lot of shirts from here: http://www.torrid.com/torrid/Disney.jsp It was nice to have some nice fitting disneyish shirts. If Torrid runs to big for you, you could shoot in the dark and try Hot topic but I've heard their stuff is all in junior's sizes.LOL Cinderella is my favorite, but I haven't had any luck in my size that don't say "looking for Prince Charming" I've been married 13 years, so I really don't want to wear that shirt, it might be awkward. I've been looking at Disney Store online for some time.
I might go inside a Disney store on Wednesday though, so maybe...
seeing as she had already barfed 2ce that day I put a stop to it so we could go explore a bit more.
It really was a great start to the trip!I love, love, love all of your 1900 Park Fare pictures. Such a great start to your trip, and your day seems like it turned out to be wonderful!
She's a Cinderella fan girl for sure.
Pure magic! Can't wait to see how she reacts to Magic Kingdom.![]()
I thought so!That's a good reason to put the brakes on the spinning!
Probably!Glad that you were happy with your room and that your DD loved the headboard so much. Actually between that and the fountains (and then the character meets at Dinner) I think you could have skipped the parks all together and your daughter would have considered it a successful trip
Always love to have that moment when it hits you that all the planning (and money) are worth it as you can't put a price on the smiling face of your child
Loved what you did with the welcome gift! Super cute.
I can see why she might be hesitant but they were really sweet with Little Miss. Well worth a visit for sure.Sounds like a really nice dinner and great character interactions. My daughter has no interest in meeting the step mother/sisters (she hates all villains, and conflict in general) but hopefully that will change and we can try that dinner out some day.
Thats too bad! We had a really good interaction with Prince Charming, but not such a great one with Cinderella.Next up was Prince Charming. And if I’m honest he was kind of a dud.
The Tremaines are great! I think they kept us laughing for most of our dinner. The next character is where the fun REALLY began.
Happened to me too! It's just so magical there!I think the GF has made it to my want to stay here sometime list.
I think you do make rope drop and you do see the welcome show! Or at least part of it.Do we make Rope Drop the next morning and if so Do we get to see the welcome show?
Little Miss was in love instantly. It was such a sweet Meet and Greet. As she walked away DH and I looked at each other and said, “Our whole trip was worth it for that moment alone.”
Next to the table came Lady Tremaine. We talked a bit about getting Little Miss to do the chores and then she went to sign the autograph book, and well, it’s best to let the video speak for itself.![]()
I told DH he had to get on that whole winning the lotto thing. I think the GF has made it to my want to stay here sometime list.
“Hello Princess!” and Little Miss just beamed! She loved all the people calling out to her and greeting her and calling her princess
On our way back to the room we passed a group of college age kids and one of the guys saw Little Miss and made a big show of exclaiming that they were passing royalty and as we passed gave Little Miss a dramatic bow and said “Good evening your majesty!” It really was too cute for words!
Aw, so cute! Cinderella must be really working her magic lately, as we had great meets with her too.1) Little Miss is a total fan girl for Cinderella. Her whole body shook and her knees gave out when Little Miss saw her.
Haha, I understand this - we had several situations back at Aulani that involved cast member restraint of our crying toddler trying to rush characters.2) Letting Little Miss sit in the easy access spot was totally NOT going to work and to prevent her from charging at Cinderella we had to move her to the booth with DH. Even still he had to physically restrain her a few times.
Another sweet moment! What a great start to your trip after that rough travel day! This is when Little Miss got her first glimpse of Cinderella’s castle. Her face lit up in amazement and then said, “ That’s… Mommy is that?... Cinrera’s Castle!” She just couldn’t believe her eyes.
