»»June 16, 2012 Father's Day Cruise on the Fantasy!««

Did you get joined up yet? I did not see anything for a new member requesting to join...maybe I missed it. Headed out to Hilton Head here in a few minutes but going to have a laptop with me so I can add you when we get hooked down there if I have not already done that LOL...the last few days have been hectic getting things together LOL

I think I am doing something wrong. I clicked on the FB icon on the first page, but it brings me to my personal page. Ugh!!

Happy Saturday everyone! A year and 12 days til we sail on the Fantasy! We are in full-on packing mode this weekend for our Alaska trip and were talking about how much easier it will be to pack for next summer's cruise! I hope I will keep my resolve when we get home to get a box to put all our cruise items in so I won't have to keep thinking so much about where I put what - things like our fish extender, our day bag that we like, our over-the-door shoe holder, pop up hampers, etc.

Since we cruise DCL twice a year - we do this! I use one of the Castaway Club bags for our Fish Extender and pop-up hampers (don't use an over-the-door shoe holder) and a few other cruise only items, including a bucket of sand toys for Castaway Cay et el.

You guys will all laugh at this - when DD moved into a big girl bed at 28 months when she potty trained, we just moved her into a new and different room. We left her old room with the crib up for if/when we decide to have one more child. Guess what I use the crib for? Shopping bags full of Fish Extender gifts!!!

I have a shelf in my closet dedicated to all our cruising gear. It sure makes it a lot easier to pack when I don't have to run around trying to find things.

And here I thought you were about to announce the next child... another baby on the cruise to join Jason's new addition.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

No no no - just our "Fish Extender" baby :rotfl: Hey, that crib is nice for storage (lol)!!!

Gotta use it for something! :lmao:

Regarding the box, since we seem to be one of the rare families who DON'T cruise regularly (unless once every 4-5 years is regular :) ), we're just relying on the threads to help remind us of what we want to bring. :worship:

Just wanted to pop in to say hi to everyone. :wave:Hello

I know it has been a while since I have posted. We have been soooooooooooo busy with work and our back2back cruise on the Dream in September. DW and I have been doing so much cruise clothes shopping. We do have allot from our past cruises we can use, but we do need to update the clothes. (Bell bottom pants just don't work any longer - who knew!!!:confused3):lmao::lmao::lmao:
And DW still wants to find this certain "shrug!" (I thought a shrug is when you raise your shoulders up in a gester as to say - I don't know." But what do I know!!! Shrug!):confused3:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2:

DGranddaughter is soooooooo excited about going on this cruise. She is going to help me with our fish extender gifts. She has some pretty good ideas.

Well, I have to run some errands this morning. Ya'll have a GREAT DAY today. Talk to you again real soon.:yay:

Hi All,
We will be also sailing on this cruise. Looking forward to the trip on The Fantasy. We are on The Dream this year for Thanksgiving but looking forward to The Fantasy in 2012. Looks like a very active group already!
Welcome!

Hi everyone! We just booked this cruise yesterday - we've been looking at it since they announced sailing dates and even got a quote early on - sure wish now we'd booked then because the price went up  But nonetheless, we're now officially booked!

Please add us to the Roll Call

First Name of Those Sailing: Cindy (me), DH Gary, DS Nathan and DS Zachary
Ages of children at time of sailing: Nathan turns 16 the day we sail. Zachary will be 14 3/4 when we sail

Cruised Before? Yes, this will be our 7th Disney cruise (8th family cruise, 9th cruise for me)
Celebrating anything special? Nathan's birthday

We live in the north Florida area so we'll be driving down to the port the day before. We've stayed at the Country Inn and Suites and did the park-and-sail with them twice and plan to do that again.

Looking forward to getting to know you all. We definitely would like to participate in the FE - I'll PM the coordinator.
Glad you are joining us!

Hello...we will be joining you on the cruise.

Me (Tammi), DH (Jon), DS (Trevor 15) and DD (Kayla 13)
We are from the Northern Suburbs of Detroit.
This will be our 4th Disney Cruise.
We have Cat 9B room....#2034.
Early Dining...9pm show, but I may try to change that.
Welcome!

So excited to be going on our 2nd Disney Cruise. It will be our 15th anniversary, father's day...Our friends are going also and it is both her sons birthday's while on the ship.....
Welcome!

Weather is starting to warm up here, finally have sun. I can actually deal with mid 60s though....I don't really like the hot weather unless there is always a nice wind blowing, why i like the Caribbean!!

Since you're updating roll call as well as the FE list, you can change our "place holder baby" to Jacob. My wife called me at late Thursday night and at 4:19 Friday morning we have a new baby boy. Mom and baby came home today and we just finished with his first bath. All the kids are excited and can't wait until he's old enough to come with us on the Mickey boat lol.

Now we'll be able to celebrate our anniversary and Jake's 1st birthday on the Fantasy next year.

Almost 1 year to go!!!!!!
Congrats on baby Jacob!!!

Roll call is updated! Proud to announce I have a new, adorable nephew (my brother's first). Baby and mom are both healthy. My trio are at overnight camp this week. We leave on our FOS cruise next week. Doing an Eastern (same ports as next year's Fantasy). On St. Thomas we are doing Godfreys tour and on St. Maarten we are taking a taxi to Maho beach to watch the planes. The cruise is the EXACT same week as our Fantasy cruise next year- leave on Father's Day and my trio will turn 11 on the ship. they've added all the Dreamworks characters, shows, parades, and meals to the FOS, so the kids are happy to meet Madagascar, Shrek, and Kung Fu Panda. And we should get to see the Disney Dream in port!

The FE List has been updated.

I love how you've got the FE list organized - that will be so handy come next spring when we're getting FE Gifts together!

We're heading out for our Alaskan cruise this weekend - we are going to re-price this cruise and see if we can get a better price by rebooking onboard. Hope so!

In just a few days we will hit the 1 year mark!!! It will be here before we all know it. Planning ahead and talking to everyone on here is part of the build up and fun. I think we have a great group already and Scott has gotten things so organized with the FE group. I truly think we have an awesome group to be sailing with!:thumbsup2 I am already enjoying getting to know everyone:banana:

Yeah I can't wait until we hit that 1 year. See time is just flying by.
Actually can't wait to meet everyone on the boat and hit all the staterooms with some FE treats. Driving me crazy not be able to tell the kids about it all, but I really really can't wait to see their surprised faces!!!

371 days left!!!!

We will get to see the Dream in port the last day of our RCCL cruise. She and the Freedom will both be there that day.

And DW still wants to find this certain "shrug!" (I thought a shrug is when you raise your shoulders up in a gester as to say - I don't know." But what do I know!!! Shrug!):confused3:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2:

LOL!! I love it! Tell your DW that I feel her pain. I had a wonderful black shrug that I accidentally left somewhere in Athens during a night out. That was about 6 weeks ago and I keep telling my DH that I need to get a new one. His reply? "Why? It's just a baby sweater!" :rotfl:

Have fun!! You'll have to take notes to share with us. I've never been to St. Thomas or St. Martin (the whole reason we chose this cruise!) but I know that my DS wants to go to Maho Beach, so I'll need advice. :)

Does FOS do any films? Maybe the kids will get to see Kung Fu Panda 2!
