ºoº "Epcot's Candlelight Processional 2005 F.A.Q. & Information,let's share our info.

Hi Ray and Gang -

We have decided we definitely want to attend a showing. We have decided to do a Tier 2 package and will probably attend when Lou Diamond Phillips is narrating (not my first choice, but my Sis has a crush on him).

I will call and order my tickets on Monday. They will mail me vouchers right? When I call will they tell me what time we will be dining? Can I request a show time?

TIA!
Mel

Okay I take offense to the statement about football being important to "us guys" because I am a lady planning her whole entire expensive trip around The Green Bay Packer football schedule(I bleed green and gold) and by the way my husband hates football. Thanks for the great football viewing recommendations. :)

Hi, Kata. Just having some fun...lol. Of course ladies love football, too. I love the Green Bay Packers. I hope that Brett stays forever. Did you see the ESPN Thursday game? I can't believe that the Packers have sold out their games for over 30 years. And the TV announcer said they sell out their scrimmage games, too. Wow!

Hi, MelodyMack. No, they will not mail you vouchers. You will receive a confirmation number. You will pick up all your tickets and dinner vouchers at Walt Disney World.

Yes, they will help coordinate your dining times with your show time.

TIA!

Yes, you can, based on the times that they have set for the particular show that you are going to. A lot of people have had problems getting an early ADR at 4:00 P.M. for a CP show at 8:15 P.M. Let us know how it works out for you Monday.

Sincerely, Ray.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't even think the tree lighting will be done by 6:30 (there's also a little "show" type thing associated with it). Also, they typically want you a little early for ADRs.... maybe book your restuarant just 30 minutes later? Just a thought.

Again, someone (like Ray or another super-informed DISer :)) please correct me if I'm misunderstood.

Hi, tink2020. The show lasts about 20 minutes ending with the lighting of the Christmas tree and the lighting of the Lights of Wonder. I usually stand around another 10 or more minutes to enjoy the lit Christmas tree and the music and dancing lights of the Lights of Winter, and the dancing fountains in the background. I don't think that I would make a 6:30 P.M. ADR either.

Here is another post of mine from earlier.

Here a excerpt from the 2004 Festival Guide - November 26 to December 30, 2004:

Quote:
Mickey's Tree Lighting Treat
JoinMickey as he gathers some friends to celebrate an array of traditions during this special time of the year. You'll hear international holiday music that will get your toes tappin! You're bound to feel the Peace and Goodwill.
Daily at 6:00 P.M.

Lights of Winter
The center walkway that links Future World and World Showcase is spanned by the Lights of Winter. As evening descends, they transform into a dazzling musical display of lights that twinkle and dance to inspirational holiday music. For an added treat, watch as the fountain performs in step with this glistening interlude.

Usually a pair of Cast Members comes out on the small stage surrounding the base of the Epcot Christmas Tree, and start the audience in singing holiday songs.

Then a bus full of Mickey's friends arrives behind the christmas tree and are quickly escorted to the stage. Their is Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Chip, and Dale.

And several Cast Members from each one of the countries also join everyone on stage to sing holiday songs.

Then at the end of the 20 minute show, they light the christmas tree in stages, starting at the bottom of the tree all the way to the top until the christmas tree topper, which looks like an angel holding the world in her hands is finally lit.

Then more music as the Lights of Wonder arch is also lit and starts dancing to the music.

To me this is very special and magical.

Sincerely, Ray

How does this sound? Dinner at Le Cellier at 5:30pm and watch the Candlelight Processional at 8:15pm...Does that sound good? This is our very first trip to WDW and I have no idea what I am doing! I am just going by what I see here on the dis. Thanks, everyone! And thanks RaySharpton for all the awesome Christmas-time info! I would be lost without all the info you provide! :cheer2:

A week or so ago I bought tickets to MVMCP for Dec 13th getting the AP discount. The CM told me that due to having to show my AP and an ID that they couldn't mail the tickets out. He did however notice on his screen that I was going to be down there in Sept and suggested that if I wanted them I could take the confirmation # along with my ID and AP and pick them up at guest relations in MK while I'm there in Sept.

Could I do the same thing with the CP? If I order it for Dec 9th this Monday when they go on sale would I be able to pick the packet up when I go in Sept?

Hi, daisy_77. That sounds like a great plan. A nice relaxing dinner. Maybe get out by 6:30 P.M.. A relaxing walk around through Canada, Great Britain, France, Morocco, Japan, and then you arrive at the American Garden Theater. And after the show. You can watch the 9:30 P.M. Illuminations fireworks. On your way out, to the exit, stop by the christmas tree and the lights of wonder and enjoy the christmas music, sometimes classical music, as the lights dance, and as the water fountains dance in the distance with the Spaceship Earth shining in the background with all of the laser lights bouncing off of it. You'll have a wonderful time.

Sincerely, Ray

Hi, aubriee. Nope. The MVMCP ticket is a small ticket that goes in the gate turnstyle of the WDW park like a regular WDW park admission ticket.

Do you have your AP ticket in your hand now?

If you do, then the WDW computer should be able to pull up your AP information now, sell you the MVMCP ticket and mail them to you now.

If you haven't got the AP in your hands, then they need to give you one at WDW when you get there, and then they can give you the AP discounted MVMCP card after you have your AP card.

If you just wanted to purchase the MVMCP cards without the AP card discount, then you can do that and they can mail it to you.

I wish that I had said that I would have picked up my MVMCP in August at WDW instead of having them mailed to me. I could have saved $3.00 for each MVMCP ticket for two different days for mailing and handling. O.K...to much coffee for me tonight...lol.

The Candlelight Processional is not a ticket per se. And they do not mail them out in advance unless things change this year.

They do not give them to you in September either. Sorry.

You can pick the Candlelight Processional Package plastic see through convention type pin to put your CP info in it as identification for that night to enter the CP show, a dinner voucher, and a receipt when you go in December or whenever you CP show is listed. This is true for everyone unless they do something different this year. Way to much coffee for me. I need to stop posting...lol.

Have fun in September. And when you pick up your MVMCP tickets, ask them if you can choose the WDW character on the ticket that you would like. I got a Minnie Mouse and Pluto on my two tickets. I would have liked Mickey Mouse instead.

Sincerely, Ray

Hi Ray,yes I did watch the game on Thursday and Brett looks great!!!!!!!!, yes the Packers have not only sold out their games for over 30 years but the waiting list for season tickets has about 67,000 names on it so there isn't much chance of ever getting one and I do believe their scrimmage which was family night was against the Bills also sold out (about 63,000 people I think) that was also on tv here by the way(yes I watched it lol)we all love our Packers here. BTW thanks for all your great info on CP I am getting ready to make me CP dining ressies on Monday and am seeing Haley Joel Osment and either Cicely Tyson or James Caviziel please help me decide.
Thanks!!!!! :)

OK, I have a question. Many of us are ready to call Monday. Are y'all planning to call right at 7 a.m. - and "get in line" with everyone calling for their CRT's, or are y'all going to wait until a little later in the day? (stupid question, I know - but I just had to ask! :rotfl: )

I plan on calling 1st thing Monday morning, but I have a dumb ? I live in Wisconsin can anyone tell me what time WDW phone lines open up for ADR Wisconsin time?
Thanks!!! :)

You're on central time, correct? Then you need to be up and dialing at 6a.m.!!

Thanks, I am on central time and 6 am works out great because I leave for work at 7:20am so I can have plenty of time to call before work. Then in 2 weeks I will be at my 90 day mark and up at 6 am for all my ADR.
Thanks again!!!! :)

Oh! One more thing! You should start dialing in at least 2 to 3 minutes BEFORE 6 a.m. - when you hear the "not open" message, hang up and dial again. Good luck! It's going to be a very busy morning on the 15th!

Yep, I'll be calling at 5:58am Central time this Monday too. I'll chalk it up as good practice for CRT.

Thanks Ray. I have my AP and when I bought the MVMCP tickets last week I tried to give the number off it to the CM, but he said he couldn't do it, because I would have to show ID in addition to my AP. I reminded him I had already given him my resort conf# and had my AP in hand ready to give him the numbers, plus I had given him my CC# which was also in my name, so of course I was who I said I was, but he still said AP holders couldn't get them mailed out and had to pick them up in person.

I was just hoping that since I was going to pick up the MVMCP tickets in Sept that I could pick up the CP at the same time.
Thanks!

Once you have made your reservations for the CP and dining, what is the cancellation or modification policy? It has to be paid in full upon reserving, so can we change the date of the CP or place of dining at a later time?

Thanks.

Have they announced a replacement for Gary Sinise yet? I had been planning to see him on the 23 or 24th. Now I don't know whether to change dates to see Mary Matlin or Harry Hamlin or just take my chance with the speakers on the 23 or 24th. Anyone else in the same boat?
Also, between LeCellier and Rose and Crown, which would you choose? We are a family of 5, with 4 being at the adult rate, so it's going to be expensive at LeCellier. Rose and Crown saves me about $30; I suppose I might as well go with LeCellier for that small difference. Is anyone choosing Rose and Crown?

We're in the same boat re Steeler tix, have heard of fans being on the waiting list for 20 years. Always consider ourselves lucky to attend a game. We've traveled to up to 3 different youth FB games in a week. This year only have to attend 2/week. My oldest DS was PA's youngest HS head AA football coach (runs an innovative 600 series), middle is his defensive coordinator (was center for WPIAL championship team), youngest is tightend on youth team. Although I love all watching all levels of football, I'm usually ready for a break around December. Worst case scenario, we'll program the VCR. ;)

What replacement? I've not heard anything about Gary Sinise not being there for the CP? Where did you hear that? Can anyone else confirm this?

Thanks!
