Who is Haley Joel Osment? Am I a geek for not knowing this? What can you eat with a dining package? Same choices as Dining plan (App, Meal, Dessert) ?

I had to look that up too, guess I'm showing my age! He's 17 now.

At a non-buffet, you get an appetizer, meal, dessert, non-alcoholic drink. I believe lobster is excluded at Coral Reef. Last year at Alfredo's, they allowed 2 of us to share a $9.00 dessert sampler with the package.

I thought I heard that the one Sunday night was for local church groups.

When it states that the CP Packages will be available on 8/15, and someone above states a CM told them 8/12. Does this mean all packages will be available, or just the 90 day out ones. For example on 8/12 or 8/15 can you make reservations only for Nov 25 or any night????

Hmmm. Okay, so we were going to go to Epcot on 12/6, but I'd love to hear Jim Caviezel. If we change to Thursday, 12/8, would doing the
6:45pm show and eating at Rose & Crown after, would be have a pretty good shot of waiting until seat was available outside to watch fireworks? Assuming they would be about 9:00pm. Show would end about 7:30pm, we'd get to restaurant about 7:45pm and could wait around for an hour or so, for a seat outside. We'll have two boys, 6 and 4 years old. Please give me your opinions. DH and I were at Epcot in July 1992, but that's it, so it's all new to us.

Illuminations is at 9:30 during Candlelight Processional season.

It could of been any of 3. Was she older with very curly hair, younger with fairly straight hair (these two look a lot alike) or was she very thin with really long hair. Last interpreter is a guy, short, dark and wears glasses

Hi, pic22. I don't know the answer to your question. I do know that the disneyworld.com website says the 15th.

Maybe the Cast Member made a mistake, or maybe they all will be sold earlier.

I guess that it wouldn't hurt to call. But remember there are a lot of Cast Members answering the phone and some may be more or less knowledgeable.

I couldn't hurt for you to call.

I may go see both of them, but one of them I may just get in the standby line.

The narrators are a big part of the program, but the hundreds of singers and orchestra are the main part of the show.

So either on the 12th or the 15th I am making reservations for CP. After some menu browsing we're going with Marrakesh.

If I make an early dinner seating like 5p.m. I may get to the 6:45 and will definately make it to the 8:15. Do I have to choose my showtime when I make reservations? Thing is, late seatings, lingering over coffee what have you. I don't want to be rushed.
I'll be there 12-2 for HJO.
I already have two Epcot days planned so I might come back for Cicely Tyson without doing the diner package.
I will be wearing some sort of Lime Green thing so I hope to see lots of people there.

Question: If we are seeing the CP at 5:00pm, does it start at 5:00pm or start seating at 5:00pm? Wondering if we can make it to the tree lighting at 6:00pm as well and then have dinner at 7:30pm?

You do have to choose which show you want to see when you make your reservation. When you pickup your tickets, they give you a badge with the showtime on it.

The 5:00 show starts at 5:00 and will end about 5:45, you could rush to the 6:00 tree lighting. They have a little show before hand, the tree doesn't actually light until 6:10 or 6:15.

Boy my luck is really going good this week.

Just found out my DD (18), who got a summer temp job on the AFB near us, got an excellent evaluation and they are trying to extend her time past Sep 30th.

Now I come here to check to see what is new and find that the 05 CP packages have been released and can be booked starting Aug 15th. We get to see Rita Moreno. Plan on book Le Cellier for dinner after the 5pm show.

Now I just hope I have the same luck when I call for my ADR's on 8/26. I will definitely be calling early on the 15th to make sure we get the date & time we want.

I think I have decided to do the package at Biergarten due to it's close proximity to the American Garden theater and my father being in an ECV.

I'm still on the fence as to eating before or after the 6:45 show. I'm leaning toward before since my father prefers and early meal. We are planning on Sun Dec 11 or Mon Dec 12.

What time should we plan to be in the package line for CP for the 6:45 show? I'm trying to plan enough time to dine and get in line.

My plans all revolve around the hopes that I can score an Illuminations cruise on the same night, but even if I can't, I'm planning on seeing Gary Sinise during the 6:45 show, and eating at Teppanyaki as soon as they open...that way, I'll have the rest of the evening free to do whatever works...whether it be the coveted cruise or just scoring a good viewing spot to see Illuminations.

OH! It is such a wonderful day to wake up and see all this news...I WILL get to see Marlee Matlin after all...just have to tweak the planning to do so...I am so pysched!!! Who knows, we may just go twice and see Gary Sinise also as planned on Christmas Eve.

Slightly OT here....And thanks TalkingHands for making that clarification about Jack, the man who interprets for Marlee Matlin. You are correct, given the fact that I think he is her personal interpreter, they probably have become very dear friends. I know there are a few Deaf folks in our area that I've become very close to over the years. I know the majority of people don't know much about professional sign language interpreters, and those of us who are "in the biz" always try to educate. When someone who's watched a performance I've interpreted says to me afterward, "Oh, that was just beautiful!" Usually, I just smile and say thank you and leave it at that before I step on their toes.

I didn't realize there would be an additional interpreter to do the music...that is fantastic! I can hardly contain my excitement. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who absolutely loves the work I do.

And for those of you who asked about Haley Joel Osment....
Right...he was the "I see dead people" kid from the movie Sixth Sense. He also was in the movie AI...Artificial Intelligence, SecondHand Lions, and some others that aren't coming to mind right now. And for those of you with young...well teenage daughters...hold them down...DS's friend, Megan, showed me one of her magazines with a photo of Haley Joel from the Sixth Sense and then now... He's 17 and quite a nice looking young man. If I were a wee lass again....hubba!!!

Ya'll I know of only one thing that could make this day better....a great price on the airfare for our trip....

I guess I am thinking, tree lighting at 6, 6:45 cp show and then 7:45 dinner at germany. We have seen illuminations before so its o.k. if we dont get a great view. I have to change my date now until dec. 2 because I see the ap disc. for the mvmcp is for dec. lst show.

You might have a problem getting from the tree lighting to the 6:45 CP show. The tree lighting is a good 20 minutes, I believe. We'd see your group *sprinting* thru WS to get to the theatre!

Hi, mscastel. I have seen a lot of probably parents taking pictures of their children taking part in the chorus from the hundreds of high schools and churches that participate from around the country.

The Cast Members usually request no flashes with cameras and that would probably be true for video cameras to.

I agree with Laurie. When I try to do this, I do not have a CP package, I try to enter the standby line with the knowledge that I may or may not get in depending on the crowd.

I would not follow your plan as you describe it if I had a CP package.

If you had a CP package, you may not make it in time to get a good seat. You might have to sit on the far left or far right, or if there is a large crowd, back on the second tier.

And allow yourself a little more time to get to your dinner, too.

What you are trying to do is what everyone is trying to plan. Trying to find the right balance between the different places that you need to be and yet allow enough time so that you are not late or not to rushed.

Try and think of the distance that you have to walk, and then think of all of the crowds, too.

This planning is harder then I thought, back when I didn't think I'd care who narrated and didn't know about the tree lighting. I think I've got my schedule rearranged how does this sound.

How does this timing sound for dinner/event/walking to next location and any wait time? How early should we show up to the tree lighting to be able to see it, where's the best viewing?

Hi, Turner@TheMouseHouse. The Biergarten is close proximity to the American Garden theater. But the standby line is on the right side of the American Garden theater, and the PC package line is in the left side of the American Garden theater.

WDW asks that you be there about 30 minutes before the show in the CP package line.

Sometimes that PC package line goes all of the way to Japan at over 30 minutes before the show.

I guess it all depends on how many people have bought a CP package that night.

If you dine before, also allow enough time in case you are delayed past your ADR in dining, like the guest at Le Cellier on the first page of this thread.

The earlier you get in line, the more to the center you will be able to park your DH's ECV near the center to watch the CP. There are seats next to the wheelchair/ECV spaces for a few guests to sit, too.

Let us know what you decide to do.
