ª"˜ª¤.¸Official Team May 2014 Thread!¸.¤ª˜"ª

Not at all. I live on the west coast and the idea of getting up 2 days by 4am just to make reservations makes me cringe.

What a MAGICAL day. I'm still trying to decide if/when we are going to do the Wishes Dessert Party for our upcoming trip.

I know right ^ :groom: Well the idea I had was that its memorial weekend. We know its going to be hella busy. So why not get some dessert and sit up on top and enjoy the shows without the hustle. :p
The next day we have the day off and relax by the pool or go to other resorts.

And Im glad I'm not the only one that feels that way about the waking up every morning to book ADRs :sad2:

What a great line up. Looks like you really like BOG!!
I will let you know how the kids club works out for us. If I don't change my mind and cancel it in the upcoming months.

So I'm kinda annoyed that we can't book past 10 days of ADR. Our trip is 14 days total and we were only allowed to book up to 10 days. Now we have to wake up early the next 4 days to book the remaining 4 days. (lol, I sound snobby)

Memorial Day weekend is the exact reason I'm thinking I'm going to make that reservation. For some reason when I initially picked the dates of our trip, I thought Memorial day was the next weekend. LESSON LEARNED!

Edit to add:
Annnnd I just asked the AKL ipo to add the fireworks dessert party onto our adrs for 5/26! I figure out last night there is a great night to go out with a, quite literal, bang!

I give up, I need your help. I am looking for a Disney sweater, sweatshirt or jacket for my baby boy. Some thing light weight that will fold up in the stroller but preferably zip up so I can put it on him in the evenings over his clothes when the weather cools off. He will need an 18 mth or 24 mth. Everything Ive found so far has been either for infants or toddlers. If you find it...let me know, thanks!:surfweb:

Just found out I can rent points to stay at AKL!!! best birthday trip ever.
I can't wait to plan my time and dining...is it too early to be excited??:goodvibes

Have you tried the Disney Store or Babies R Us? Target also has a good collection of Disney items.

Wow.. BOG is super popular. I mean I knew it was but yeeeesh, to not be able to get a reservation 6 months ahead of time? We had to move around our ADRS to get a BOG dinner reservation on our last night there. It was the only night we could manage to get one.

Either way, STILL super excited!!! ADRS done, now to wait and overplan and then overplan again.

Oh yeah and when I talked to the servers last time they said they don't expect it to die down anytime soon.

We haven't done BOG.

Is it worth the wait in line for lunch? (since no reservations are required for lunch)

I've heard the line moves fairly quickly, as long as you're not there during the holidays.

Thanks in advance!

We never waited in line for BoG lunch, we used a FP+ for it. Closer to your trip, you can go to a website, type in your confirmation number (just numbers, the ones with letters don't work) and it allows you to make a FP for lunch. If you're interested in it, there's many threads on it, but that's the easiest way to eat lunch there.

I think it's worth the wait. We waited for at least an hour in the heat of August. They handed out umbrellas for shade and water to everyone in line. Our line moved particularly slow, but we were determined to see the restaurant. I don't know that it lived up to the hype for us, but I was glad we got to experience it. I would wait again to try the remaining dining rooms. We ate in the West Wing last time, which was interesting, but the carts coming in and out of the kitchen access detracted from the experience.

I paid off my trip today with my agent :) I like to do that as then I know I'm really going :dance3:

I also yesterday managed to get an ADR for something I've been wanting to do for years - the dine with an imagineer at Flying Fish. Every year it's never been held during my stay but this year yesterday May 13th suddenly appeared online so I booked. :cheer2:

Isn't there some sort of FP for the line at lunch where you pre order your food and bypass the stand by line? I swear I read that somewhere. We are going at dinner so I didn't dig to deep.

Yes, but it didn't work for us at the time based on our package reservation number. I'm not sure if it's open to all reservation numbers at this point, but if it works for someone, that would be preferable!

Made all my adr's yesterday and was able to get everything we wanted. Our meals are:

5/17: Nine Dragons (anyone been here recently? It's been years since we tried it)

5/18 thru 5/22: cruise

5/22: San Angel Inn
5/23: Cape May
5/24: LTT and CRT
5/25: Tutta Italia

Now to figure out the best airfare. We usually fly out of Syracuse because JetBlue does direct from there but they have their direct flights at odd times now. Have to do some more research.

I don't recommend Nine Dragons, Its like your basic Chinese food. The people are friendly, but the food is your typical Chinese food. I recommend Akershus, Coral Reef, or Via Napoli.
